Take that a step further, it's even worse when u consider that lamars worst defense in his first 7 years as a pro was ranked 19th and they missed the playoffs. Manning had 1 defense rank in the top 10 during that 7 year run he didn't win, every other year they were bottom half of the league defensively at best while lamar routinely has a top 5 defense while his regression in play in the playoffs directly leads to them losing
Agree Lamar is the 2 time possible 3 time regular season champion, I’m taking him over any other quarterback to win me a REGULAR SEASON game, good for him but come the playoffs I’m taking 5 other qbs over him to win me a playoff game, Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Mathew Stafford, Jayden Daniel’s and Joe Burrow. Lamar and Dak aren’t any different in the playoffs but Dak gets cooked every segment, while Lamar gets cuddled and they blame his receivers.
Now wait a minute. All season long, I've had to listen to everyone but Chase Daniel tell us that every loss the Bengals had, was on Joe Burrow. Joe Burrow is the QB, Joe Burrow did not play a perfect game (couple 3-and-outs, a couple turnovers) and therefore the loss was on him. Not the defense, not on WRs/TEs who dropped passes, it was all on him. This loss is on Lamar Jackson, according to that logic. Is there any other reason it wouldn't be, Shady? James??
The thing we are missing with a Manning comparison, is the teams Lamar has had were collectively better than those Colts teams, especially defensively, but as soon as a defense showed up for Manning, he won
@@CoelSOPASTLOCAL Josh Allen is a VETERAN, he has been to the AFC championship game before so we EXPECT him to deliver in the playoff especially with how few turnovers he produced this year (much more responsible handling of the pigskin). the only quarterback rn that plays with house money is Jayden Daniels because no one in their right mind expected him to be in the NFC Championship game.

Once a QB salary kicks in you have to be a destination team to get free agents. For example, say tee Higgins becomes free next year, cowboys are tax free and America’s team. Miami is tax free and location. The chargers are in LA. Chiefs probably get him a ring. Baltimore has nothing. Even Derek Henry, why would he stay when he can go to a warm, no tax place? His unanimous mvp season in 19-20 when they went 14-2 coming off of 12 straight wins just to lose at home to the 9-7 Titans also lead by Derrick Henry while throwing 3 ints. That was telling
Let me guess next year Lamar again …… been hearing next year Lamar for 5 years now. He gets the best team and players two years in a row. Number 1 in almost everything. What more does he need to win.
Shady can’t keep his logic consistent. Whenever James Jones brings up Aaron Rodgers and how talented he is, Shady talks about how he has all that talent but only one SB, and that the MVPs never translated to anything. But now, he’s defending Lamar who has almost as many MVPs as AR12, with no ring, but he’s given the benefit of the doubt? 😂😂😂 Shady is a clown, frfr.

Every Lamar season ends the same. He has a great regular season and is sitting home at the end after a multiple turnover loss. He gotta be the most protected QB in the NFL ever with Aaron Rodgers.
Shady ‘acts’ like wait a minute is courteous….he’s always the 1st to speak and NO ONE interrupts him but he can’t let anyone speak! Management needs to stop that. It’s very disrespectful and makes the show hard to follow!
If we're just looking at the regular season, Lamar already has the resume of a top 5 QB of all time. The reason why he's nowhere near top 5 is because he hasn't done anything in the playoffs. So yes, this season was a wasted season because he did very little in advancing his playoff resume. This isn't that complicated to me.

He's already done all that. He's already put up the huge stats. He's already got MVP twice. He did not make it to the Super Bowl. Therefore, he did not win the Super Bowl. Therefore, in my opinion it was another wasted season. No question about it.
Not wasted but LJ just passed Peyton as the worst Superstar performer in history. More Tds than turnovers. First game all season with Multiple turnovers, turnovers that led to points. 0-3 against Mahomes/Allen. Any other MVP QB is getting fried for that sample size & performance

James Jones is correct. When you have a great season and don't get to the ultimate goal, your great season was WASTED. Its not dismissed, not considered void, it's simply wasted because theoretically any great season makes the path to a championship easier. Wasted doesn't mean bad.
Because they are, at least the last two in my opinion. The first he deserved, but these last two(if he gets this years') are atrocious because it takes completely different arguments for him to get each. For the argument that he needs for this years', Brock Purdy or Dak shouldve won last year, and the argument he had last year dictates that it would be Mahomes this year. Its crazy how they flip the script for him
Lamar's window is closing each year bc he's not a pure passer...his speed is gonna decrease as each year passes. Once his legs r gone, his window will officially be closed!!!
WHY are people only ever posting or saying "4 int" when referring to Lamar yet all of Josh's career it was his total turnovers. For the record Lamar had MORE turnovers than Josh even though Josh threw 2 more INTs. FFS stop omitting facts that you wouldn't do for others.
Because no one wants to see an all time talent lose in the big moments. Sure, he was still a top 3 QB during that time. But just like Lamar now, any season not in the SB is just a waste if he wants to be in that QB Mount Rushmore.
People who don't understand football don't understand your point. The Ravens only ran Henry 15 times because they were behind. They were behind because of Lamar's bad play and turnovers. Then they blame a tight end for dropping the last ball but ignore everything Lamar did to put them in that bad situation.
I must have watched a different game. I watched a QB drive down the field with a couple minutes left on the clock and score only to have The TE drop the game tying pass in the end zone.
@@macado7948 And they left plenty of time on the clock to give BUF a chance to get in FG range. Mark gets blame, no question. But they wouldn't have been in that position in the first place if Lamar didn't turn the ball over twice.

The last play of the game is important but they were in a terrible position all game because of Lamar's bad play. He marched them down the field at the end and got the 2pt conversion, that's to his credit. Even if the guy caught the ball the Bills had 93 seconds to get a FG, which Allen is very capable of doing. WASTED SEASON. Helps his accolades and his contract, but times are about to get TOUGHER for Baltimore and the IRONY knowing LJ likely won't give them what Trent Dilfer and Joe Flacco have done. All of those skills and no brains - TURNOVERS are self-suiciding stupidity in the playoffs.
The Peyton Manning comparisons are getting tired, their records might have been the same but actually analyze the scenarios both players were in. Peyton and lamar both had weapons on offense, lamars defense the first 7 years ranked: 2nd, 3rd, 2nd, 19th (missed the playoffs), 3rd, 1st, 9th. Peyton Manning defense first 7 years: 29th, 17th, 15th, 31st, 7th, 20th, 19th, when he finally had a 2nd ranked defense it happened to be his 9th year in the league when they won. Peyton had to overcome horrendous defenses and score unreasonable amount of points to win in the playoffs and came up short, lamar jackson regresses in the playoffs every year with a roster good enough to win.
9:21 My problem with this argument is it presumes that Brady and Mahomes are unbeatable, so what can anyone else do but just accept it's their era. They're not God lol. They can be beaten and have been. So do something about it Lamar.
And to poke another hole in that argument his season didn't even end against Patrick it ended against Allen. So being stuck in the Patrick era had no real involvement in this loss lol. That's like losing to Evander Holyfield and going "Ahh damn, I'm trapped in the Mike Tyson era"
Aaron Rodgers still gets cooked for only winning 1 Super Bowl, Peyton Manning was getting FRIED on every sports show for not winning in the playoffs. Dan Marino is always getting praise as the best thrower of the football, but what do they always bring up? That he doesn't have a ring. That's sports, it is what it is
Unless they're content to losing a road game in the divisional round , this was a wasted season. People like Shady are not winners, he said Barley should've played for the record. Looks like they're Super Bowl bound.
Funny how people are writing off Lamar. He's still only 28. He's won 2 MVPs and has a very good chance at a 3rd. He arguably had the best overall regular season ever by an NFL QB. The Ravens could have very well pulled that game out in OT had Andrews not dropped that 2 point conversion. That team is loaded and will be in the Championship mix again next year and for years to come. The Peyton Manning comparison is quite accurate. Lamar will have at least one ring before it's said and done, count on it.
@zeusonolympus123 LOL. After seeing your comment, I did a little research. Manning had 5477 passing yards, 55 TDS, 10 ints and a 115 passer rating in 2013. Jackson had 4172 passing yards, 41 TDs, 4 ints and a 119 passer rating in 2024. Manning wins if you count passing only, but you conveniently left out rushing yards. Jackson had 915 rushing yards at a 6.6 YPC rate and 4 TDs as opposed to Manning's -31 rushing yards in 2013. With those facts, I think it's clear that you saying Manning "obliterates" Jackson is highly debatable.

If we're just looking at the regular season, Lamar already has the resume of a top 5 QB of all time. The reason why he's nowhere near top 5 is because he hasn't done anything in the playoffs. James Jones is correct. When you have a great season and don't get to the ultimate goal, your great season was WASTED. Its not dismissed, not considered void, it's simply wasted because theoretically any great season makes the path to a championship easier. Wasted doesn't mean bad.
If this type of talk about lamar keeps happening people are going to start looking these mvps as lamar jackson participation trophies
Its crazy how they flip the script for him
Lamar - wash, rinse, repeat with these conversations but Lamar is the only one to blame for this.
Lamar's window is closing each year bc he's not a pure passer...his speed is gonna decrease as each year passes. Once his legs r gone, his window will officially be closed!!!
😂😂😂😂 he gonna slow down not get slow.
WHY are people only ever posting or saying "4 int" when referring to Lamar yet all of Josh's career it was his total turnovers. For the record Lamar had MORE turnovers than Josh even though Josh threw 2 more INTs. FFS stop omitting facts that you wouldn't do for others.
How were those seasons wasted for Manning? Those seasons were the foundation for his overall resume to get in the hall.
He would have gotten in without a ring, but a ring tops it off. Looking back, his 4 SB appearances helps to elevate him over Rodgers...
Because no one wants to see an all time talent lose in the big moments. Sure, he was still a top 3 QB during that time. But just like Lamar now, any season not in the SB is just a waste if he wants to be in that QB Mount Rushmore.
2 turnovers by Lamar. Its on him. Any turnovers by Josh Allen? No and he won. Lamar can't make those mistakes in those games
People who don't understand football don't understand your point. The Ravens only ran Henry 15 times because they were behind. They were behind because of Lamar's bad play and turnovers. Then they blame a tight end for dropping the last ball but ignore everything Lamar did to put them in that bad situation.

The last play of the game is important but they were in a terrible position all game because of Lamar's bad play. Peyton had to overcome horrendous defenses and score unreasonable amount of points to win in the playoffs and came up short, lamar jackson regresses in the playoffs every year with a roster good enough to win.
And most importantly Peyton performed greatly in certain games during that 3-5 stretch. Lamar doesnt have 1 great playoff game under his belt.

Doesn’t really matter who ever won this game is going up against the Kansas City Refs
Ocho needs to understand there a difference between waste and failure
Oh come on! His season was not a failure. Get over this BS era of great or hate.
Jimmy g once threw 8 passes in a Playoff game.. like come on ravens just run the damn ball lol.
So Chase and Emmanuel careers are failures. I’m crying.😂😂😂So imagine how players feel who never make the playoffs. They should just quit playing with Acho takes when he was trash and got opportunities from his brother.
Shady the biggest hypocrite on TV
Shady disrespected Aaron Rodgers said he not really even a good quarterback cuz he only won one, but he caping hard for Lamar and Josh Allen
