Same here. I got bought a PSP when it launched and it included demo disks for the movie player. This video was on that disk and I must have watched it 1000 times. I keep hoping they add it to Google Play Music but so far it's not happening.
The Rakes ,I swear, were THE ONLY credible band from its era. You kinda knew the rest were just passing by...you knew that even The Libertines were a supernova but I was genuinely gutted when these guys split. They were just intelligent rock n roll. The lyrics are superbly written in most of the songs
Paying atention to the lyrics, it was clear that he would eventually drop the whole "indie star" thing and the life of a musician being in a band to go back to a "regular life". He was all too human after all, indeed
Such a great and terribly underrated song
This isn't even on Spotify! So underrated.
I've just found this out 👍
I used to be obsessed with this song back at the time. So criminally underated. And man, the vocals! cant belive it has only 121 thumbs up

Debut Rakes album still stands up today! Much more than a lot of their contemporaries at the time
I just recently discovered this band. What did happen with this band? So underrated.

So sad that I can't find this song on iTunes! Their loss! Fantastic song by a fantastic band.
The Rakes :(
I found my vinyl of this song the other day. I still love it.
Arguably the best band of recent times. And I'd say this is possibly the best song, but Suspicious Eyes is also pretty damn good.
I've liked this ever since I saw the "making of" , I really like their sound.
This is a great great GREAAAT band.

It's a travesty this isn't on Spotify...
Anomie, urban paranoia and the grind of daily work. It's all here and it's something we can all relate to.

You know, he resembles David Tennant in some way his facial bone structure, at first glance. I still like the song.
