Cut flowers are murder. My wedding bouquet for my wife was her pick. A Beautiful Cecil Brunner Rose plant in a 5 gallon can. No tossing the flowers for her !!! It has grown into a literal jungle,and she is training it over the walkway into the Jacuzzi area. The gal at Lowes gave her a massive discount,by the dept mgrs request,when they heard it was a wedding bouquet !! Tears flowed and hugs abounded.

Poor plants don't even see dirt. And pulling bulbs (bollen halen) is not a summer job for Dutch kids anymore, I guess.
