Loved Henry! He was such a doting father and grandfather, and his relationship with Vanessa was one of the best. Him and HB as best buds, and Alex as another true friend - those were lovely scenes. I miss him!
Henry's relationship with Vanessa was wonderful, but I really liked his relationship with Jenna. It was wonderful to see him care for her like a daughter and to see her really grow into a loving, good person.

Yes, and he was so grateful when Alexandra Spaulding #1 then played by Beverly McKinsey gave him his Fortune back. He was also very patient when Alan Michael Spaulding #2 then played by Rick Hearst wanted The Presidency of Spaulding and he was refused. He also in his own way contributed to the Chick Lit Movement when he played an Executive in The Best Of Everything based on the Bestselling Novel by Rona Jaffe that many folks felt was one of the many inspirations for Mad Men.
I loved Henry and Vanessa’s relationship but adored his relationship/friendship with Alexandra. Beverlee McKinsey and William Roerick were dynamic together. In fact, Henry was awesome with everyone!!!
Damn I miss Guiding Light. My grandmother and I watched it forever. She listened from its radio inception. After it was cancelled I literally stopped watching TV. Cancelled satellite. Why bother? Thank you for your channel and these marvelous trips thru beloved Guiding Light.
OH! you should have included clips with Wendi as Dinah (she will always be the best Dinah) when Dinah was scheming to get her inheritance from Henry and Henry called her out on it...he told he had been down this road before with Vanessa. Dinah loved her grand-dad.
My favorite line of all time and I will never forget it because I LMAO was when little Billy stole the Bentley and Henry said "Oh not the Bentley" the way William delivered it was priceless!!
What I loved about Henry & Vanessa's Relationship was that although she loved her "Daddy" she wasn't a "Daddy's Girl" she was independent and assertive and soldiered on even when Billy went to Prison. Henry in his own way sympathized with Jenna because he like she was screwed over big time bad by Roger Thorpe, and knew that deep down Jenna was just a very lonely frightened Young Woman who thought it was better to be a "Fake" somebody than a "Real" nobody.
I also realized The Fishing Storyline was similar to The Miniseries from NBC in the 1980's called "Celebrity" where Three Friends cover the death of a Young Girl who was raped by one of them. 25 Years later they are bought together as a form of an atonement, one dies and the truth comes out in a shocking trial.
Roxie is a character I do not have much of her key storyline scenes. If you or you know someone who has key Roxie scenes from 1984-1988 I would consider doing one on her. Private message me if you know who I can contact. Thank you :)
To this day, it’s painful to watch Vanessa read Henry’s final letter to her. Simply heartbreaking. 😢
Henry was awesome and I loved when they brought him forward with Jenna's storyline too. He and HB were a huge loss to our GL family.
Henry in a word? Gentleman. I loved him and the actor. I missed him and H.B. so much after they passed on.
