Why are we wasting funds to run Miss Assyria when those funds should going to make and run Assyrian schools?... most Assyrians are illiterate and need to learn to read+write Aramaic, their native language, Chaldo-Assyrians are using more Arabic than Aramaic when they should be reading and writing Aramaic.

No one is perfect ....we all have mistakes if White, Black,Christians,Jews,Muslims, Man or Women on the end we are all the same "HUMANS"... God's children!! Let's not forget these girls are not professionals but they tryed their best so stop trashing them down. Most of the girls did it for fun, to unite with other Assyrians and to motivate others to get more involved in the Assyrian community. This is just one of the projects to gather the Assyrian- America youth together. YES, it did bother me a lot that the girls didn't speak any Assyrian cause the Title was Miss ASSYRIA and not Miss English!! But that still dosn't give Me or YOU the right to talk negative about these girls or our Assyrian people!! Hopefully for the next time the people behind the Miss Assyria event will correct the errors and change some things around. By the way, I know 2 of these girls personally they do speak fluently Assyrian,honor and respect their "our" cloture and live an Assyrian live they study they are educated and come from good respected families. JUST like all the other natiobs there are good ones and not so good ones so STOP hating on us Assyrians!!! I guess, many of you didn't get the whole real point of miss ASSYRIA and that shows me how........ some of you are. Help instead damaging, love instead of hate, understand instead of misunderstanding!! Thanks to all the girls from Miss Assyria, to the judges, our Assyrian singer Ramsen, the make up artist, the great Assyrian tradition dancer Khoshaba, costum designers, the production of Miss Assyria and all others that helped to make this event happened. If you want to deliver a message to the world that we exist, do it right. Because that money would've spent more wisely!
