The funny thing about drawers is that some of the most (seemingly) organized homes I’ve been in still suffer from messy drawers. There have been a number of homes I’ve worked in that are so orderly to the naked eye that I wonder where the mess is. Many years into this career, I know now that these facades indicate that we’ll be spending a lot of time organizing drawers.
This is a video from one such client’s home. She had already done the “dirty work” of culling the drawer, but needed me to take it the extra mile. We ended up with neat little places for absolutely everything in her former problem drawer, accounting for each item with the supplies we bought.
If you’ve followed me for a while, you know that I don’t like to blindly throw fancy organizing products at a problem, but since she had done such a good job of defining how she wanted to use the drawer, it was screaming for these dividers as icing on the cake. All supplies are linked above at the top of this description.

I love to put scrapbook papers that make me happy inside the cardboard boxes. I use Mod Podge to add strength and durability. I use a lot of empty half gallon containers and cut them down to the height I need. So many creative uses instead of just throwing them in the trash as they aren't recyclable in my area. Thank you for sharing!

Thank you! That was the motivation I needed to fix my "inbox". I thought I didn't have room in the drawer, but I just figured it out!

Hi Christina! Yes, I love using drawers for everyday papers. It doesn't work for everyone (out of sight, out of mind), but it's how we do things around here.
