I still can't believe that like 10 singleplayer games are being made but there's no multiplayer game. I know that EA's too dumb to make one but what about other studios? Can't they see that a good star wars multiplayer game with the right live service / battle pass combination would be a literal money printing machine?
Because why make a multiplayer-exclusive game when you can put all that money into a really good single-player campaign?
Though admittedly I could see the appeal of a Star Wars game taking the Borderlands/Gotham Knights Approach where you can play single-player but have the option to play co-op with others.

Multiplayer games and singleplayer games aro no better or worse than the other, it's just that star wars needs them both but it seems like they forgot about multiplayer. And singleplayer games can be absolutely phenomenal but what keeps a gamer community really together are multiplayer games. And multiplayer games are just as good if not better as singleplayer ones, especially when it's star wars. For example Battlefornt 2017 is just the tenth of what it could be but it still holds a huge active player base even though it was cancelled 4 years ago. That's something, right? Now imagine a SW multiplayer game that has all the effort in it and isn't rushed like the battelfront games. I would give up 5 singleplayer games for one really good multiplayer game. Also, the replayability goes for multi games.
Maybe it's the cancelled First Assult STAR WARS
Lucasfilm games should really just create their own in-house development studio focused solely on battlefront or a battlefront type game that would be supported for a long time like Fortnite. Maybe even recruit some of the old DICE Star Wars team. Would love to see Dennis regularly updating us on Star Wars game content again

I don't mind FPS, but being able to "see" the character would be a lot better
I'm looking forward to whatever stories are told after the sequels. Imps v. Rebs is a good plot device, but seeing what comes after the New Republic-Sith Eternal M.A.D.; certainly a good set-up for when BFII and SWTOR get inevitably folded.
I hope it will be a tactical/teamwork type FPS, like Rainbow Six Siege, Team Fortress 2 or Overwatch - a Rainbow Six Siege style Star Wars FPS would be insane. Nevertheless, if it's going to be a single player FPS, then of course this is out of the question.

I think they wont make a new multiplayer game until the new main story movies release. Ofc they want to take the hype from new movies to sell their game and milk that shit and you just cant do that with singleplayer games. Seems like a logical financial decision. Also they probably want people to forget the battlefront launch desasters to maximize pre orders when the new ones arrive. But thats just my guess...
