  • COLLAPSE CORE MOLDS are a type of tooling used in the manufacturing industry. They are designed to create complex and intricate internal features within a molded part. These molds are primarily used in injection molding processes.
The unique feature of COLLAPSE CORE MOLDS is their ability to create internal cavities or undercuts that cannot be achieved with traditional molding techniques. They consist of two main components: a collapsible core and a stationary mold cavity. The collapsible core is designed to retract or collapse after the molding process, allowing for the easy removal of the molded part with intricate internal features.
The process involves injecting molten material into the mold cavity, which fills the desired shape of the external part as well as the internal features. Once the material solidifies, the collapsible core retracts, creating the necessary space for easy ejection of the part.
These molds are commonly used in industries where complex geometries and internal structures are required, such as automotive, aerospace, and consumer goods manufacturing. They enable the production of parts with intricate details and reduced post-processing requirements, leading to improved efficiency and cost-effectiveness in manufacturing processes.

What is this injected piece for? And do those parts get molded together afterwards? Thanks!
