Idk how you don't get more recognition. You're one of the best, most versatile drummers metal has ever had. Truly. If it was even possible for me to narrow it down to a top 10 list you'd definitely be in there at number one. Stay bananas.
That is kind of you, thank you. Perhaps the way drumming trends that have evolved in recent times have led tastemakers to focus on those who have a larger exposure, a larger social media influence, and a broader recognition in the commercial music world. Most of what I'm known for is relatively obscure and often times are obtuse styles of musics where the average drum-enthusiast, be they pro or patron, are not typically interested in. There's a comfort in knowing the fanbase I've garnered is organic and through decades of work, and can safely say the vast majority of music I'm apart of is all stuff I can be proud of. Maybe one day if Imperial gets more out there will industry takes note, but until then, I will continue to enjoy the ride. 🙏🏼 @@vmeisterschischcabob5199

I love how relaxing this sounds but yet there’s still this insane amount of low key shred going on. Ambient Shred haha
This trio is a totality, sum being greater. The camera catches your driving work so nicely. Motzer lays down a sort of bedrock of lamentation over which Reuter soars. Advanced as it gets technically, there is a minimalism somewhere-no wasted notes and the simplicity of instrumentation draws us into the layered soundscape. This work is new to me and I am glad there is more to come from this project. And thanks for coming to Big Ears here in Knoxville-it, too, was killer, oobe. At 75, you’ve pushed my jazz playing toward math influences!

Always magical, Kenny. I discovered you through the music of Zorn (as I have for most of the artists I love) and was fortunate enough to see you play at Firehouse 12. Now my buddy and I spend a lot of time "talking Kenny" as we share clips and tracks.

Buttery hands! I didn't know where the downbeat was throughout, will listen again! 🥴 Hearing this makes me imagine what it might have been like if you'd played with Holdsworth.
That would have been a dream come true. Can say at least i met him once and shook his hand. The tune is mostly in 7/8, but am positive beats were dropped here and there. The music on the album is completely improvised, so there’s always room for interpretation.
