The hate that Riyan Parag gets is unreal. Think about the youngsters who have succeeded at his age v. those who struggle - Shaw, DDP, Gill etc., - almost all top order. He's been asked to do a very difficult role and be consistent at it. Samad, another youngster playing this role, no longer plays in SRH's strongest XI. Fwiw, incredible talent and one of the best pace hitters of his age group no doubts. And I don't hold it against him that he has a personality.
Thing is everyone is selected for a particular position It's irrelevant to say opener's job is easy and finisher's role is difficult Everyone has different roles and if you're selected for a particular role, you can't simply underperform just because your role was difficult (that too, for 3 seasons in a tournament like ipl)
