Just a quick video showing how to Replace Front Brake Pads on a 2018 GMC Yukon XL. (Same as Chevy Suburban) This is the same process for many other GM and Chevy Models and Years.
You will need:
A Couple Large Screwdrivers or small prybars
19mm wrench or socket with ratchet or breaker bar
Sil-glyde or other brake grease
19mm thin profile open end wrench
Wire Brush
Brake Cleaner
Medium Strength Threadlocker (I didn't show this in the video, but it could be cleaned off and re-applied to the caliper bracket bolts if needed).
The torque specs I found online for the Caliper Slide Pin bolts was 74 ft lbs.
Here's a video of how to replace the rear brake pads on this same vehicle: • 2018 GMC YUKON XL - RE...

Ty for the video!!🙏🏿
Great video. Question - would this be the same for a 2015 Yukon Denali?
Also how do you determine when you can get by with a pad replacement vs pads and rotors?
If the rotors are highly glazed /shiny and /or if they are ‘warped’ or causing the brake pedal to pulsate or shake at all when heavy braking it’s time to change them or have them resurfaced. Thanks for watching!

And Yes, it’s the same procedure for a 2015 Denali
