@@brickintheyard I have made what I feel is a pretty darned good mold, but due to it's nature (and the relatively thin walls of the skillet), the expanding foam just wasn't cutting it. I think the Urethane rubber might be viscous enough to get a proper result. I'll share pics when my BJB order comes in and I can try it.
FP-40 might be a little too firm for a doll skin. You might want to check out silicone options like TC-5110 or the REALLY soft TC-5100. Else where on the channel I have several videos about those materials for "skin" applications.
Thanks for letting me know! Ive seen your videos of you using 5110 and I ordered some different samples from bjb to see what might best work for me. Keep up the great vids! @@brickintheyard
Awesome! This is exactly what I need for my prop skillet. Foam just wasn't cutting it.
Funny you should mention a prop skillet. That is one stunt prop I have wanted to make for a while now!

Good info! I'd love to see this technique combined with embedding pliable wire akin to stop motion puppet limbs.
I'm going to make another video soon to see just how much SC-22 can be added. I think a Shore 10A would probably work well for stop motion.
What would you recommend for a good skin for a doll? This stuff seems like it would work.
