    Cannot kill those 390s. What killed that engine was the gas crisis and the emissions in the 70's. Unfortunately, gas prices are jumping again. Love it, Dad had a choice of 24" and 40" and went for the 24". Shoulda got both, lol. That's gonna make someone very happy when she is rolling down the road. I'd like to see those brakes upgraded to discs all around. I thinks it's crazy to have drum brakes on a 390 equipped rig. Big ole Patina Rig. Another fun (and family friendly vid). Good on Y'all.

      The gas crisis then killed the big engines... the one now is going to kill all gas powered engines.

    Hi Rev. Dave, thank you so very much for your videos, they are COOL. Please allow me to say that many people live on saying things about this and that, ordinary things like "you should...", "don't ...", etc., trying to sell other people what they oughta do. I feel very happy and still keep respect for mankind everytime I see one of your videos. You live by the example, no by the words and this is the most important thing a man can do, and in your case THE most important of all, you are the Rev. Harvesting quality time with your dad. Congratulations Rev. Dave, and please continue with the videos. Respect, from Tarragona, Spain. And before I forget, "Dear Lord, what a Ford!!!".

Just gotta “ give them a second use “ - Common thought: The famous Cool Whip container . Trash ? NO , food storage - leftovers . An idea I have done for a long long while : When you or someone in your household pitches out a mechanical device : Strip and store the screws , washers and bolts. Just the same situation with multiple things being pitched

      The intake manifold also has the 1964 and earlier oil filler tube. There's been some serious parts swapping on this truck.

    The truck has a beefed up rear suspension probably ordered that way to pull a fifth wheel with. Thats why it sits up higher and levels out when loaded or pulling a 5th wheel.

    As much carburetor work you do on fords 2 bbl , you need to get a tool for the air fuel mixtures adjustments . I got mine I think from from Snap on tools about 35 years ago for my 78 Ford truck, which I still have that I bought new. A whole lot easier than a screw driver. Now since I put a four barrel holly on it, don't use it much.

    • @RevStoration
      @RevStoration 3 роки тому

      If I do it one time and it works... I usually do not think about doing it any other way... A screw driver is always handy... Thanks for the heads up and thanks for watching.
