bro made it through the whole series! THANK YOU SO MUCH MAN, THIS WAS CRAZY!!! after your course i feel like i kinda know what im doing more. before i was scrambling like a headless chicken. keep up the good work bro
"Scrambling like a headless chicken" - now there's a good song idea! Props on going making it through the series! Your comment makes me think I should go back and start from the beginning. (This is the first I stumbled upon)
After searching for around two weeks worth of tutorials, this one has by far been the most useful, most artists will make a online course that you have to pay for, but this has been incredible for doing the same thing for free, and I can't thank you enough for the lessons, Taetro!! Incredible work. :D
Was feeling so lost and despondent that I'd never be able to get my head around Ableton. Started this series a few weeks ago, completed it today and feel like I've learned a whole new language! Lost track of how many times I high fived the dog every time I got something right. The final episode, bringing everything together, the arrangement workflow and 1 minute of semi-cogent music was beyond thrilling! Eternal gratitude Taetro, for your patience, generous and beautifully produced content. You do make the world a better place x
Jodi! thank you thank you so much!! I'm so glad you've enjoyed the entire series and it has helped you making music. Your kind words and support really mean a lot. Just to make sure you've seen it, I recently added an additional chapter to this series with some basic mixing tips, and I also usually suggest people who have completed learning the foundations to start really observing long form process videos to see the nuances of how artists work beyond the basics. My livestreams are best for that but other creators also share their process in different ways.
I finished the series. And i'm actually fully blown away by what i've learned from all that. A week ago i opened ableton for the first time and i just didn't know what i was seeing, as if i'll never get to learn this because everything was too complicated. Now i feel like thanos! It's all clear now and i properly know how to navigate around ableton. Thank you so much for this awesome work, taetro! Can't wait till you make more like these.
I wanted to say thank you at the end. I am from germany and just started making music a year ago. Now i am able to make my own music in abelton. Not like big players in the musician scene but i did my first steps with you. Again thx a lot!!!
I love you, man. there are these times when you're stuck and run in circles for too long. Then some video or sentence comes along and brings the epiphany. thank you!
Really clear and straightforward explanations. I learned from scratch with you and at this point I feel much more confident with Ableton. Thank you Taetro, great job!
I've recently started making lofi tracks on a mini midi keyboard, and your name came up EVERYwhere online when I was searching on how to get started... after watching this series I can see why. You are such a brilliant teacher. Your tutorials are simple to follow and so informative. You get into some complex stuff without it being daunting at all. I have loved listening to your released music on Spotify. You are a really talented musician and I thank you so much for sharing your passion and knowledge with all of us FOR FREE! Legend!
I just finished the series. God Bless you. I am a Ugandan artist who has been making music in FL and Logic and wanted to try out Ableton and you made it a fun experience. I wish I could collaborate on a track with you. Stay blessed🙏🏼
I'm about to buy an Arturia minilab and this series has saved me a lot of time trying to figure out Ableton live by myself. Thank you so much for helping out us beginners.
Watched the next lesson and almost forgot to leave a comment and a like! Thank you Taetro for bringing us this awesome first splash into the world of Ableton live. It really is exciting and you provide such a simple and clear introduction! Will forever be grateful!
this series did exactly as it promised . got me started on music production now I can take it from here and expand on how complicated things I can do the most difficult thing for me was to get started and now thanks to your videos I'm finally able to move on to the next steps thank you so much
This was an AWESOME intro to Ableton! Learned a ton from these videos. I can only imagine how much more there is to learn, but these videos provided a really good foundation. Great job on these!!
Hi Taetro! I've seen all the videos in the playlist and I just want to say thank you so so much for your work! Even though I already knew a little about Live, I wanted to get a little more serious and these series are great for that. I love your style, the way you teach, the progression of the course, and all the little tips and explanations you deliver. They make you feel like you are REALLy learning the software. Now I will go for the music theory one. Keep up the good work, and thanks again! 😃💖
Very well done tutorial Taetro! You explained everything really well for a complete beginner and gave me a good understanding of where to start. Thanks very much, you've gained a new fan
Dude, you’re a good & thorough teacher… great course… I’ve got the gear… just bought a MacBookPro , a Roland 44 interface & it came with Ableton Lite… im yet to set it all up due to my living circumstances atm, but, after watching 6 (I think) episodes of your course, I feel ready to hit it… & I’ll be watching them all again & again I’m sure… thanks! I also joined DistroKid, after not having digital sales options… EVER 😂🎉 Good Onya Mate 🇦🇺🦑🎶🇦🇺
thanks a lot taetro, i've followed the whole series from France, and it helped me a lot ! Very clear, and basics but necessary stuff. I was on Fl before, but I want to make live, so I just switched 2 weeks ago!
thank you so much master!!! I've been following all of your 10 step by step Ableton lesson... and it's just completely awesome! I'm a new big fans of yours!
Thanks so much for making this series! Even though I've played in Ableton for awhile, this gave me the foundation I've always wanted. And this last video in particular really helped me because arranging has always been difficult for me. Too often I will overcomplicate things in the idea creation phase and then be muddled by the time it comes to build the song out. This also validated some things I found myself intuitively doing which is a good feeling. So thank you, thank you, thank you! As someone who shoots and edits videos as well, I know it is no small task to do all these things at once. As always you've knocked it out of the park!
Dear Taetro, thank you for having taken the time to do this series.Of course I just started with abelton after years of digital performer and your teaching has been CRUCIAL. Thanks forever!!!
hey man! just grinded out this whole series in four days starting from nothing with little to no music theory knowledge. Even so, I was able to create a track that im actually quite proud of at this point in my progression, so I thank you!!
Thanks! I have really enjoyed both this beginners series, and the Music Theory tutorials. I have learnt so much from the series and your tutorial style is just about perfect. Well explained and very thorough. I would love a similar series on using Push 2.
Thank you Taetro! I watched your entire series and you have helped me so much throughout the process of producing! I love your videos so much and would recommend your channel to anyone. Your explanations are extremely clear and whenever I have a question directed toward a certain process you always clear it up for me! I appreciate you dude, awesome asf!
This is exactly what I asked you about during the last Q&A and now its here :O I absolutely love what you are doing and feel really motivated eventho im just getting started with music production. Big thanks from the bottom of my heart TAETRO!
TAETRO, thank you for your advice, your guidance, and your wisdom. Since Maxi Jazz from Faithless died, I've been thinking about what a gift to the world dance music has been. As a long time musician, I'm getting into creating my own music using a DAW and now a MIDI keyboard. You've been helping me. It would be great to write and produce a song that packs the club dance floors like Insomnia did. Keep up the great work, Brother.
Thank you so much for this series!🙌🏼 So grateful! Could I request a video on recording guitar, finding the right tempo, quantising etc please?? Really struggling with that 😩
Just finished the series, and I love it! The way you instruct and explain was refreshing, like @TheLionsDen said, we are now chickens with heads reattached!
Yo Taetro, your videos are amazing. I just joined the producer/beatmaking community after only playing guitar my whole life and you made it possibly to jump right into making the stuff I imagined in my head within days of learning with your Videos. You're doing an amazing work. Very glad i stumbled upon this tutorial series. Def gonna recommend it to any friends thinking about joing this stuff aswell.
A great series, I've learnt so much! And it's nice to know it's always here for when I forget something!. I have found to that hitting the save button from time to time to be helpful! Loved your end track... It reminds of Minecraft!
Thank you for the whole series! I'm pretty sure I can start to make some music, even on Ableton lite, but for learning purposes it's enough. You've made a pretty good job here! 👍👌
my livestreams are the closest to getting into more detail. Each track has so much nuance and the process isn’t always uniform so it’s difficult to put that stage into a single chapter
Hey man this was actually an amazing series, I'm coming from studio one and am semi new to making electronic music. You have a very helpful way of teaching, and really inspired me to stick with the hobby of making music. Some suggestions for a video would be explaining how to use Ableton's stock synths in detail or Serum since that one is very popular. Cheers dude. love your channel.
I feel like you were so through in the early parts that you missed teaching arrangement view in that same manner. I'm watching but so much of it is about editing the sounds and fine tuning that I still feel as though I don't know how to use arrangement. Could you offer more on this specifically? I want to just start in arrangement and work - is that even a thing?
If you can at least finish a totally sucky song, mastered and uploaded you can start over and over time your songs will improve..but then you go back and listen to that first one and think.. that's pretty great actually!
I am new to this and I would like to get myself a midi controller. I am stuck between 3 I am interested in. AKAI APC Key 25 MK2, Novation Launchkey Mini MK3 , and Novation launchpad x, which offers the most bang for the buck? I am more between the launchkey and akai APC. Can anyone help me with this?
I think the best thing immediately would be to watch my streams live, or watch my previous streams. you can get a lot out of raw uncut process, but now that you know the basics, you have a foundation to work from

These 10 videos are the best beginner tutorial I've tried. Your teaching style, calmness and knowledge totally shine. Thank you for making these.
