when your hair gets “crunchy” it means that the gel has formed a cast around your hair!! It is not a bad thing, it means that your gel is working. All you need to do is scrunch your hair to remove the gel!!!
@@dev-olo One time I was in a rush to get my hair to air dry, so I separated the clumps while they were wet to get them to dry faster. They didn't end up drying any faster and my hair was just frizzy and bad after it dried.
To the first girl, as a professional stylist, tip: start applying that conditioner to your ends first. To not waste product and to make sure you get those ends fully hydrated. Run what's leftover from the ends up to the scalp. 🥂
I suggest swapping out Devacurl for literally anything else. They’re currently being sued because their products were discovered for have relaxers on it which not only makes curls/coils loosen and fall over time, but makes the hair damaged which leads to breakage and hair loss.
Not necessarily. Obviously it hasn't been causing issues for literally everyone who uses it, so as long as it's still working for her, she should be alright. I'm still using their conditioner (at least until I run out, at which point, I'll find a dupe), & it's been working fine for me, but I am stopping using the ultra defining gel & the deep conditioner as they've both been giving me headaches, & the gel made my hair feel like I'd sprayed it with rubbing alcohol. Like I said, I'm gonna' be phasing out Devacurl completely until we know what's going on with them, but if the products are still working just fine for some people, they should be fine.
@@kajarudnicka3518 I've heard that too but its probably from silicone product build up. Silicones are non-water soluble coatings that get put on your hair to fake it being healthy but blocks actual moisture from getting into your hair (aka they're horrible for curls because curls need MOISTURE), it can ONLY be removed using sulfates which are SUUUUPER drying cleaning chemicals in soaps, maui is silicone, sulfate, and paraben free so when you FIRST switch you either have to drop all silicones and use a clarifying sulfate shampoo or use a clarifying sulfate shampoo REGULARLY. I'm guessing a few people dont know that and its giving them an itchy scalp from silicone buildup
I too have hair like Carolina. Use more protein and moisture products like Not Your Mother's curl talk defining cream and gel. Your hair is frizzy because it's dry and not moisturized enough. If you try those products, they will change your life. Also, they are super affordable, and they really work.
Hey! Sorry to write this whole thing but, I'm really eager to help you! I recommend deep conditioning for 20-30 minutes a week, for about about a month, if your hair is just that frizzy and dry. After that maybe just 10-15 minutes a week. You should also use a satin pillowcase, bonnet or scarf to bed. I would personally recommend a satin pillowcase for wavy/curly hair (but everyone is different) Instead of using regular hair ties invest into satin scrunchies. Other hair ties you can use are snappees and invisibobbles. You should be making sure to use a moisturizing leave-in conditioner. Try the LOC and LCO method to see which one works for you. If neither works come up with your own regimen. If you want me to recommend any products for you, let me know. I'd be more than happy to.
My hair used to be like that too!! I started trying different products to see which work best with my hair. I highly suggest using products with no sulfates or parabens (ex silicone, domethicone etc). I use mousse and gel from herbal essences as well as creams from not your mothers curl talk and ogx Argan oil of Morocco curl defining cream AND their shampoo and conditioner ( I hope this helps!!)

I have wavy hair and I would like to start taking care of my hair but I just can’t wash my hair once a week. It starts to look greasy after two days 😖 my hair is super dry too
I went from washing my hair every day to washing it every three days, and it definitely helped that I cut down on styling products and used a leave-in conditioner. Now, it goes about three days before there's too much scalp build-up and my hair gets too dry, but I'm going to try and add a co-wash to extend time between shampoos.
I'm definitely trying to extend the time I go between each wash, now more than ever since we're quarantined & nobody can see my bad hair 😂 Gonna be cutting back on my towel use too, I wrap my hair with a microfiber wrap but ig I'll go back to airdrying

Megan’s hair looks amazing, I literally prefer this hair style than her long hair, this looks so cute on her, even tho her hair is beautiful long or short 😊❤️
My hair is suuuper fine and straight, never holds a curl, and no freaking volume! It’s basically the exact opposite of these girls’ hair but I like learning about other people’s hair routines lol
garnier has silicones in it which can dry out your hair!!!! I have thick wavy hair and I recommend using something decently moisturizing for shampoo/conditioner but then a good styling cream and gel when ur hair is really wet
I’m Hispanic and I have naturally thick brittle 3B/3C hair. While growing up I was always misguided on what to use for my hair. I tried almost every product and all the hair products I used were getting stuck in my hair. It weighed my hair down and it looked like I had a lot of dandruff/ lice on my roots. The built up upset me so much. My hair being unmanageable forced me to get hair relaxer/ straight perm. It made my hair into a 2B/2C. I regret it because now my hair gets super frizzy. I realized it wasn’t the curls that were the problem. Maybe the hair texture and how thick my hair is, was the problem. But I know for sure that the products I used were the problem. I always looked it up on google growing up and not good results. I even went to an African American salon and they were rude like if I didn’t have the same textured curly hair as them just because I am Hispanic. Anyone can be born with curly hair. Finally there’s a new method out there for curly girls. March 2020 I started using “Shea Moisture” and it worked for my hair. People have recommended it to me before, but I always turned it down because of the numerous off brands of it I tried (the off brands didn’t work) The only thing is I’m still getting frizz and I think it’s from the hair relaxer/ straight perm I got in the end 2018. I’m waiting for my relaxed/ permed hair to grow out so I can finally cut it all off. I miss my old curls now that I have found a solution to my unmanageable hair. If you read this far thank you for taking your time to hear my curly girl story. ❤️💜❤️💜
I’m a teenager with wavy/curly hair and i’ve never actually done much with my hair and it always looks awful i still have no idea what to do, i was never taught how to take care of them and i’m very overwhelmed with the amount of effort and products i see everyone use
hey! as a curly girl that is almost 4 years natural I really want to tell you dont be overwhelmed first my suggestion is start with what you have at home and try to make the most out of it. first shampoo and condition your hair and then try the squish to cornish method reapply conditioner (in section so you won't miss hair) and leave the conditioner in when you style then try ploping it into a shirt and when you feel like it (after an hour or two - when you are out of the shower of course take it out) let me know how it goes I would love to help and if you have more questions comment back and I'll answer you.

LOOK AT MEGANS HAIR GROWING ITS SO BEAUTIFUL
They all have beautiful hair
Love the last girls hair mine is literally the same kind of wave and it makes me happy to see a routine like this
My hair actually gets more frizzy when I let it air dry :(
Are you touching it or moving it around to much by any chance? There's no way if done correcty that ur hair ends up more frizzy. At least for curly hairtypes
@@misterae6430 nope, I'm doing the exact same hair styling routine as if would diffuse it afterwards. So I'm actually touching it less.
I get a really flat and kinda triangle look with a lot of frizz around the top of my head
@@Ottselott You should try rinsing out your hair upside down. So don't let the water hit the top of your head near the end. I think this simple technique will do miracles for you. Give me an update if you can
Same
@@misterae6430 I already do this, doesn't make a difference. Maybe I'm using the wrong products bc I don't really know whether I'm curly or wavy
Yesss short hair routines!! Also happy to see Megan doing well 🙂
me: shows this to my mom
my white mom: “you don’t need all of that stuff”
me with my extremely tangled kinky hair, who doesn’t even have a lot of things: 👁👄👁
canxryy maybe a 3c or 4a, but it’s really damaged
canxryy thank you
I'm so happy Megan's hair is growing back . It's so beautiful
I have wavy hair and I would like to start taking care of my hair but I just can’t wash my hair once a week. It starts to look greasy after two days 😖 my hair is super dry too
mitsukibubba once you try to wash your hair less as often the less greasy it will get!
I'm definitely trying to extend the time I go between each wash, now more than ever since we're quarantined & nobody can see my bad hair 😂 Gonna be cutting back on my towel use too, I wrap my hair with a microfiber wrap but ig I'll go back to airdrying
mitsukibubba felt that! Best time to work on our hair and avoid people seeing the “bad” process of it improving😂 I’m also trying to do that! Good luck hope it works out and improves😌
dxdx lx thank you! my hair is sooo bad I will definitely try to stay focused on this very very long hair journey 😫
Megan’s hair looks amazing, I literally prefer this hair style than her long hair, this looks so cute on her, even tho her hair is beautiful long or short 😊❤️
is anyone else bothered by the fact that the last girl blow dries her bangs straight
Megan got her amazing hair again 😍❤️ so happy for you
My hair is 100% a 1A, like the straightest thing ever. Why am I watching this?
How can you figure out what kind of hair you have?
Nicole Bremner for me, I have absolutely no curls, no waves AT ALL, so it is easy to judge. My hair doesn’t even hold the curl created by applying heat
Nicole Bremner plus, in contrast to the girls in the video, I use a very little amount of conditioner
Hillyaclistic
Are you Asian or Native American?
My hair is suuuper fine and straight, never holds a curl, and no freaking volume! It’s basically the exact opposite of these girls’ hair but I like learning about other people’s hair routines lol
Megan’s hair is so cute!!
My Curls are between the first too - but straight waist length xD
garnier has silicones in it which can dry out your hair!!!! I have thick wavy hair and I recommend using something decently moisturizing for shampoo/conditioner but then a good styling cream and gel when ur hair is really wet
The last girls hair is too cute
I'm so happy that megan has found her curls again. I think she should consider a bowl cut. It'll look so good with her face and curl type
When ur hair is so indecisive u don't know if it's straight, gay, bisexual, curly, wavy at this point I give up in trying to figure it out
YeEt UwU Lol that’s a black girls hair in a nutshell but you gotta love it 🥰💞
@@venus3200 yes UwU💞
Can we get some 4c plz
not gonna lie i thought megan said HI IM NAKED at the very beginning
Can’t unhear now lol
I LOVE Maui hair care products! They really nourish my curls!
How many of y’all thought she wouldn’t be using devacurl and was so disappointed when you saw 😭
That haircut looks amazing on Megan ❤️✨
Is it too difficult to close the faucet when you’re not using water?
I’m a teenager with wavy/curly hair and i’ve never actually done much with my hair and it always looks awful
i still have no idea what to do, i was never taught how to take care of them and i’m very overwhelmed with the amount of effort and products i see everyone use
hey!
as a curly girl that is almost 4 years natural I really want to tell you dont be overwhelmed first my suggestion is start with what you have at home and try to make the most out of it. first shampoo and condition your hair and then try the squish to cornish method reapply conditioner (in section so you won't miss hair) and leave the conditioner in when you style then try ploping it into a shirt and when you feel like it (after an hour or two - when you are out of the shower of course take it out)
let me know how it goes I would love to help and if you have more questions comment back and I'll answer you.
0:50 girl I thought you said shrimp and anti wrinkage shampoo!
I mean I do like shrimp😂
@@Viv_Nwe oh my gosh ! Haha! You are gorgeous! I had no idea you would see this!
You are in the video aren't you? Lol

Meagan's makeup is beautiful 😍 she seems like a lovely lady 💜
Who’s watching this with curly hair.
I have never seen someone with the exact same hair type as me and when I saw Carolina it made me so happy
I HAVE 5 DIFFERENT HAIR TYPES ON MY HEAD H E L P
I'm so happy That megan got better and her hair growed again 💜💜
I would like to see straight hair routines too...
most hair routines/products are for straight hair lol
