We are being shown two women using extremely primitive cooking tools and methods, yet they have apparently ready access to what appears to be gourmet bottled coconut oil, shallots, not common onions... kinda beggars belief that this is true. Before you squeal "oh shame, America is awful!" Check the nationalities of the folks commenting, remember, filming something like this, and making a youtube video Production to upload takes some ability, not to mention equipment, lighting, Power to record such a long video.... it's hardly likely to be in a village as primitive as you assume from what you have been shown. I believe, in America... there are still people not so self absorbed and selfimportant as to assume that they must defend folks apparently not living as uncomfortable an egocentric existence

The amount of work that goes into this meal is mind boggling. And we don't see them fetching the water, or building the fire and washing the pots. This is how we are intended to eat, real food, fresh, clean, and well prepared. This food is true nourishment.

I like the cute dress the grandmother is wearing. I wish I was as nimble as her. Bare feet, and I hear squatting is good for your hips. I like that they don't use chairs or counters or cutting boards. Just one knife each and a basket. I like that I don't see any plastic. I'm tired of seeing plastic everywhere. So much food, made so efficiently and simply. No electricity, campfire to cook with. I admire the natural way they cook. It looks like a lot of work, but I think it looks so healthy to live like this.

Just WOW!! I JUST discovered your channel and after almost 40 YEARS of nutritional research. I can honestly say that - that (other than the copious amounts of oil and salt , which can just about be excused by the shear volume of the recipe) was one of the most nutrient dense cooked meals I've ever seen! (Yes, I could go into biochemical details but I'll spare you!) Yes, I'm an American but I shake my head in disgust at the choices we often make in our diets. THIS is REAL WHOLE FOOD COOKING! The way the guy upstairs intended us to eat! What an honor it would be to come to your village and ENJOY this and other dishes you make. (No meat please) you bet. I would bow to the preparers and certainly help clean up the kitchen! The kids at the end are SO LUCKY eating these meals instead of the western McDonalds (McCrap) and you bet, I will show this to my daughter and tell her "see, I've told you for years that THIS is how God wants us to eat!!! Thank you! I'm now hungry!!!

That's pretty common in India ..still many ppl use it for cutting instead of knife. Actually those are used in farms for crop cutting and we use them for vegetables cutting as well

I was raised like that here in America! When you come from a LARGE FAMILY (14) we were taught at 5 yrs of age how to cook and clean! You better believe our Mother did not have to do anything but cook our special meals on Sundays, because we children took care of everything else! It's how all children should be raised on how to take care of themselves once they leave out to be on their own! THIS IS A VERY GOOD THING!

The Grandma has a bandage on her finger (4:45) which she didn't have at the beginning. Did she get hurt with that weird knife?
I noticed they both had bandages on by the time they got done... had to be those knives. I don't know how you could NOT cut yourself on those!

Remind me of the good old days. Also remind me of how we did not have a lot but was content in what we had. So peaceful in the background. Water so crystal clear. I thank God for this video today brought back memories.
I was raised like that here in America! When you come from a LARGE FAMILY (14) we were taught at 5 yrs of age how to cook and clean! You better believe our Mother did not have to do anything but cook our special meals on Sundays, because we children took care of everything else! It's how all children should be raised on how to take care of themselves once they leave out to be on their own! THIS IS A VERY GOOD THING!

The sound of water, environment and laddle is music to my ears, i used to live with grandma when i was a kid and i remember how everything was so naive and natural and beautiful but now everything has modernize and changed i wish i could live and experience this kind of life one more time...
