When "Romeo + Juliet" came out, my 10yo self said if I get married I'll be walking down the aisle to this song. 22 years later I'm getting to make it happen! 💜
I'm also choosing this song to walk down the aisle too! Can I ask you all, did you play this song for when your bridesmaids walk out, or it only begins when you personally walk out?
We're you able to do it without sobbing? I plan on walking down the isle to this in October. I can't make it through the first 10 seconds without tearing up.
I love the many variations of this song that are now available. The first time that I heard the very first chords of this song was in the film adaptation of Romeo and Juliet. I’ll never forget that moment. It’s rare for me to be taken so quickly by a song, but this is one of them. So beautiful yet also reflecting feelings of sadness and longing. A song for life.
I have had this on repeat for the past 2 days. The progression of the score 2.42 onwards always gives me whiplash it's so amazing. This has inspired me to learn the violin so that one day I could perform this piece. I know that when I do , the strings playing behind the main violin section will give me chills as every single note from all the scores blend into one harmony
Amazing - an instrument like this can really delve into your soul and pull it out, tie it into knots and then return it along with the urge to make your eyes well up with tears - bravo to the performance, because it isn't just the instrument is it! it's the musicians, well done.
Ahhhh, Every time I hear this version of the song it brings a tear to my eye, so so enchanting. Soon I hope to walk down the aisle to this version and then our first dance will be to the Beyonce version called Kissing You/Still In Love
I've never heard this song before, and I have no clue who Des'ree is, but I know beautiful music when I hear it, and what I just heard was ethereal.......
I love this string arrangement! It’s clean yet still emotionally evocative. That octave jump was cool. I would’ve stayed there longer, but overall, bravo!!!Now come accompany me on piano. The whole quartet. 😂
JEREMY LAURENT I don't speak French. Only what I learned in 6th-8th grade and I'm 32 now so that's long gone unfortunately, but your typed words look beautiful! Lol 😍
My English is not very good. now I'm 31 and my English of course have more than 10 years. I love music, music with emotions ... I like to let me bring in this kind of music ... words have a soul. we must know the ... the comprendres entenders ..
JEREMY LAURENT Bonjour! 😊 I saw your comment to me in my email, but it only showed part of it. I tried coming here to see your response to me here, and it's not here :( I at least saw the French part and my heart melted! 😘 I understood some of it as French is similar to Spanish😊 I am fluent in Spanish 😊 How are you??
Why do the musicians have Bach sheet music on their music stands while playing this? I know this piece is from the movie, "Romeo and Juliet," but is this an adaptation from one of Bach's pieces?
Perhaps they were performing Bach before this and had the music for Kissing You inside the Bach music book, or maybe whoever dressed the set/chose the props felt that it sounded like a Bach piece. It's a modern piece written by Des'ree and Timothy Atack, and arranged by Craig Armstrong who's composed/arranged a lot of movie music over the tears - but to my ears at least sounds 'classical', so perhaps the idea was to draw a comparison between the modern piece and one of the old masters. I wonder as well whether the intention was to give the appearance of a quartet performing in Bach's time - that is, that the music sounds as though it could have been composed at that time, in that atmosphere and environment? Good eyes, anyway!
@@jamescaseydiamond I was wondering the exact same thing 🤔! Very odd to deliberately choose to use Bach sheet music for cover rather than just plain black if they wanted to hide the original. Thanks for your hypotheses - you sort of made it make sense 👍😁
This was so well put together and beautifully played!!! I'm in tears!!!! Where can I find the sheet music for this for all the strings played in this video!?!? I want to play it on my violin, viola, and cello!!!

Dreams do come true 💗
I’m also walking down the aisle to this - did you hire a live quartet? And what did you walk back down the aisle to after the ceremony?
I am literally doing the same thing with my future husband!! We hired a quartet too!
Same with my cousin! When I heard this I was crying inside & out! 😭
I'm also choosing this song to walk down the aisle too! Can I ask you all, did you play this song for when your bridesmaids walk out, or it only begins when you personally walk out?
My favorite song. I walked down the aisle to this beautiful version.

An excellent choice! 💖
I also walked down the aisle to this song!! It was perfect.
And then we had the version performed by des'ree played later in the reception.
Me and my wife are from Mexico living in the US. We got married in Paris. My lovely wife walked down the aisle to this song.
