Amazing footage of the herring. Interesting that all you guys, Daniel etc, still no footage of encountering a shark in uk waters. Would be incredible to see footage of a porbeagle or mako shark etc. Thought you might see one in the herring. Like I say, really interesting footage and a little eerie.

In these bits they tend to ignore the mullets; they say they smell and taste of diesel because they stay near the surface around piers and jettys so they're soaking in this dirt all day, I disagree!

We dive in fresh water now, and water temperature is 1 degree 😁👍 There is no clear water in sea since december, so we’re waiting till winds calm down.

That is awesome Joe! Doing what you really want to do. I think most of us assume you probably had a desk job before, because you look like a desk job kinda' guy! Great job on the spearfishing on that day. What is your gun setup in this video? Looks like maybe a single 16mm band 90cm??
Hi Roland, I was a Biology teacher in the past, but it was time for a change for me. My gun is a 90 with single 16mm band like you say, and a 6.5mm shaft. It is a cressi cherokee fast 90 but i switched the twin 14 bands for a single 16 when it was time to replace 👌

The clear water will come, having to be patient over here too! As for bass, 'From 1 March to 30 November, not more than two seabass may be retained per fisherman per day.' As far as I know this is still the rule for 2022.
Great video as always Joe - Can you recommend a good set of fins as Im going to Mauritius and the Maldives this year and when I went before the tide rips past very quickly so a good set of fins help propel you back with power - I was looking at split fins? I only snorkel / free dive - Keep the good videos coming !!!
