It sounds like you filmed this in a bird sanctuary or something lmao. This was a good one though, I never realized how interesting the Raven Guard were.
I'm painting some units with black armour. I gave them a base coat of matt black, then drybrushed with sky grey. Then a light spray coat of gunship grey. Finally a wash of Nuln Oil to bring it down a shade and fill in the crevices. It's more of a Charcoal Grey, but it looks black, andd is quick and easy. It's also a sneaky way to paint all the black tubes and joints at the same time. I'm highly tempted to get that Dark Fury squad. They look badass and Corvus helmets are my favourite. Wish they were a bit cheaper though. I'm thinking of using them for a successor chapter rather than a straight up RavenGuard force though. I thought that 'Edge Lords' would be an amusing chapter name!
That's an easy one, Iron Warriors, Ultramarines, Iron Hands and maybe Imperial Fists are all really basic and easy to understand, with flat buffs or basic rules. Their specialist units also don't take much understanding to field and all around they are simple. At the other end of the Spectrum you have the Thousand Sons, Raven Guard, Alpha Legion, Emperors Children, Sons of Horus, Night Lords and maybe Dark Angels, who are all legions you need to be switched on with to get the most out of. Notice that the more static a force is, the more simple they are to work with, whilst the higher mobility forces generally are a higher skill-cap because they rely on positioning to achieve their goals.
I used a different mic to record the episode, a condenser instead of my dynamic. Going to be trying a few new things soon in order to try and get crystal clear audio.
Corax will lose agents other primarchs on a 1 VS 1 BUT Corax is the best primarch on the table. Hatd to hit fast loads of attacks, very very VERY easy to make his points back!
So he's similar to Alpharius then in terms of focus? I'm not well into the tabletop but I'm curious how they play in relation. What makes Corax the best compared to his brothers?
12 inch movement and you can't shoot him if he's the closest Raven guard model. So he neede no transport or bodyguard,so you can't run from his movement and you can't shoot him before he gets to you, and he still hits like a primarch yet with lots of attacks.
Also it's only if he ISN'T the closest unit. If he is the closest then snap shots don't apply anymore. It's kinda a matter of him blending in at a distance.... He's a solid Primarch, but probably 30 points overcosted, with lower fighting stats than many Primarchs, especially strange due to his being a combat-oriented Primarch. On the bright side, he also makes a half-decent Moritat due to duel wielding archaeotech pistols.
@@TheOuterCircle What about Jump units that get buffs like the Sons of Horus ones, or those who can carry esoteric weaponry like the Word Bearer's ashen circle and their Phosphex bombs.

Raven Guard, were an interesting derision of Marines, as half of them went rogue and their gene seed became corrupt, wiping out half their numbers, so what was left became specialised .
The Raven Guard are one of the most Loyal Legions/chapters. As an ex-Raven Guard player, when did half their legion go rogue? The reason their numbers dwindled is because of the unfortunate drop site massacre.
I've been working on this legion for over a year. I'm nearly done with the first 2500 points.
It sounds like you filmed this in a bird sanctuary or something lmao. This was a good one though, I never realized how interesting the Raven Guard were.
Hugh Mungus He filmed it in the Raven Guard sanctuary clearly. You can hear the tweets of Kayvaan Shrike in the back if you listen closely.
To me it sounds like two Star Wars droids copulating.

Wow - I'm really impressed with how many of these you've been putting out recently. Keep up the good work!
Love these army legion focus videos you're doing!
Could it be possible to do a ranking after all of the legion videos to see which ones are the best for beginners.

Thanks circle, that helped me alot to understand it easier. My favorite legions are the fists, the sons, and the ravens.
Pick one that's isn't black
Imperial fists, thousand sons and raven guard. Those are the chapters that I like the most
@@TheOuterCircle I'm surprised the death guard aren't easy to master honestly but I'm also a shit strategist so that could be why
the old spacemarien boxes always have some mk6 armor parts, you can ask your friends for some.the FW mk6 is too expensive.
2021 and still waiting on the Destroyers rework
Worth the wait.
Anyone got a link to see the chaplain mentioned ~53 seconds in? Also....
EXCITED FOR ALPHA LEGIIOOOOOAHHHHLLL
Almost time!..
Ozymandias1989 I am Alpharius
oooo I’m ready for alpha legion
Have I heard well? Is a new HH book gonna get out? Please explain me? (also because I heard Blood Angels and I'd like to play them in HH)
It's coming end of year.
Great video, thanks. But what was all that squeaking or squealing in the background? Really glad i wasn't wearing headphones.
Cheers!

I wondered that I had headphones on and thought my dog was dying or some shit 🤣
The Outer Circle awesome video by the way! I would have liked for you to have gone into that special sniper unit more!

Ah I see, thanks for filling me in (y)
You can shoot at him, just only with snap shots

disagree so fun to paint
Do missile launchers instead of plasma work?
Just curious what does etched brass do?
It is just a nice alternative to using transfers. They are icons and so on.
No Dark Furies?
Only if you want to spend a bajillion points on a unit killed as easily by boltguns as anything else....
The Outer Circle. Ok so they are a bad unit overall than?
No, not bad, in fact, points are solid for what they are, but jump troops are just the shitty version of bikes with none of the cool ranged wargear.

I'm surprised you didn't go assault marines as troops?
There's a really odd echo to your voice in this video
Yeah, some quality control would be nice. Maybe the mike is from Forgeworld.

What about Dark Angels?
I thought Alpha Legion was the new meme?
Logan Stafford That was last week.
My apologies I'll correct this comment
Audio is kinda fucked.

Has mixing up the story of the terran vets being sent away from the legion.
Therefore I take back what you know better as an EX Raven Guard Player!
