- Found over voltage condition from faulty voltage regulator triggering check engine light. Faulty voltage regulators plague 2004-2009 Piaggio 250-500cc scooters as well.

On my 278cc Quasar engine, CEL does not come on when i leave my O2 sensor unplugged.
(Zero to 65000kms right now, actually never came on...)
Why wouldn't come on when o2 sensor is disconnected? Sure it blinks when dash "boots up".
Robot, I need the three phase extension cord that goes from under the floor board to the stator plug in the engine compartment.

Hey Robot,you're videos are a great help 👍 unfortunately I'm having trouble with my 2009 Gts 300,it wont start very well from cold,changed the injector,new plug,valve clearance ok,ecu light is off,it runs absolutely fine when it does start,any ideas,pointers would be much appreciated,cheers 👍

gts 250ie from pre 2010. Light came on today and I've never had an issue with the bike (51K+ kms on the clock) totally made me panic but my bike did this what the one in this vid did to a T. voltage clipped 17.50....looking into a new one asap.
Bought a '21 Sei Giorni. Just took for it's first long ride. At 238 miles on the odometer, the check engine light came on. Bike is running fine. This sounds common but is extremely disappointing for a $8000 scooter. Any incite on this before I have to commit to a local dealer when I should be out racking up some miles? Thanks.

I have a 2013 50cc Vespa. My panel and headlight stopped working. The brake and turn signal lights work. I did notice it was revving to high so I turned it down. My battery charge is 12.68. The fuses are good and as far as I tell the bulbs are not blown. My two questions are: Does the dash light and head light run on the same bulb? And what do you think is the issue could be?

Hi guys, I fitted a GTS 300 block into my 250 guys today. Connected up the ECU throttle body and all the wireing apart from a slight modification to the lighting wireing. It's start up and running as normal.
Is this normal to run as normal?

Question, I hear some sort of variator rattle in this video, the same sort of variator rattle I hear with my own Piaggio MP3 250. Is this normal for Piaggio scooters? It seems to be mostly the 250 / 300's that have this noise.. I replaced everything allready, new variator, new front variator pulley, roller weights, belt and tensioner/roller.. but still the rattle is there. It's not the engine because when I take the variator off, the rattle is gone.
Obviously, there will be a slight rattle there are 6 rollers inside.
Rather strange that I watched this video then rode my GTS the same day and the check engine light comes on at highway speeds. I check voltage while reving engine and it’s 13.8 volts.
I have a MP3 500, I went for a ride on the interstate, when i surpassed the 6000 RPM the check engine turned on but when I reduce to 5000 RPM it turned off, it could be the same thing right?
I made the test on the battery and voltage does not go up above 14V so it should be something else

What a freakin nightmare to replace! I hate Vespas more and more, way overly complicated for a silly scooter. You have to take half the bike apart to do any repair on it! Once they get to be about 10 yrs old you better sell it or you'll be replacing lots of expensive electrical parts. It takes 2 hours and tons of frustration just to replace the damn clock battery, ridiculous!
When you mention part # , it'd be good to mention price.... TOTAL INFO. is much better.

I had the same fault on a GTS 300 2012 model in 2014 it had done 8,000 miles.
