At first, I thought how crazy doing knife only along with invisible enemies actually was but then I saw you could pick the difficulty and having it on very easy makes it well.. a lot easier. But I can only imagine how long it took to get down all of the enemy locations, all of their patterns on where they go and how they attack and just the overall mechanics of the game and just wanted to say that it is truly remarkable what you have done here and in your previous playthroughs, thanks again and I am getting ever so closer to that 100% completion because of you have a good night! :)
I am using this guide now in 2024 watched first two parts and now third, your commentary is awesome and pretty easy to understand and you talk to us like it is a live stream which I absolutely love and the jokes are funny too like the serum part "oh look he is sleeping" hahaha overall its great will watch and like more of your tutorials ^^

Thanks for this absolutely awesome guide @Optinoob. It was incredibly helpful and very easy to follow. To everybody whose capsule keeps exploding after being grabbed by the first zombie, I had the same issue but on my third try, it just didn't explode. I used tank controls and the d-stick, I also ran 1 or 2 steps once in a while, which doesn't make the capsule explode. Just let the zombie fully grab you and only then start wiggling out, this at least worked for me. I'm so happy to take on completing this game as it is my favorite gaming series of all time. Thanks again and keep up the good work!
Great guide, don't think I could've managed without it LMAO also I had a bad feeling in the lab so I saved it before filling the nitro, and exactly as I thought, that zombie in the tunnel grabbed me and I exploded *immediately* LOL lucky I saved

Man it just feels so good following this guide and doing the run side by side with you knowing I got all the hard stuff out the way like the 3 hour speed run and the Real survivor this is such a breath of fresh air. Edit: This was honestly my favorite run out of everything it was so much fun if your doing this for the first time dont be scared its very easy the game literally gives you a crap ton of healing items the only hardest part is what Optinoob said is the crimson fight he literally made me use up all my healing items lol and I was still in red at the end after that fight the rest of the run is very easy.
Lisa Trevor knocked me off the platform. Had to reload and wait 1-2 seconds after pushing each pillar. At the bomb part I blew up as soon as the zombie grabbed me. Had to reload and knife him to death. Thankfully the Chimera hits didn’t blow me up. As for the Tyrant, I almost killed him but got too excited and he instakilled me lol. Reloaded and killed him with only 2 healing sprays used. Much easier than I thought this run would be. Can’t wait to go right into Chris’s run. Ironically my name is Chris. So this will be MY playthrough. With infinite ammo carnage. 😎

Plant 42 as Chris invisible with the knife is worse, did that in my first ever uploads. That was a mega stupid decision though. Tyrant invisible isnt too bad i didnt think
One thing I found out in the residence area a couple of my playthroughs if you push the crate to the upper most hole against the brown crate you can actually get onto of the crate and than get onto of the brown crate and get across without having to move the crate back and fourth at all. Also in the spider room if you go in there for the first time where the spider is on the ceiling and head back out the door and than back in the spider will despawn so you dont have to worry about him when you need to grab the book.

Yoooo, I woke up, and then right away, I hopped on to play Invisible Enemy Mode. Just completed it, and man, this was heart-pounding. I'm glad I beat this mode, and I did it in 03:20:21. Man.... I was hoping I'll get the infinite Launcher in this guide but went over 20mins in the 3 hours. :((( But oh well, I'll get the Launcher by myself with the Infinite Samurai. I'm just really glad that I got these big achievements out of the way thanks to you, mate. All I have left is all of Chris achievements, the Nook and Cranny, and the under 3 hours, and no ink save. Obviously, I can't play the Chris guide and the No Ink guide without the Launcher, so I'm going to have to do that on my own sometime. However, I'll get the Launcher and finish that run in the orange color clear data save, so when I want infinite Launcher, it'll be in the orange colored clear data save file. Thanks once further more, mate. Keepitupmane Also!, QUESTION: What I just said at the end is that true? If I speedrun normal mode and get Launcher under in the orange colored clear data save file, the launcher will be in there right every time I load up the orange clear data save file? Since Invisible Enemy mode was orange colored when we saved. And when I play Normal mode under in the orange colored clear data save file, my saves will still be orange right as well?
Great guide as usual! I was dying laughing every time you cussed the camera angles. LOL! I finished the game about an hour ago, but the achievement didn't unlock? I followed the guide perfectly, but I used my pistol (not infinite ammo) instead since I already had the "CQC FTW' achievement. Was it supposed to be done within a certain time? My playtime was 5:51, but that's because I would pause when I had to step away so the timer just ran. I can't find anything else online. Tried restarting and all that. Hoping someone else ran into this!
@@Optinooby That's what I thought too. Yea, I'm on XSX and system was/is online. Hoping it's just a big delay with the achievement popping. Worst case, I just do it again.
My last 3 trophies/achievements were no saves, knife only and invisible enemies so I did all 3 on this playthrough thank you so much for the guides, been a super fun journey, the most scary parts for me were the crimson head fight because he kept not grabbing me and moving left and right while I was in the corner so I missed a lot and used all my healing. Then the next scariest part was lisa trevor because if she'd have hit me off it would've been over completely.
Just a heads up to anyone going for this run, I recommend knifing the zombie and chimera that will be in your way before you pickup the nitro, they don't do much damage and die really fast.
Just done knife only :) doing invisible enemies now separate as I’m not that crazy 😜 haha. Gonna use the same strategy though. Thanks again for another great walkthrough 🥰
Maaaan, what a ride this game was. I did it. 100% on Steam = Perfect Game. If I dont mention games like Tell-Tale, I have 5. OK, finally got past the Crimson Head jackass 😂Two things helped me very much and I easily beat the boss on my first attempt after I realized them. I'll share them for anyone else like me who really struggled with that boss: one, I didn't realize I had been taking full damage due to non-optimal analog stick wiggling. I was wiggling LS around randomly, but you want to ROTATE it as fast as you can (duh). Rotating both LS & RS might be better than LS + button mashing according to one really helpful Reddit thread I found, not certain on that, but it definitely helped me (if you get bitten twice during the attack, you failed to resist it-if you only get bitten once, you succeeded, same as with regular zombies). Optinoob rotates + mashes and has no problems succeeding his resists though, so honestly, just do whatever is most comfortable as long as you're successfully resisting (only getting munched on once per bite). Two, the DOWNWARD knife attack (aiming down) actually does the same damage as the regular slash (!) but has slightly better range (!!) meaning a downward stab is pretty much preferable to a regular slash in every situation, but it REALLY shines in this fight. Upward slashes do much more damage, but they're much riskier, I had much better luck with downward stabs. For anyone who wants to Google the Reddit thread, the title is "Resident Evil HD Enemy/Item/Weapon Testing Notes". It goes into loads of detail about lots of the game's various under-the-hood mechanics and I found it very helpful.
Hey mate, I'm currently working on getting platinum on all the main Resident Evil games 0 to 8, done 2+3+7+8 so far thanks to your guides. I noticed you have guides for all of them except RE6. Just curious if there's a reason you haven't done it, or maybe you just haven't got around to it yet ? :D I know you have alot of guides on your schedule.
I never liked 6, though this was years back and now I make guides, it does give me a different approach and incentive So I will have a look into it again somewhere down the line and if I'm feeling it, then I will do a guide. Though I can't guarantee and it won't be in the near future, maybe fall or something

Phew, Idk... I feel like I've gone a bit mad... I keep thinking after each playthrough I need a break as RE can really fatigue you out, but I still had that urge to play more today and just did the knife/invisible run in 3hrs, 18 mins. So not to bad and I still haven't poped the trophy to die yet! Which to me I want to make it my lasy trophy to pop, lol! Thank you again sir! : D
Cheers for the guide i managed both knife only and invisible mode together finished 3h1m reloaded the save before the final one and the trophy for under 3h by using the hand gun to kill the tyrant faster. Ready to start the next part 👍

so something is different on this part between your game and mine the moment that thing hit me i instantly exploded and you cannot force the zombie that grabs you off its an instant explosion whether you use the buttons and stick or just the buttons i exploded 3 times simply because i was attacked made it past the zombie by not pressing anything at all but the bug instantly exploded the nitrous with its first attack 2:38:44
In the labs after getting the nitro compound, I keep blowing up when that hallway zombie grabs me whether I try shaking him off or not. I’m playing on Very Easy but not invisible enemies (did that in a separate run). Playing on PS5. I’ll have to try knifing the zombie and bug first I suppose. 🤦🏻♂️

These videos are awesome and are helping a lot. I’ve noticed one thing though. In the Residence where you push the crate over the hole and move it back and forth, why do it that way? From the start position move the box down 3 times and then over against the dark boxes to cover the first hole. Then you never have to move it again and can cross back and forth over the dark boxes without being attacked.

Was doing fine until the gas compound bit - did as you said, shrugged the zombie and BLEW UP 😭 I was using the tank controls too so I have no clue what happened there.
1.10You can push the box in the corner, and not have to move it again, you do have to jump over two more boxes but it's less annoying then moving the box every time
@@OscarGiudici MY RE1 vids can all be combined for a optimal platinum route, 5 runs altogether with 1 save reload for Chris's endings. You want my Normal run first, Real Survival speedrun 2nd, this one 3rd, then yet to upload are 4th and 5th. 4th is Chris doing both endings, can save reload for both near end. Then 5th is no saves. Do both on very easy and use infinite rocket laucher, easy!! If you look at my VERY FIRST videos ever, they are a 3 playthrough RE1 plat run. Very hard to pull off though so wouldnt recommend, seems my guides are more accessible nowadays xD What im doing.now is a.more comfortable 5 playthroughs
@@OscarGiudici If you get ahead before I get 4th and 5th up, with your knowledge gained from 1st, 2nd, 3rd you should be able to do 4th and 5h yourself. Infinte rocket launcher on.very easy so nothing to worry about. With Chris though, be sure to save everyone, but make a save just before you rescue jill from cell. Then once you have his save every1 trophy, leave Jill with the rats and let Wesker die on helipad for the bad ending. Little trick that which many dont know! Have fun with it buddy, now with RE2re, I found it a little bit harder going into this. Was nice playing this b4, but now with RE2re modernising the.series kind off, its hard not to wish for this being remade with same engine xD

Hey m8, I do actually have a Chris Invisible Knife run, in my first ever set of videos, so there if you need it, BUT................Invisible Knife Chris is fricking annoying...........why you ask, well let me kindly tell you; PLANT 42 INVISIBLE KNIFE!!!! I dont know why I did it in the first place lol, but I will never forget that!! Honestly, I just advise following route i've got here in these newer vids. You CAN platinum in 3 runs (9hrs) as I did back then, buts its not recommended. I know shorter ways always look better from a outside perspective, and although I always go for that, this is one of those instances though where if you're not a RE jedi, you will likely waste MORE time trying to go the quicker/harder ways, due to retries etc

well thank you for the walkthrough got both achievements now i just need the stone and metal object with chris achievement which is bugged unfortunately cause i've already tried about 10 times gonna start a new game with infinite rocket on normal and see what happens since its bugged on easy and very easy
I'm guessing that, for the Crimson Head coffin boss, it's not worth going for head slashes? He's straight-up murdering me so I'm trying to experiment with different strats haha Feels like there's loads of RNG to the fight, I was researching it and apparently he has a random amount of HP between 2300 and 5600 if I understand it right, which is a crazy range. And his bite deals 212-340 damage to Jill, so he can theoretically one-shot her in orange, since Jill enters orange at 479 HP and Danger at 239 HP. But you don't really have enough inventory spaces to heal every time you hit orange, you pretty much gotta do it the way you did and wait until she's in Danger 😬 Been playing M/KB, might have to try it with my XBox controller
I got hit by the crimson head in the tunnel and didn't die or blow up. Managed to get away from him and get a heal before finished with nitro capsule 😊 finally finished Jill normal under 3 hrs then every nook n crannie thanks to you Optinoob and then Carcinogen 😊
How do u mean m8, if u mean do I know about the nitro capsule, yea, from the my testing, it's ONLY running or perhaps rotating the sticks during a grab that sets them off. I tested grabs, shooting etc, and it wouldnt set it off, but as soon as I run, KABLOOEY DUEY!! But it was a bit inconsistent, sometimes I could run 4 steps or so before it detonated, other times, just running for a split second and my ass was toast
I picks up a couple tips on my run that may have been missed... If not doing every nook, you can do JVolt with only 3 jars and retract the wall block after moving statue saves bad camera angles when moving statue on the turntable (after black tiger)

So I'm starting this mode now...dear god! Lol..question...will the passion of fashion trophy unlock after invisible enemy mode since you unlock all costumes after finishing that mode? I think I might have messed up something as far as costumes..I haven't saved over any cleared data, but at one point I reloaded a jill save to get her save nobody ending then saved that end game instead of keeping the save everyone data..confusing I know...but I read all costumes unlock after this mode which would be a blessing...anyway, love your guides and commentary and you've made me highly enjoy playing this game which I thought I never would. Thanks man for your help.
Oh yea the costumes, yea a lot of guides are incorrect abt the requirements. I cant remember for sure m8, but i think they all unlock after invisible enemies yea U should be fine, like ai say i cant quite remember but what u say rings a bell

I have no idea why, but I just explode instantly when grabbed by that zombie in the lab when carrying the nitro fuel. At first I thought it was because I tried to break free by wriggling the stick, but I tried again without touching anything and I still blew up. Guess I'll have to knife the guy before taking the fuel, and probably the chimera later too just in case.
Okay, done. That wasn't so bad, especially compared to the Crimson Head boss fight much earlier, lol. Now it's just 0 saves run left, where I have the choice of using the infinite launcher but having to deal with suicide bomber zombie (because I unfortunately unlocked it without knowing about it) or loading an older clear save where I don't have the launcher but also no annoying zombie running around. Maybe I'll try the former just for the novelty... and inevitably curse myself when I accidentally blow myself up halfway through the run. :)
With the explosive container , I spent like a few hours once, purposefully setting it off and seeing what works what doesn't, and it got to the point when all that would set it off would be running believe it or not. I think I actually used weapons if iirc and all was good. I think perhaps if ur controller sticks in regards to any running buttons, perhaps even touch, that could set it off.....just a thought It could be just messed up coding regarding that as well, sometimes it just works, sometimes not. But yea, annoying to get all that way just to have it explode in ya face
@@Optinooby Inputs-wise, the only thing I can think of is that maybe any stick input regardless of intensity triggers the explosion while being grabbed. In which case it could easily happen if your controller has the slightest bit of drift, as mine does. It's not enough to cause even a slow walk in this game as the deadzone is larger (it's really only an issue in games with rather small stick deadzones), but maybe it's different during grabs. Quite a design oversight if that's the case.
And one other random tip I discovered (thanks Google) for getting past Lisa in the cabin without getting hit-be holding Up on the D-pad as the cutscene ends, so that Jill walks forward for _just a split second,_ then start running with LS. I had my right thumb on the D-pad for that to make the timing easier. You literally only want to walk for a single step. Jill takes a step forward as the cutscene ends, walking, and as soon as her foot hits the ground, take off. For whatever reason, this screws up Lisa's timing, and she usually swings at air behind you. Obviously it's not that important and the simplest approach is to just eat the hit, but if you used more heals than you wanted in the Crimson Head fight, you can save that extra herb or two. Sorry for carpet bombing you with comments btw 😂Boosts engagement metrics I guess!
I did a lot of testing with it, I had repeatedly been grabbed and the bomb wouldnt going off, only seem to go off when i ran after a lot of testing. I dunno why some are finding it a little different, perhaps its related to control style or something
@Optinoob Alright, I found out why some of us are exploding. After the last save, you literally HAVE to get grabbed by every zombie you get grabbed by in the video. The people that are dying right after getting grabbed (happened to me 4 times while doing no save runs) are dying because they are DODGING the zombies that you weren't after that LAST save. If you dodge any zombies that you got grabbed by, you instantly die. So it's inherently a glitch, you getting grabbed by the zombies on purpose instead of dodging them (due to it being a beginners run) actually made it so that you can get grabbed while having the nitro can.
I assumed you were doing the exact as I was, so I thought you wasnt dodging and thats why I was puzzled. So you're dying because you're not following me exactly? Didnt I explain in the video not to dodge? How do you mean dodge anyway, there isnt a dodge feature, do you mean you're baiting their attacks and then quickly running past or trying to? All I experienced after hours of testing is that if you run you will explode, cant even tap the run button. Dodging doesnt automatically make it explode if you can avoid the running part, say you could bait them and then walk past xD, you just cant run at all so any sorta of evade is almost impossible. ALL that sets it off is the run button, you CANNOT touch it with the nitro I honestly thought you were doing exactly as me, it sounds like i didnt mention the importance of not running and that i didnt explain exactly why im getting grabbed deliberately?? Apologies if thats the case, surely I did though as its quite important
I followed for my first playtgrough I used your guide from every nook n cranny n then after that I did real survival with Chris to get all his trophies n now one dangerous zombie is there I think I screwed up I still need to do the 3 hour n knife n invisible enemy I think I have to start new game files now which suck I c thst your Playlist has most of things done with Jill I should of followed your Playlist but I wanted to try this without a guide n get all the endings I don't know what I'm gonna do now lol I'm brand new to this series n love it I just started last week. I'll be using this guide for my knife n invisible I wanted to do speed run with it but you don't unlock those they have to be on normal 4 that so I'm gonna have to do a separate speed run I think I got a game plan all set up do a speed run first then this guide here will get me the platinum
I do the speedrun somewhere as its required for platinum, I likely just combine it with one of the runs, I definitely do it somewhere. ODZ appears on your 2nd repeated playthrough doesn't it of normal and above (but not Real Survival or Invisible). This is why I start where I do, and do it the order we do it, to avoid that annoying zombie. Im not sure exactly what you have left to do so guess you will just have to decide which will work best for you. My memory is rusty, but does the ODZ not appear on easy?
@Optinoob so I did the Jill on normal every nook n cranny n all her trophies n then I did Chris on real survival n did his trophies and at the end of that real survival run it said odz got unlocked so I don't kniw if it's a new thing now but it unlocked on real survival I know he doesn't appear on invisible mode. So all I need now is the knives run n invisible run and the speed run that's it I was gonna do the speed run on your knive run on invisible but I guess u have to do the speed run on normal to get the the trophy n unlock the weapons
I dont get you Man. How the hell can the coffin crimson Head bite you Just once, but he Goes and bite me 3 times? And i press all the buttons of my controller and he still Bites me 3 times anyway. How did you do it?
I blew up twice toward the end and I never ran, was using tank controls. Once when a zombie bit me and once when a bug swiped at me. I decided to knife those two enemies right before. It seems inconsistant. once a zombie bit me and I blew up, then second time the zombie bit me and I was fine....but then the bug hit and I blew up haha.
It's really weird, I was thinking maybe if ur controller is a bit faulty, maybe the run button sticks a tiny bit, not enough for us to realise, but the game recognises it, or maybe it's a bit buggy All I know is I literally spent a few hours testing stuff with the canister and I could do anything as long as I didn't press run

Im playing on very easy and the chimera actually makes me blow up, happened 4 times in a row now, I'm 100% sure i did not run, I made a save with the capsule right before entering the room so now I can try again and again but this is just rng
Ok, I just managed to put the capsule in, I had to run for a bit to not get hit by the chimera and just hoped that I wouldn't blow up, time to finish the game now!
That is real sh*t m8, I actually tested things with the capsule before running the guide, 1 was that Chimera. I actually let him grab me purposefully a few times and I never blew up, I also shot rockets as well iirc and I never blew up!! The guaranteed detonation was running and perhaps wriggling when grabbed... I think on that 2nd one. Had you been wriggling/mashing when the capsule when boom??
@@Optinooby I was actually killed by the "slash" attack and not by the grab, and my hp was full, so I really don't know what happened there, but anyway aside from that everything went smoothly thanks to your guide and getting invisible enemies and knife only in the same run was a big relief. I need to do one more playthrough without saving and I still need to get every nook and cranny for the platinum trophy and I have a couple of questions: yesterday i started a new run on very easy to do some miscellaneous trophies with chris, but there is this "grenade suicide zombie" that spawns and it's pretty annoying, can I get rid of him but still keep my rocket launcher? And second should I start a new playthrough for every nook and cranny or load and old save near the end of the game? I have one with Jill but I didn't get the broken shotgun so I don't know if I still can unlock it. Thanks for all the help man, really good and fun guide! :)
Yea glad u got past it in the end, not sure y it was detonating, something i missed.... ;( I can answer much abt the suicide zombie as ive literally never had him appear, I always avoid him spawning xD I think he appears once u complete normal+ with both characters. Dont think there is much u can do other than a new game or delete save, u maybe best having a google on that 1 as Ive never had him and cant quite remember him appearance causes U need every room empty and discovered, will be quicker if u have a save, if not then u wanns restart, will be quicker on RS with IRL. The only room u cant reenter is shotgun trap, but that room may appear empty afterwards....
@@Optinooby Oh I think I have a RS save with chris actually, I'll have to see if I still do and use that for Every Nook And Cranny then, using that save I should also be able to restart the game without the suicide bomber zombie

@@Optinooby I am just uploading my own Invisible Enemy game-play on Hard Level with best ending and ,,no save,, ,,no death,, ,,no first aid spray usage,, conditions! 😉 As for trying the knife only on Hard Level on invisible enemy mod just forget about it, that was a joke from me besides I don't think it's possible to beat hard level with knife only considering the massive damages of enemies + very limited ammos & health items!
I did Chris for my knife run . For trophy runs I did things at required difficulty so very easy knife run. Don't wanna stress. Did the no save run with don't stop running. Held off on invisible for awhile
Hey, great guide overall. I managed to make it to the labs using this and doing so with no saves also. So the guide itself is fantastic and leaves you with lots of healing items. Unfortunately one piece of info during the labs isnt correct and its about carrying the nitro. While this guide mentions on Very Easy difficulty you shouldnt be affected by enemy attacks causing it to explode, on my way back a zombie and Chimera both grabbed me and it did cause the explosion effectively resetting my run. Bit disheartening but just wanted to put that out there for anyone else trying to follow this without saves too. Still overall a very beginner friendly guide 😁
I can only apologies mate, I made a save here and spent a few hours trying things with the canister in my possession, and anything I mentioned is the conclusions I came to. At this point though it blanks me how these things are happening because none of it is what i experienced with my testing. It would seem there is something else at play, but its not what I experienced at the time through my testing

Tbh this was my own risk to run it no saves and not check the comments about the chimera risk 😁 Yeah for sure 100%. I know its hard too to account for things you dont encounter in your runs. I have a no save video btw ;) Thinking about, maybe its because u got grabbed by 2 enemies at once, thats something i didnt try. I tried it with a single zombie and single chimera and they grabbed me a lot but it NEVER set the bomb off. Though I can u had to be sure not to rotate the stick, cant recall exactly

He can be yes, but following my guide he will be easy, only difficult parts are literally the final fights on Nightmare and Inferno, if abusing inf. Weapons! So I guess RE3re as a whole, is much easier BUT, that last boss fight on Inferno is harder than any single thing RE2re throws at u! Honestly, the difficulty spike on that last boss jumps up massively

I played the OG RE3 several times on PS1 but that was 20 years ago. :-) I played the demo only of RE3R and even the zombies are more in RE3R than in RE2R so i felt like it was way more hectic than RE2R but lets see how my opinion will be after playing it but the story is shorter right ?
@@Optinooby I played RE1 some weeks ago, i made like %60 and left it, played 2 times in hard with Chris & Jill after that it didnt paid my attention again. The dogs and crimson heads can be hard at times, RE0 and RE1 was harder than RE2R imo.

At first, I thought how crazy doing knife only along with invisible enemies actually was but then I saw you could pick the difficulty and having it on very easy makes it well.. a lot easier. But I can only imagine how long it took to get down all of the enemy locations, all of their patterns on where they go and how they attack and just the overall mechanics of the game and just wanted to say that it is truly remarkable what you have done here and in your previous playthroughs, thanks again and I am getting ever so closer to that 100% completion because of you have a good night! :)

To everybody whose capsule keeps exploding after being grabbed by the first zombie, I had the same issue but on my third try, it just didn't explode.
I used tank controls and the d-stick, I also ran 1 or 2 steps once in a while, which doesn't make the capsule explode. Just let the zombie fully grab you and only then start wiggling out, this at least worked for me. I'm so happy to take on completing this game as it is my favorite gaming series of all time. Thanks again and keep up the good work!

Man it just feels so good following this guide and doing the run side by side with you knowing I got all the hard stuff out the way like the 3 hour speed run and the Real survivor this is such a breath of fresh air.
Edit: This was honestly my favorite run out of everything it was so much fun if your doing this for the first time dont be scared its very easy the game literally gives you a crap ton of healing items the only hardest part is what Optinoob said is the crimson fight he literally made me use up all my healing items lol and I was still in red at the end after that fight the rest of the run is very easy.
Lisa Trevor knocked me off the platform. Had to reload and wait 1-2 seconds after pushing each pillar. At the bomb part I blew up as soon as the zombie grabbed me. Had to reload and knife him to death. Thankfully the Chimera hits didn’t blow me up. As for the Tyrant, I almost killed him but got too excited and he instakilled me lol. Reloaded and killed him with only 2 healing sprays used.
Much easier than I thought this run would be. Can’t wait to go right into Chris’s run. Ironically my name is Chris. So this will be MY playthrough. With infinite ammo carnage. 😎

Another fantastic guide, easy to follow and helped me get two of the worst trophies done in one go. Legend!
One thing I found out in the residence area a couple of my playthroughs if you push the crate to the upper most hole against the brown crate you can actually get onto of the crate and than get onto of the brown crate and get across without having to move the crate back and fourth at all. Also in the spider room if you go in there for the first time where the spider is on the ceiling and head back out the door and than back in the spider will despawn so you dont have to worry about him when you need to grab the book.

Yoooo, I woke up, and then right away, I hopped on to play Invisible Enemy Mode. Just completed it, and man, this was heart-pounding. I'm glad I beat this mode, and I did it in 03:20:21. Man.... I was hoping I'll get the infinite Launcher in this guide but went over 20mins in the 3 hours. :((( But oh well, I'll get the Launcher by myself with the Infinite Samurai. I'm just really glad that I got these big achievements out of the way thanks to you, mate. All I have left is all of Chris achievements, the Nook and Cranny, and the under 3 hours, and no ink save. Obviously, I can't play the Chris guide and the No Ink guide without the Launcher, so I'm going to have to do that on my own sometime. However, I'll get the Launcher and finish that run in the orange color clear data save, so when I want infinite Launcher, it'll be in the orange colored clear data save file. If I speedrun normal mode and get Launcher under in the orange colored clear data save file, the launcher will be in there right every time I load up the orange clear data save file? Since Invisible Enemy mode was orange colored when we saved.
And when I play Normal mode under in the orange colored clear data save file, my saves will still be orange right as well?

I finished the game about an hour ago, but the achievement didn't unlock? I followed the guide perfectly, but I used my pistol (not infinite ammo) instead since I already had the "CQC FTW' achievement. Was it supposed to be done within a certain time? My playtime was 5:51, but that's because I would pause when I had to step away so the timer just ran. I can't find anything else online. Tried restarting and all that. Hoping someone else ran into this!

My last 3 trophies/achievements were no saves, knife only and invisible enemies so I did all 3 on this playthrough thank you so much for the guides, been a super fun journey, the most scary parts for me were the crimson head fight because he kept not grabbing me and moving left and right while I was in the corner so I missed a lot and used all my healing. Then the next scariest part was lisa trevor because if she'd have hit me off it would've been over completely.
Just a heads up to anyone going for this run, I recommend knifing the zombie and chimera that will be in your way before you pickup the nitro, they don't do much damage and die really fast.

OK, finally got past the Crimson Head jackass 😂Two things helped me very much and I easily beat the boss on my first attempt after I realized them. I'll share them for anyone else like me who really struggled with that boss: one, I didn't realize I had been taking full damage due to non-optimal analog stick wiggling. I was wiggling LS around randomly, but you want to ROTATE it as fast as you can (duh). Rotating both LS & RS might be better than LS + button mashing according to one really helpful Reddit thread I found, not certain on that, but it definitely helped me (if you get bitten twice during the attack, you failed to resist it-if you only get bitten once, you succeeded, same as with regular zombies).
Optinoob rotates + mashes and has no problems succeeding his resists though, so honestly, just do whatever is most comfortable as long as you're successfully resisting (only getting munched on once per bite).
Two, the DOWNWARD knife attack (aiming down) actually does the same damage as the regular slash (!) but has slightly better range (!!) meaning a downward stab is pretty much preferable to a regular slash in every situation, but it REALLY shines in this fight. Upward slashes do much more damage, but they're much riskier, I had much better luck with downward stabs.
For anyone who wants to Google the Reddit thread, the title is "Resident Evil HD Enemy/Item/Weapon Testing Notes". It goes into loads of detail about lots of the game's various under-the-hood mechanics and I found it very helpful.

I never liked 6, though this was years back and now I make guides, it does give me a different approach and incentive

so something is different on this part between your game and mine the moment that thing hit me i instantly exploded and you cannot force the zombie that grabs you off its an instant explosion whether you use the buttons and stick or just the buttons i exploded 3 times simply because i was attacked made it past the zombie by not pressing anything at all but the bug instantly exploded the nitrous with its first attack 2:38:44

In the labs after getting the nitro compound, I keep blowing up when that hallway zombie grabs me whether I try shaking him off or not. I’m playing on Very Easy but not invisible enemies (did that in a separate run). Playing on PS5. I’ll have to try knifing the zombie and bug first I suppose. 🤦🏻♂️

RE2R really is a great game
These videos are awesome and are helping a lot. I’ve noticed one thing though. In the Residence where you push the crate over the hole and move it back and forth, why do it that way? From the start position move the box down 3 times and then over against the dark boxes to cover the first hole. Then you never have to move it again and can cross back and forth over the dark boxes without being attacked.

Was doing fine until the gas compound bit - did as you said, shrugged the zombie and BLEW UP 😭 I was using the tank controls too so I have no clue what happened there.
1.10You can push the box in the corner, and not have to move it again, you do have to jump over two more boxes but it's less annoying then moving the box every time

@@OscarGiudici MY RE1 vids can all be combined for a optimal platinum route, 5 runs altogether with 1 save reload for Chris's endings.
You want my Normal run first, Real Survival speedrun 2nd, this one 3rd, then yet to upload are 4th and 5th.
4th is Chris doing both endings, can save reload for both near end. Then 5th is no saves. Do both on very easy and use infinite rocket laucher, easy!!
If you look at my VERY FIRST videos ever, they are a 3 playthrough RE1 plat run. Very hard to pull off though so wouldnt recommend, seems my guides are more accessible nowadays xD

@@OscarGiudici If you get ahead before I get 4th and 5th up, with your knowledge gained from 1st, 2nd, 3rd you should be able to do 4th and 5h yourself. Infinte rocket launcher on.very easy so nothing to worry about.
With Chris though, be sure to save everyone, but make a save just before you rescue jill from cell. Then once you have his save every1 trophy, leave Jill with the rats and let Wesker die on helipad for the bad ending. Little trick that which many dont know! Have fun with it buddy, now with RE2re, I found it a little bit harder going into this.
Was nice playing this b4, but now with RE2re modernising the.series kind off, its hard not to wish for this being remade with same engine xD

Honestly, I just advise following route i've got here in these newer vids. You CAN platinum in 3 runs (9hrs) as I did back then, buts its not recommended. I know shorter ways always look better from a outside perspective, and although I always go for that, this is one of those instances though where if you're not a RE jedi, you will likely waste MORE time trying to go the quicker/harder ways, due to retries etc

well thank you for the walkthrough got both achievements now i just need the stone and metal object with chris achievement which is bugged unfortunately cause i've already tried about 10 times gonna start a new game with infinite rocket on normal and see what happens since its bugged on easy and very easy

I'm guessing that, for the Crimson Head coffin boss, it's not worth going for head slashes? He's straight-up murdering me so I'm trying to experiment with different strats haha
Feels like there's loads of RNG to the fight, I was researching it and apparently he has a random amount of HP between 2300 and 5600 if I understand it right, which is a crazy range. And his bite deals 212-340 damage to Jill, so he can theoretically one-shot her in orange, since Jill enters orange at 479 HP and Danger at 239 HP. But you don't really have enough inventory spaces to heal every time you hit orange, you pretty much gotta do it the way you did and wait until she's in Danger 😬

I got hit by the crimson head in the tunnel and didn't die or blow up. Managed to get away from him and get a heal before finished with nitro capsule 😊 finally finished Jill normal under 3 hrs then every nook n crannie thanks to you Optinoob and then Carcinogen 😊

How do u mean m8, if u mean do I know about the nitro capsule, yea, from the my testing, it's ONLY running or perhaps rotating the sticks during a grab that sets them off.
I tested grabs, shooting etc, and it wouldnt set it off, but as soon as I run, KABLOOEY DUEY!!
But it was a bit inconsistent, sometimes I could run 4 steps or so before it detonated, other times, just running for a split second and my ass was toast
I picks up a couple tips on my run that may have been missed... If not doing every nook, you can do JVolt with only 3 jars and retract the wall block after moving statue saves bad camera angles when moving statue on the turntable (after black tiger)

So I'm starting this mode now...dear god! Lol..question...will the passion of fashion trophy unlock after invisible enemy mode since you unlock all costumes after finishing that mode? I think I might have messed up something as far as costumes..I haven't saved over any cleared data, but at one point I reloaded a jill save to get her save nobody ending then saved that end game instead of keeping the save everyone data..confusing I know...but I read all costumes unlock after this mode which would be a blessing...anyway, love your guides and commentary and you've made me highly enjoy playing this game which I thought I never would. Thanks man for your help.

I have no idea why, but I just explode instantly when grabbed by that zombie in the lab when carrying the nitro fuel. At first I thought it was because I tried to break free by wriggling the stick, but I tried again without touching anything and I still blew up. Guess I'll have to knife the guy before taking the fuel, and probably the chimera later too just in case.
Okay, done. That wasn't so bad, especially compared to the Crimson Head boss fight much earlier, lol.
Now it's just 0 saves run left, where I have the choice of using the infinite launcher but having to deal with suicide bomber zombie (because I unfortunately unlocked it without knowing about it) or loading an older clear save where I don't have the launcher but also no annoying zombie running around. Maybe I'll try the former just for the novelty... and inevitably curse myself when I accidentally blow myself up halfway through the run. :)
With the explosive container , I spent like a few hours once, purposefully setting it off and seeing what works what doesn't, and it got to the point when all that would set it off would be running believe it or not. I think I actually used weapons if iirc and all was good.
I think perhaps if ur controller sticks in regards to any running buttons, perhaps even touch, that could set it off.....just a thought
It could be just messed up coding regarding that as well, sometimes it just works, sometimes not.
But yea, annoying to get all that way just to have it explode in ya face
@@Optinooby Inputs-wise, the only thing I can think of is that maybe any stick input regardless of intensity triggers the explosion while being grabbed. In which case it could easily happen if your controller has the slightest bit of drift, as mine does. It's not enough to cause even a slow walk in this game as the deadzone is larger (it's really only an issue in games with rather small stick deadzones), but maybe it's different during grabs. Quite a design oversight if that's the case.
Maybe a good idea for that would be to set tank controls just before, if that's it. Then change back after

And one other random tip I discovered (thanks Google) for getting past Lisa in the cabin without getting hit-be holding Up on the D-pad as the cutscene ends, so that Jill walks forward for _just a split second,_ then start running with LS. I had my right thumb on the D-pad for that to make the timing easier. You literally only want to walk for a single step. Jill takes a step forward as the cutscene ends, walking, and as soon as her foot hits the ground, take off. For whatever reason, this screws up Lisa's timing, and she usually swings at air behind you.
Obviously it's not that important and the simplest approach is to just eat the hit, but if you used more heals than you wanted in the Crimson Head fight, you can save that extra herb or two.

I did a lot of testing with it, I had repeatedly been grabbed and the bomb wouldnt going off, only seem to go off when i ran after a lot of testing. I dunno why some are finding it a little different, perhaps its related to control style or something

@Optinoob Alright, I found out why some of us are exploding. After the last save, you literally HAVE to get grabbed by every zombie you get grabbed by in the video. The people that are dying right after getting grabbed (happened to me 4 times while doing no save runs) are dying because they are DODGING the zombies that you weren't after that LAST save. If you dodge any zombies that you got grabbed by, you instantly die. So it's inherently a glitch, you getting grabbed by the zombies on purpose instead of dodging them (due to it being a beginners run) actually made it so that you can get grabbed while having the nitro can.
I assumed you were doing the exact as I was, so I thought you wasnt dodging and thats why I was puzzled. So you're dying because you're not following me exactly?

How do you mean dodge anyway, there isnt a dodge feature, do you mean you're baiting their attacks and then quickly running past or trying to?
All I experienced after hours of testing is that if you run you will explode, cant even tap the run button. Dodging doesnt automatically make it explode if you can avoid the running part, say you could bait them and then walk past xD, you just cant run at all so any sorta of evade is almost impossible.
ALL that sets it off is the run button, you CANNOT touch it with the nitro

I followed for my first playtgrough I used your guide from every nook n cranny n then after that I did real survival with Chris to get all his trophies n now one dangerous zombie is there I think I screwed up I still need to do the 3 hour n knife n invisible enemy I think I have to start new game files now which suck I c thst your Playlist has most of things done with Jill I should of followed your Playlist but I wanted to try this without a guide n get all the endings I don't know what I'm gonna do now lol I'm brand new to this series n love it I just started last week. I'll be using this guide for my knife n invisible I wanted to do speed run with it but you don't unlock those they have to be on normal 4 that so I'm gonna have to do a separate speed run I think I got a game plan all set up do a speed run first then this guide here will get me the platinum
I do the speedrun somewhere as its required for platinum, I likely just combine it with one of the runs, I definitely do it somewhere.
ODZ appears on your 2nd repeated playthrough doesn't it of normal and above (but not Real Survival or Invisible).
This is why I start where I do, and do it the order we do it, to avoid that annoying zombie.
Im not sure exactly what you have left to do so guess you will just have to decide which will work best for you.
My memory is rusty, but does the ODZ not appear on easy?
@Optinoob so I did the Jill on normal every nook n cranny n all her trophies n then I did Chris on real survival n did his trophies and at the end of that real survival run it said odz got unlocked so I don't kniw if it's a new thing now but it unlocked on real survival I know he doesn't appear on invisible mode. So all I need now is the knives run n invisible run and the speed run that's it I was gonna do the speed run on your knive run on invisible but I guess u have to do the speed run on normal to get the the trophy n unlock the weapons

I blew up twice toward the end and I never ran, was using tank controls. Once when a zombie bit me and once when a bug swiped at me. I decided to knife those two enemies right before. It seems inconsistant. once a zombie bit me and I blew up, then second time the zombie bit me and I was fine....but then the bug hit and I blew up haha.
It's really weird, I was thinking maybe if ur controller is a bit faulty, maybe the run button sticks a tiny bit, not enough for us to realise, but the game recognises it, or maybe it's a bit buggy
All I know is I literally spent a few hours testing stuff with the canister and I could do anything as long as I didn't press run

Im playing on very easy and the chimera actually makes me blow up, happened 4 times in a row now, I'm 100% sure i did not run, I made a save with the capsule right before entering the room so now I can try again and again but this is just rng
Ok, I just managed to put the capsule in, I had to run for a bit to not get hit by the chimera and just hoped that I wouldn't blow up, time to finish the game now!
That is real sh*t m8, I actually tested things with the capsule before running the guide, 1 was that Chimera. I actually let him grab me purposefully a few times and I never blew up, I also shot rockets as well iirc and I never blew up!!
The guaranteed detonation was running and perhaps wriggling when grabbed... I think on that 2nd one.

@@Optinooby I was actually killed by the "slash" attack and not by the grab, and my hp was full, so I really don't know what happened there, but anyway aside from that everything went smoothly thanks to your guide and getting invisible enemies and knife only in the same run was a big relief.
I need to do one more playthrough without saving and I still need to get every nook and cranny for the platinum trophy and I have a couple of questions:
yesterday i started a new run on very easy to do some miscellaneous trophies with chris, but there is this "grenade suicide zombie" that spawns and it's pretty annoying, can I get rid of him but still keep my rocket launcher?
And second should I start a new playthrough for every nook and cranny or load and old save near the end of the game? I have one with Jill but I didn't get the broken shotgun so I don't know if I still can unlock it.

I think he appears once u complete normal+ with both characters. Dont think there is much u can do other than a new game or delete save, u maybe best having a google on that 1 as Ive never had him and cant quite remember him appearance causes
U need every room empty and discovered, will be quicker if u have a save, if not then u wanns restart, will be quicker on RS with IRL. The only room u cant reenter is shotgun trap, but that room may appear empty afterwards....
@@Optinooby Oh I think I have a RS save with chris actually, I'll have to see if I still do and use that for Every Nook And Cranny then, using that save I should also be able to restart the game without the suicide bomber zombie

As for trying the knife only on Hard Level on invisible enemy mod just forget about it, that was a joke from me besides I don't think it's possible to beat hard level with knife only considering the massive damages of enemies + very limited ammos & health items!

I did Chris for my knife run . For trophy runs I did things at required difficulty so very easy knife run. Don't wanna stress. Did the no save run with don't stop running. Held off on invisible for awhile
Hey, great guide overall. I managed to make it to the labs using this and doing so with no saves also. So the guide itself is fantastic and leaves you with lots of healing items. Unfortunately one piece of info during the labs isnt correct and its about carrying the nitro. While this guide mentions on Very Easy difficulty you shouldnt be affected by enemy attacks causing it to explode, on my way back a zombie and Chimera both grabbed me and it did cause the explosion effectively resetting my run. Bit disheartening but just wanted to put that out there for anyone else trying to follow this without saves too. Still overall a very beginner friendly guide 😁
I can only apologies mate, I made a save here and spent a few hours trying things with the canister in my possession, and anything I mentioned is the conclusions I came to.
At this point though it blanks me how these things are happening because none of it is what i experienced with my testing.
It would seem there is something else at play, but its not what I experienced at the time through my testing

Thinking about, maybe its because u got grabbed by 2 enemies at once, thats something i didnt try.
I tried it with a single zombie and single chimera and they grabbed me a lot but it NEVER set the bomb off. Though I can u had to be sure not to rotate the stick, cant recall exactly

He can be yes, but following my guide he will be easy, only difficult parts are literally the final fights on Nightmare and Inferno, if abusing inf. Weapons!
So I guess RE3re as a whole, is much easier BUT, that last boss fight on Inferno is harder than any single thing RE2re throws at u! Honestly, the difficulty spike on that last boss jumps up massively
@@Optinooby Who is the last boss ? The last stage Nemesis that looks like a worm (similar to G5) ? I played the OG RE3 several times on PS1 but that was 20 years ago. :-)
I played the demo only of RE3R and even the zombies are more in RE3R than in RE2R so i felt like it was way more hectic than RE2R but lets see how my opinion will be after playing it but the story is shorter right ?
@@Optinooby I played RE1 some weeks ago, i made like %60 and left it, played 2 times in hard with Chris & Jill after that it didnt paid my attention again. The dogs and crimson heads can be hard at times, RE0 and RE1 was harder than RE2R imo.
