Nice review,I'm getting one of those,I love my perun 2, going on 5 years now, been great for camping an walking my dog at night,I definitely love the improvements they've made to this light, would love to see you review the new seeker 4 pro please,I love the new arkfeld light pro or ultra too
Thanks! I do have a written review of the Seeker 4 Pro: thetechnologyman.com/olight-seeker-4-pro-review-the-perfect-torch/. Let me know what you think of the Perun 3.
The Perun 2 has been our “big torch” for the last couple of years and it’s been rock solid in all weathers. The side switch with a battery indicator and easier mode switching in head-torch mode is tempting for an upgrade tbh.
When on sale, it is a good value. The High is pretty good output too. I do wish Fenix HM71R included a red light and turn the 2 lights on at the same time like the Wurkkos HD15, which can also go shorter to 18350 battery size and is USB-C. The magnetic Olight stuff just annoys me more than anything.
You can use a button top unprotected cell I think - but not sure you’ll find one with USB-C. Also obviously need to be careful to not charge with the magnetic charger in that case - that requires the olight cell.
Because of type c olight have to compromise its durability. Magnetic solve all the problems that can be caused by type c for instance waterproof and dust entering the port. It's is best to put Magnetic charging as primary method. That's how olight can maintain its value in the market. Magnetic charging is best.
Your videos are genuinely great. You are concise with the high quality and quantity of information you present.
Thank you so much - really appreciated!
Amazing video 👌
That was quick - thank you much appreciated!

I think you're saying about the white light attracting insects. You might find the red light helps with that.

I think it’s worth the upgrade for the headband alone!
Thank you great review the fenix HM71r is just like this.
No problem - and great suggestion!
whats that knife ? im looking for a drop point lock knife
It's the Olight Oknife Parrot!

No perfect torch!
Could you use a battery with an integral USB-C charging port to get the best of both worlds?
You can use a button top unprotected cell I think - but not sure you’ll find one with USB-C. Also obviously need to be careful to not charge with the magnetic charger in that case - that requires the olight cell.
@@TheTechnologyMan Ah yeah, it would be either/or instead of either 😄

Worth getting if I have the Perun 2??
I’d say so if you use it as a head torch. The Perun 2 band is awful.
@@TheTechnologyMan Got an orange one in the sale. Pity the band has a metal clip, would prefer something which doesnt scratch my torch 🙂
@@DamienNeverwinter I’ll probably leave in the headband but it’s quite scuffed up taking it in and out of the metal clasp for the review!
Nice, but i value usb c charging, think i will stick with my Sofirn HS10
If only they could standardise on the Warrior X 4 system with USB-C AND magnetic!
Fenix hm62-t
Thanks for the suggestion - Fenix do some great head torches.
