- Music? Excerpt from Richard Wagner - "Siegfried Idyll"
'For the film, see Sophie Scholl The Final Days.
... Sophia Magdalena Scholl (9 May 1921 22 February 1943) was active within the White Rose [Die WeiBe Rose]non-violent resistance group in Nazi Germany. She was convicted of high treason after having been found distributing anti-war leaflets at the University of Munich with her brother Hans. As a result, they were both executed by guillotine.
Since the 1970s, Scholl has been celebrated as one of the great German heroes who actively opposed the Third Reich during the Second World War.[1]'

This is a stirring tribute to Sophie Scholl and the White Rose movement which brought tears to my eyes. Five stars!
After seeing the movie in German with English subtitles, I really apreciate your dedication. Thank you very much.
good video..can you tell me where you got the photo at 0.21..?
i have been collecting a lot of her original photos but this one is unknown to me..thanks
thanks!
However there is a subtle danger which lies closely. That is, given the right circumstances, - and if absolutly necessary - i find i could also kill for this belief. That i think is why a very wise man once said, ''....even if i give my body up to be burned , and have not love , it is nothing''. Both christianity and aetheism throughout history have fallen foul of this great wrong.

"On his way to Damascus...", Paul rather abandoned being "a very wise man". His crimes, and distortions (of Jesus, f.ex.), are legendary and quasi defy description.
I agree with one of previous commenters. She would probably stand against the cruelties of stalinism if she was born in soviet union.
We probably agree there - it had nothing to do with christianity. Jesus stands outside of Christianity. Christianity was invented by men to tell us poor people who couldnt work things out for themselves what the, ''Real Jesus should be like.'' Very sweet of them.

That might be true (not so sure, though...), but she and her friends fought FASCISM as such, and not PRO Christianity in the first place. The Scholls were no Crusaders, and it should not be concealed that they acted out of a kind of existentialist choice. Philosophy probably was more important to them than religion.
Nice vid, pal. O, and gracias, btw.
