Realities of wheelchair life, There was supposed to be a lot more to this vlog but I got struck down with horrendous vertigo. I’m feeling a lot better today. I hope you enjoy these kind of vlogs. Subscribe as next week is Disability news!.
When you guys decide to get your next piercings, I urge you to consider a studio that uses needles, especially if doing cartilage. The guns just force a mostly-blunt object through the tissue, causing uneven tearing and unnecessary trauma (harder to heal), and it can permanently shatter cartilage.
I’m extremely happy you showed what happens when you try to have a normal life and for us disabled, how easy it is to overdo it. Have been watching you for years and love what you do. Keep Up the good work and don’t be afraid to show the realities of being disabled. Most people don’t see us when we are having a bad day and have no clue what our lives are really like.
Wow Daisy, That cake looked fabulous. Well done. Just one thing you didn't get quite right. You didn't scrape out the mixing bowl and eat the leftovers! That's the best part of baking cakes.
Love the low spoons baking - shame you can't really get gluten free options, but I'm looking forward to being able to bake again one of these days. Especially with raspberries, you can't really go wrong there. Daisy's artistry with the decorating is amazing. You've made me think - I need to check my off road wheels for goose poo. I had to roll through quite a lot of it last time I was out. It was either the poo, or the geese themselves, and I didn't fancy upsetting them...
well baking is not my thing haha that's why its good Daisy loves it and i love doing it with her , she is very creative, i hope you get to bake soon ,thx for sharing.
Here in the US we have pretty easy access to GF baking mixes, including ones from Betty Crocker. My local grocery has 10 different ones from 7 manufacturers, and the nearby Walmart has 14 varieties from 8 manufacturers.
@@kelly1827 I managed to pick up a single one in M&S yesterday - an orange & poppy seed loaf. It's literally the only cake mix I've ever seen, and it was marked "reduced to clear", so it won't be around much longer. Maybe Amazon might be able to oblige? Assuming they aren't massively marked up because they're imported, of course
Thanks for the smile. I’m in the hospital now. Apparently I have an infarction spleen and a thrombosis (blood clot) on my aorta. (🫀 that’s a rare disorder) they caught it in time before it became fatal or did real damage to my body organs. Because I’m a “fall risk” I’m not allowed to get out of bed not even to urinate without calling for assistance. Valentine’s Day was hard for me, due to suffering a major heart burn apparently due to the disease I didn’t know I had. (But I knew something was wrong with the severe attacks I’ve been having with my GI track) my uncle passed away on Valentine’s Day. So watching you and your beautiful daughter have a delightful time together to me was a real treat. Thank You for sharing those special memories.😊
Just a random baking tip - for even easier baking you can just mix one of those Betty Crocker mixes with any can of fizzy, and it'll turn out really well (and vegan if that floats your boat)
DB stuffing that big bite into her mouth is so relatable! Lol... I just had my 2nd lobe piercings done a few weeks ago. I hope you're both healing well too.
Gem I hope you are feeling better today? I used to be a baker many moons ago and I used to make a red velvet cake for my wife and daughter, but as my MS has got worse my daughter has picked up my baking skills and does a pretty good job, she made a birthday cake for my wife which was on the 10th February, we don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day as it’s my wife’s birthday just a few days before valentines and we both love each other, ever since I was diagnosed with PPMS just over ten years ago I told her to leave me, but luckily she refused to leave me. So I’m a lucky man as she has stuck with me through thick and thin😃👨🏻🦽, we did a bit of shopping today for our holiday to Florida in August just a few things we are going to need until the big fly day, and I think it will be our first time Vlogging! 🇺🇸✈️👨🏻🦽
I have RRMS, but my first attack did a number on my spinal cord so I rarely bake solo anymore because it just wipes me out. One of our kids went to a technical high school and majored in Baking & Pastry Arts, so this past Valentine's Day I "commissioned" her to bake a spice cake for my husband (his favorite). She made the executive decision to make them as jumbo cupcakes instead, so he could more easily take one to work (he's a tractor trailer driver). 😊
Your Hefferlump is like my cats, you making food I want food. Look like you have good fun in the Kitchen. As for poo thats why I wear gloves, most people don't walk outside in bare feet.
Glad you are feeling better now! The cake looks so good in spite of the water troubles. DB is so energetic and brings a totally different vibe to the vlog, it’s great to be young isn’t it? 😂
You really shouldn’t get them done with a piercing gun. That device is punching a hole in the ear instead of cutting. The needle is so much better for healing and safer too
Glad you're feeling better I really enjoyed the clips of you and Daisy baking a Valentine's Day cake and how much you to enjoy that. Even though it didn't go according to plan LOL :-)
Lovely vlog. Was nice to see you and daisy shsre your dsy with us. Thanks. Sorry to hear bout vertigo. I have days i struggle to get out of bed cos extreme fatigue or POTS but people dont understand
The worst thing I ever rolled through was cat poop! It smells SO bad and takes an act of Congress to get rid of. 😂 About the vertigo, I get that if I'm not properly hydrated before bed. Something you can consider.
Eewe cat poo is horrible!! So is fox. Tbh any poo is bad. However bird poo on the scale isn’t too bad. 😂 ooo thanks maybe I’ll keep on top of my hydration….i can’t restrict liquids of going out. X
Dog poo! Was not nice and smelt absolutely disgusting for too long! Having to clean my floors and chair many times just for that one occasion. Top tip: Add lights on your wheelchair if going out at night. Bike lights work well xx
@@Wheelsnoheels I'm glad to hear that! the piercings I got done with a needle healed faster than the ones I had done with the gun, esp the cartilage ones
Come on, ladies, you can do better than this??? I am 77, and my grandmother and aunt had me making cakes from scratch when I was young. I remember beating everything with spoons 🥄. I was her electric mixer. It was fun watching you 2 have fun.
Hi gem, this is not a judgment or hate comment but having piercings with guns is not good, it causes alot of trauma to the piercing site, if you go to a professional piercer and have it done with a needle it hurts much less and heals so much easier and quicker, a piercing gun is forcing the earring into your skin and it causes alot of trauma where as with a needle the needle creates a gap for the hole to go through and therefore doesn't cause any damage, if you still choose a gun after reading this then no judgment from me but just wanted to let you know x
I never realized you had a mini-me. The piercing reminded me of the first time I got my ear pierced. The young lady I was dating wanted another piercing. and somehow talked me into getting my ear pierced as well. Aww the things we will do for love.

The cake mix attached itself to the whisk blades in the exact shape of a cooked chicken! 😂
@bonnieharris4538 I saw the chicken too. 😅

The scraping tge bowl out and eating raw cake mix was always the best.
😂

Thanks for the video. Bless your faces!
The cake turned out lovely! I’m sure it tasted even better! One piercing in each lobe was enough for me 😂

🤔hmmm that's got me thinking
How is it now?
When i have vertigo i only use one eye open. It seems to help me.
Ahh good idea. Ill try that
