Top bit of filming Andy, what a great day out met your goodself and Al the trowel (hooks) ..haven't washed my hand since 😊..totally agree apprentices racing not for me..eco bricks how you gonna lay them when they turn up piss wet ,shout out to James boydell (competitor) emmalee (stone/bricklayer) Alfie from Wales met in the bar next-door ...well done Charlie n Tom 👏👏👏.....thanks again Andy, gutted never got to buy you a pint maybe nextyear👏👏👍
What a great day out it was! It was fab to be there and see Charlie win again. Well done - I did video the line issue as well, but it didn’t stop you being a champ. Looking forward to next year. This is such a great event - the construction industry needs more like this to inspire the younger generation. @charliecollison
100% right what you said about the apprentices" its not about bish bash bosh, you have got to learn to walk, before you can run, as you know andy it takes time to learn bricklaying, as you are learning something new everyday" start off right" and you will be fine" speed comes later"
Hi Andy. Since you've just uploaded this vid I just want to say thank you. Keep up the good work. Sharing your knowledge from a wealth of experience with an honest approach. Much appreciated, I'm learning a lot from following your channel 👍👍
Thanks Andy looked like you had a great day and a good atmosphere around the place. Congratulations to Charlie top man. Would love to have been there but its a hell of a trip up from Cornwall.
Evening Andy, I said a quick hello at the show, didn't want to bother you, it was down the Collison corner and there where just too many people around. I did witness Charlie having a mare with his lines, fair play, he didn't get stressed, he just sorted it out and got back into his rhythm, fantastic economy of movement. Had a chat with Al, top bloke, you lads do well because you are so familiar to us now, we think we know you, we come bowling up and you have never met us before in your life! Two inch bricks? Can you image on a site? They can't even keep four inch bricks upright. As for structural stability, heaven only knows. Totally agree with you regarding the young lads competition. No. It's duming down the craft. We were all taught, "Never mind the speed, that comes with experience, learn to do it right first." Don't worry about repeating themes in your video's, there is always something different. However I am looking forward to a bit of Australian content.
@@harveysmith100 So am i lol, thanks for the comments us lads really appreciate it. Yea its really strange Harvey as people know our faces but we dont know yours, glad you had a great day 👍
great to see you guys there. proper decent video andy put out. reading the comments i think we all enjoyed it. hope you get your hip sorted soon pal.its been a while.
He's top class that Charlie he won last year aswel 720 bricks wow saying that you are a good brickie and a jobbing builder Charlie ain't got your knowledge great video Andy also you can get a pint there how much was the pint there not cheap I bet nice to see Alex and is dad on the video did he say he was struggling for work.
In the competition there are no profiles. I do know where you are coming from though, a lot of skill is being lost because the lack of corner building.
For me it's getting to much like Spec Mix America! I seen more mortor on the floor than anything else! Empty perps! Could climb up most of the walls they were that rough! I'd rather see them get something technical/creative to build test their skill and ability! Any young apprentices or any young lads or lasses wanting to get into the trade this is not how you do it!
@@Kmont-m2u It was always going go that way as Specmix is a proven success but i agree there should be other categories with higher skill sets needed for variation.
Love the Interview with Charlie and line's Gold 😂🤣😂 Giving the boy's a head Start Legend

Good video . But who lays Bricks in a warehouse.
Can’t be many brickys at this competition that bar should be packed. Mind you it’s not raining lol
Save on brick so you can put more plastic between the walls

Can't todays bricklayers build piers or anything without profiles ? ......... Sad state of the trade . 🏴
