IMO, too much auto-tune, it makes the vocal part sounds unnaturally. Personally, pop songs, especially the 2000's normally do not fit well with this supportive tool,. I prefer listen to autotuned vocals in EDM, trap,...sometimes rap
The autotune began to be used in 1998 in pop with Cher. From that moment on, ALL the big pop producers began to use it in all the music productions. If you listen to the original song, it has a lot of autotune.
@@Mazzetti26 I agree with you auto-tune originates from 2000’s and many producers used it effectively, especially when the vocalists don’t have the optimal physical condition in both studio and on stage. I just personally think that this record would be much better if it was reduced enough to enhance his natural vocal rather than dominate it.
@@levietanh5146 Actually you’re wrong man, first of all, Auto-Tune was first used by Cher in 1998, not in the 2000’s. Second and most important of all, using Auto-Tune doesn’t mean a vocalist can’t sing… Auto-Tune is not only a tuning correction tool, it is mostly used for adding texture and color to certain genres of music, for example, pop music. EVERY artist such as NSYNC, Sabrina Carpenter, Sam Smith, Lady Gaga, etc., uses Auto-Tune and they all sing amazingly, both in studio and on stage. They just use it because it gives a kinda “robotic” effect to the voice, which is a fundamental part of the pop sound. I suggest you do some research before hating on an artist that’s literally doing EVERYTHING pop artists do in the genre (the original song has TONS of Auto-Tune too). He has a great voice and his cover is amazing! I think he did a great job!
I have been hearing this nonstop, this is honestly the best cover of capturing the original charm
