Beautiful, and dripping with history. I must confess, though, that the River Shannon caught my eye almost as much as the monastic ruins. I felt a sudden urge to want to kayak the Shannon.
We were there in 2019. A very peaceful place. We were told that if a young red headed girl went around that chunk of fallen building (oh why can’t I recall what it was??) 7 times she’d be married within a year. Well my red head did that….she’s still single! Maybe we did something wrong?? Haha. Mary. p.s. I’m glad comments are turned on!
