Good game Owen! Good luck on your rocket, Claire. With the tree that close to the road it is still your responsibility? But, wait I have to remember that you live in a place that is a lot larger than 4200 population where I live. We had a big tree similar like that and the City came and took it down themselves. They made a big mess and you can bet I made sure that the yard was back to the way it was when they started. My 72 year old father was not going to take care of it. He was just glad thankful we did not have to do it which I was also. I just wanted our yard back to looking good like before. Which I am sure you would be the same also. Have a great day! 🥰

It is crazy that the town makes you take the tree down. Not here! Trees grow like crazy here and we have to guess where the stop signs are! And our town rarely trims them back!
That tree was on strip of plot I thought that the city owns. Property owners maintain it but I thought that the strip between sidewalk and the street is owned by the city. Why were you responsible for removing that tre blocking a city stop sign? That annoyed me. Great job on your busy day.
I know that’s how it works in Indiana…the city or county owns so many feet from the road and if there are trees it’s the city/county’s responsibility to trim or cut down those trees. Even if I had a tree that is planted on my property but the limbs hang over the road the county has to trim the limbs back. This makes me think it doesn’t work this way in Utah.
In our area in Calif that would be considered city property. If we cut or trimmed we would be fined! Who planted those trees?
