No one has ever been more artistic than Paul Wylie!!!
How sad that so few have viewed this gorgeous tribute and far fewer still acknowledged it. Absolutely stunning, mesmerizing, moving ... bravo Paul Wylie.
+issis666 - Paul Wylie was always my favorite. It's not just about the jumps! The line, the expression, the heart and soul and no one does it better than Paul!
Not a fan of him but yes I absolutely agree.
A great skater. Always loved his spins, flying splits and he's so artistic and passionate out there on the ice. In my opinion it shouldn't be just about the jumps. Jumps are great and all but when you can tell a story too that's what makes it a complete performance. Paul skates a complete performance every time.
Awesome.. I miss these days of skating
Amazing artistry and ability to create nuances of still images and memories. And that spread eagle is wowww
This was, in my opinion, one of Paul Wylie's three most heartwrenchingly beautiful programs that he ever skated in his life. It's a work of genius (and I forget it's part of a competition). I cry every time I watch it. Perhaps not enough people have watched it because it's too subtle or too 'contemporary' for them. I think it's absolutely brilliant and the emotions feel so real and so deeply buried (from angst to horror to 'fading away' (as out of history's memory) at the end.
Very emotional and powerfully done!!!
4:14 That spread eagle ending! Oh my. I have no words.
I have always been so moved by this performance and watch it often.
Ridiculously good.
Stunning....still.
I miss the beauty that was once part of skating. And Paul's skating was poetic.
He looks like he wants to cry
Absolutely beautiful
Well done Paul. Hey I still remember how you put your article in brio magazine. If you hadn't I would of never learned to step up and overcome a lot of my own fears. As a born again believer I'm so grateful for the impact that you, Elvis_ and katia have had and continue to have on my life. I know right know as I walk through a 4 year injury. Its been tough. Its gotten worse, I'm experiencing pain in my shoulder blade and collar bone, in the same arm that my injury is in. Through it I'm learning to stand, to understand what it means to trust in and rest in the love and goodness of our heavenly father, even through the tears
I watched 10 years ago and it was seared into my brain. Beautiful!! You feel the moments--life as usual, then chaos and fear, then relief--freedom.
Stunning!
Brilliant
He amazing 😉 good job 👍
What are the steps starting at 5:20 called?
Safly all skating is now are jumps... They are not as creative, meaniful, powerful or as beautiful as this. Bring back skating like this.
Those skating days of artistic beauty are gone unfortunately. All about jumping now. Never be anyone like Paul Wylie! Not even Scott Hamilton's or Brian Boitano's footwork could match Paul's.
