Big cupolas can be an issue but I’ve used the AMX30B with a full scout loadout and my cupola has spotted countless poor bastards by just peaking my cupola over the edge of a ridge. It works beautifully in certain instances but in close combat it’s a major weakness
It negates the usefulness of any hulldown play on tanks that otherwise have to rely on armour. If you tank has no armour to begin with than yeah i can see how having a cupola doesn´t really make it worse.
Bought this tank in 2017, then shortly after that left the game for four years so had barely played it - and of course, when I came back, it was way outclassed, felt like playing at least a tier lower. With the buff, it's not like that anymore, one can enjoy the game in it. It will always be one of the tanks I bought unnecessarily, but at least I can give it the occasional spin and not suffer too badly.
To be honest the crazy large cupola should give a benefit in some way to counter how weak it makes the tank overall, like an extra 10m or even 20m view range enhancement. Like if its currently 390m it should be 410.
I wish they would make a premium tank that more closely resembels m48 patton. Similar cupola and 105mm gun 320 alpha. Apcr standard ammo heat 270mm pen for gold. Not crazy armor but some in turret and 50km/h top speed and bit engine power to get there. All i would say is shut up and take my money.

Can you please make one of Räumpanzer also? Has now one of the highest requirements for panzerass on Tier 8 (higher than bz176, bourasque and so on). So it look pretty decent now.
I do not think this tank can get buffed any more. It got near perfect gunhandling now, decent accuracy and alpha, good dpm and top of its tier viewrange. You just gotta accept this tank has a big cupola. A big cupola is still harder to hit from a distance than a big unarmored turret. Just keep away from any brawl distance till later in the game and i think this tank will be pretty decent. Kind of like how you play with a Pilot or Centurion 1 but with better alpha and gunhandling at the cost of other stats.
This tank is best in category: how all premium tanks should be balanced... most premiums are too Op and better than tech tree counterparts which is crazy. Premiums should be worse than tech tree tanks...
with the 90mms having more damage than 100mm guns makes those guns obsolete not to mention nemesis' or concept no5 110mm gun that does more than 122mm or 105mm doing 420 and etc. with the current state of the game in terms of somewhat realistically-inspired tank design this has to change, that is ridiculous this needs complete rework and i hope they will make it if french and polish 100mm can have 300dmg so do soviet and chinese should we need to accept that some tanks design are just bad and buffing the shit out of them does not mean they will be better designed tldr: pershing and etc. 280dmg 90mm gun v type59/ t44 250dmg 100mm gun, why on the earth higher caliber gun should be penalized for just not being american crap

No 10:42 HELL NO. I only have mine because it was gifted to me back in 2015. I played 10 games; 2,300 combined and Aced it and havent touched it since. Its been buffed 4 times now; 2016, 2017, 2021, and now 2024
On Matters how good this tank was and how bad it is now... look at MOE requirements and have your jaws drop: with buff the MOE got up about 25% from something bad to something decent to good. Ok, (as of today sep23rd 2024) we can see MOE drop now again as all tryhards now got their 3MOE or even 100% - or is it just a dent... time will show.
What is the word to describe this? Garbage. It's still hot garbage. Not sure what they were thinking. They could at least put the A5 turret on it, but the gun is still awful and it is 90mm so who even cares with that? The devs can be so frustrating. They actually got paid to do this.

I've just noticed, there is a turret under that turret!
I use to use that tall cupola to peek over hills like a periscope. It work well.
I got myself Raumpanzer and I'm enjoying it a lot. The shovel stops a lot of golden HEAT. Feels like playing on a harder mode. I love it!
If only not for this cupola..

Tanks with cupolas should have the best view range. The bigger the cupola, the bigger the view range.
I had a look at a real patton and the capola is about 3 times bigger in hight on wot tank ,than the real tank.
