Hi, yeah i do read all comments :) Thank you very much! I'm glad i've worked on it for as long as i did. And ears certainly work better for judging sound, instead of eyes :P
Magnificent work. Instruments are super-catchy, vocals are phenomenal. That slightly-off harmony at 4:09 is just so well-implemented and gave me chills the first couple times.
Sometimes it's chills, sometimes it's tears of happiness, sometimes it's... such an overwhelming powerful emotion..! Music and Passion hold the greatest of life's powers! At least for me it's true ^^ And that's why I express my gratitude everytime I can! Brohoof and a big thank you to everypony! /)
Wow, this song has been listened to over 100.000 times. Thank you all so much! It's really encouraging and i am really looking forward to putting out new songs :)
@@ConspicousFaux Hi, yeah I'm still enjoying metabolism as we speak. Hope you're not undead either, I do have a track being almost ready sitting on my drive, found a fun way to cut/pitch vocals so it has quite a bit of vocal chops in it. c:
Sadly I don't have enough time to release the instrumental version soon. It is probably going to take 1-2 weeks since I've got more important stuff to do.
I don't know where to start. This is glorious. Name a weak point I have, and odds are this song hits on it with mastery. The opening piano and Chichi's soft vocals are a beautiful combination to ease us into an electronic-focused progression that feels entirely at home. The set up reminds me of some of DKC2's more memorable tracks, which is by no means a bad thing. Synths and instruments working together is rarely a bad thing, and piano being paired off creates one of my personal favorite combinations. The vocal cutting accents the instruments calming back down and lend nicely to an almost dream-like quality the more gentle moments seem to carry, and everything flows on these waves of high and low energy naturally and beautifully. Nothing ever feels stagnant or stands out as obviously reused, which is _very hard to do,_ and the whole thing is superbly produced. The fact so much energy can swell out of a track that maintains such a low BPM is both impressive and refreshing, as well. The main percussion line is interesting without ever being intrusive, and a lot of little touches throughout keep things interesting over several listens as new little details and melody lines come to my attention. A lot of love went into this, and every bit of it paid off. The first thing I heard from you was Canterlot Disco. From then to now, this feels like every strength you've exhibited has come together into one exceptional demonstration of ability. Your work is routinely excellent, your improvement is constant, and I very am very much excited for what may lie ahead. /gushing
My eyes got a little watery here. Yeah thinking back I really added lots of subliminal stuff to it. I had doubts about if it actually paied off, so have an apology here for underestimating you as a listener, sorry. I can't make promises about my future work apart from my plans on working on originality and giving it my best shot :) I'm glad to have you as a listener, thanks.
***** Thank YOU for such an exemplary track. Sam hit the nail on the head, it really is the little things that fills the gap between good and great. A gap that you filled perfectly. Also, remember that even if no one ever hears the small things that makes you tracks great, as a producer, at least you know you made it the very best you could.
Hot dam! Love the feel of this. Its quite creative! Really cool harmonies and chord progression and great arrangement that goes many places. Super chill... ChiChi's voice is brilliant as always too.
I barely listen to any pony music, but once in a while Chichi will grab me by the ear and say "Hey man, you gotta listen to all of this one." Good job.
Just wanted to finally come here and say how much I love the way this track turned out. Volume always goes up when I listen to it. Everything is so well integrated. It's punchy yet smooth. I love the breakdown on the bridge, and the exit from the bridge is..... I don't even know how to describe it, but perfect. Your clean samples and EQ of everything makes it exciting yet not grating or harsh, which means it's easy to keep the volume pumped up. I'll often listen to this on repeat several times. &i, this is an amazing track. Chichi, your voice really pulls this whole thing together beautifully. Thanks to the both of you.
I tried my best to mix everything in rather softly so you can turn up the volume without any harsh stuff slamming your ears, so I as well used the volume slider quite alot :) Well the whole song took an exceptional long time to make including the recorded stuff, manual vocal chopping, vocal gain automations i worked hard on transitions to make them suit the smooth character of the tune. (Oh yeah and i also partly artificially harmonized the vocals) For the break transition into the next chorus i've started hearing/imagining some high note in there which sounded really nice and increased the tension so i've added a synth trill putting more emphasis on it. A friend of mine asked me for material for mixing practise and i sent him this song, he mentioned that the recording studio where he was for an internship usually don't go that high in numbers with their Audio channels. It's harder to mix more stuff together so needlessly to say my mixing isn't perfect in this track, in hindsight there are things i would definitely change. I've also received criticism from a mixing engineer who i happened to visit one time. (mostly concering the vocal mixing, he liked the track though) I don't really remember how the collab with chichi came together but it would be really hard to find a singer who's natural voice equally suits this song as much as hers, our styles really complemented one another. Actually i wanted to go full on orchestral at the start which reminds me that JayB once sent me a draft of an orchestral remix of the track which i really hoped he would have continued working on. I feel like reworking the song everytime i listen to it. Should i ask him for permission to upload it somewhere? I am really happy to hear you're liking the song for all it was meant to be and I am sorry for taking the liberty to wait a good amount of time before replying to your comment, detailed comments are the most interesting to read so i wanted to give a proper reply as well.
Yes, I always notice when someone puts some work into reducing those harsh tones. Much appreciated. Yeah, I did an internship at a recording studio as well. Great experience, with SO much to learn. Ended up not going so much toward recording, more toward live sound. Got a mad passion for doing what I can to make live audio sound good. Been to too many shows where it wasn't good. One of the things that blows my mind is how some live sound engineers will sit without any hearing protection in their own super-harsh mix that makes me visibly cringe and plug my ears or leave. Probably already lost a lot of their hearing. It's because of bad mixes, though, then I'm inspired to do better and serve quality enjoyable music to the audience. No to mention I like to throw in the inconspicuous brony song on occasion if I'm DJing. Yeah, as awesome as so many vocalists are out there, I feel Chichi was the right fit. Who knows, though, some of them can pull some surprises when you least expect. Yeah, I'd read that you were originally thinking more orchestral. Personally, I'd love to hear. Love a lotta JayB's stuff, too - I'll listen to Rain once a week or so. Giggly Maria puts so much into that, and I love how the vocals go from dark and monophonic to the sudden burst of harmony at the "I'm waiting for the rain..." line. Very catchy, detailed, well mixed. lol, I should have left this in a comment on that song. =P And hey, no sweat. I took almost 2 years before I said anything, and I remember being excited when ya released it.
Great song!! I'm especially a fan of this one because of the "ode to Nature" vibe I get from it... Fluttershy's spirituality and the appreciation of Nature feel so special to me and even more when those moments are triggered by musical and atmospheric masterpieces like this track. Thank you so much for making it! It is beyond beautiful :)
+StarShadow Umbreon glad to hear you like it :) I personally love the sound of leaves rustling in the wind. One day i will make a track dedicated to that.
i usually don´t comment anything on UA-cam, but right now i kinda feel like it. On August 2014 i downloaded this song and since then downloaded more than a thousand other songs. But im pretty sure, if there was any kind of list for how often i listened to songs in my life, this one would be in first place. Unlike other songs, i can listen to Into the Green several hours on repeat and it doesn´t annoy or bore me, its just there in the background and puts me in some kind of trance. Its so chill and calming, i always put it on to come down or do stuff like Origami. Chichis vocals and your instrumental go so smooth together. Its kinda a pity that the song doesnt get more attention. Big up to you two :)
I wonder why I didn't subscribe sooner. This song is wonderful. Your instrumental is flawless. Chi Chi voice is angelic, and the "home that's ever free" at 4:12 could make me melt.
If I get into a very deep, thoughtful state or just listen carefully, Chichi's voice will sound a little like Fluttershy is actually singing this song to me, I don't know if that goes for anyone else, but it does for me. It's beautiful, instrumentals and singing. :)

+Syrup Waffle Yeah I agree, working on this project also differed slightly from what i usually do. At one point i just asked Chichi which instruments she'd like to hear in the song, hence the didgeridoo in the intro. On top of that i was really motivated to record all kinds of stuff when a friend of mine lent me her microphone and i threw everything together :D
I love this song. The awesome EDM sounds mixed with the great vocals, the cool piano base, the strings and percussion, and that little ocarina ditty in there, it's just purely good. Then you add the fact that it's a completely original song composed by one guy, and there's something to be said for it. Good work, dude. I'm going through and listening to all your songs, and I couldn't help but re-listen to this one and make sure I gave my opinion on it.
I just recently thought about working on an album, before that however I've still got stuff to work on. Another thing is that an album needs special treatment and planning. BUT it will happen eventually ;)
You've outdone yourself :) Easily one of the best pieces in the fandom, and I think it ranks pretty high outside as well! The chopped vocals and the percussion just make the entire thing gel. Loving this song and after finding that you also helped produced Until the Sun you have yourself a new sub. Everything in this song fits very well and nothing feels out of place. The chopped vocals are soft while the ambient track in the back is relaxing yet catchy.
I don't know if the author will read this comment, but even after 7 years, it sounds excellent. Although you can't tell from the views.

Loving this song and after finding that you also helped produced Until the Sun you have yourself a new sub.
Everything in this song fits very well and nothing feels out of place. The chopped vocals are soft while the ambient track in the back is relaxing yet catchy.

As of this comment, this tune is exactly 3 years old, and it's still a pretty cool one.
