i cant get the 2C to connect in the combo 0:15 just out of range it seems

Yep it's a range thing. Be aware of the normals you use and the pushback they cause. 6b helps move you in range but if you string into 5c, it mostly pretty much won't work.
You'll have to use 5c>3c or 6b > 623c to get a knockdown then.

Is the jump after 6A in combos like the one at 0:40 a super jump?

Only if you plan to use j.2C in a combo, otherwise it doesn't matter too much depending on the opponent's height.

Can you master Carl with out using the doll ?

The whole strength of using carl is that you're basically playing 2 characters at once. If you only use carl you have subpar damage and lackluster defense and offense. At that point you're way better off playing any other character in the game.
