The Substance was AMAZING! Not only does it highlight a woman’s long going battle with societal expectations, it reminds me of the pressure guys now have more than ever before to take steroids to achieve the ideal body of these IG fitness influencers. I have a friend who is taking some but I never had the guts to do so. I would be lying if I said I didn’t think about it.
Saw both movies, the one with her mother was great, very goodl acting, the movie the Substance I kind of regret watching, it was disturbing.. But Margaret was amazing in both.
@@RumourJuice the unnecessary female nudity in every other scene was distracting from the message it just seemed like an excuse for men to get their rocks off so they can pretensiously send a "message".
@@gorebak8086 I believe that shrimp scene, the producers of the movie wanted us to focus on how indecent his mannerism was towards people who are no longer useful to him, and how he didn't care about the female actor's feelings because he gave her a news that should lose both their appetite but he was sitting there consuming like 5 kgs of shrimps and didn't even try to fake empathy towards her.
This is a movie totally whrited and starred by womens, the foucus was the story and not being eclusive, and guess what, a great movie shows up, women dont need wokes to shine, they just need quality in their works
Love this movie♡ both actresses were amazing
Had no idea that Margaret Qualley is a "Nepo baby". 🤯She was fantastic in The Substance!

If these three actors don't get nominated, I will be mad.

This movie was weird
Haha, sometimes weird is what makes it memorable, right? 🎥 What part stuck out to you the most?
@@RumourJuicethe part when we had unnecessarily close ups of the male character eating shrimp
@@gorebak8086 oh so you didn't watch it then just the part he's eating shrimp up close in video on this UA-cam video
