- The #4 Seminoles continued their dominant run in 2023 as they defeated the #16 Blue Devils, 38-20. Florida State has their first 7-0 start to the season since 2014. Quarterback Jordan Travis had another fantastic game completing 27 of 36 passes for 268 yards and two touchdowns, and also running for 62 yards and another score. Wide Receiver Johnny Wilson caught eight passes for 53 yards. For Duke, Riley Leonard started the game, but had to come out due to injury in the second half. Running back Jaquez Moore ran the ball 16 times for 110 yards and a touchdown.

The theme of Seminoles season thus far, has been that their most difficult opponent, has been themselves. I don't see anyone remaining on their schedule offering a threat, so the challenge for the team, is to overcome the sloppiness and mistakes, which have called for most of their games being closer than needed. Become more efficient in the ground game, allowing Travis to be a threat with his legs, and that will open up the offense as a whole. This is a really well-rounded Florida State team, that might easily cakewalk into the playoffs, if they don't trip over themselves along the way

One thing about FSU is the've been battle tested and every time they show resilience, they make the proper adjustments and just keep fighting and fighting and the momentum was changing even with Riley Leonard in once he was out the game the Noles were already dialed in 7-0 God Bless America & GO NOLES !

Norvell told em how he can make a game changing play. They had the audio of him talking to deuce before the kickoff. Spann bought in and scored. I was sitting there calling it before the return, we were about to get a play, and the blocks were on point.
The Noles like to measure their opponents out, and then beat them in sheer endurance. By 3rd Q, Duke was already tired and losing focus...FSU was full power till the end

I've been saying this all season. If fsu can play the full 60 minutes they look unstoppable. It's when they score a couple TDs early & seem to relax that the other team comes back. They need to remember to stay focused & play hard the entire time to keep that from happening.

Was at the game tonight. Duke is a lot better than what they get credit for. Our run d can be better but I love how the game plan on offense changed as the game went. Duke refused to give up anything deep in the passing game.

The guys arm isn’t a world beater. His scrambling is his bread and butter. But he is very poised and disciplined like the entire duke team is.

The holding by Duke’s O-Line was egregious. That first TD for 42yds should have been called back.

when Riley got hurt, it took the life out of us and we got outscored 21-0.

The passes he did complete were huge momentum shifts and some of the runs he made. You can’t look at stats black and white especially in football. We just wear people down. Eventually teams just cant keep up with all of our weapons and guys start breaking loose. Its just hard to hold this offense down and keep it from exploding all game. You can't key on any one guy on our offense. Has to be hard to prepare for. Our offense doesn’t have a lot of tendencies for a DC to key on and say we have to stop this one guy or that guy.

The first qtr pick gave Duke momentum and shocked some Noles players. Noles wore down Dukes defense in the scoreless 3rd quarter before going on a tear in the 4th. If they can duplicate that level of intensity and stay healthy the rest of the season they could easily end up in the National Championship game.
Refs never called one of the Dukes holding the entire time.

Dude we have DEPTH, not talent. There's isn't ONE dude on that line who will play pro ball. The key is that when we replace one for another, there's isn't a drop off like in years past. One six replaces another six so we win by attrition over time.
In addition, JT along with MN schemes make thr OL look way better than it actually is.
