Do u know how much km is the life of the timing/distribution chain ? Im the third owner but the bike just has got 64.500 km and got the original timing chain. Thanks
@laureanobarta7084 Fxr150 timing chains are quite strong and last a long time. You can check by seeing if the cam timing marks line up. That will show if it has stretched much.

Yea man anything for a Sub ;) Ivo 16* BTDC, Ivc 39* ABDC, 235* Total. Evo 42* BBDC, Evc 9* ATDC 231* total. All at measured at 1mm lift. * is Degree's.
@@TheMotorcycleForge sorry... i just wondering... i think you retard 8 degree of exhaust open... Exhaust open should be 34 degree right? Or i am wrong 😅
As i know, fxr150 ignition timing 9 degree BTDC (1500rpm), while raider 150 (fu150 carb) is 7 degree, and fx125 is 5 degree So, I want to use Fx125 CDI for FXR150, what happens ? Thank you
If your timing of each bike is correct. When you put a fx125 cdi on a fxr the less advance would probably give you a little more power low down and mid range but have less power higher up in the rpm's.
I'm after mostly engine parts. Currently a couple charging rotors, a crankshaft and a balancer with the balancer gears. Doesn't have to be new, Used parts are fine. Any info much appreciated. Cheers Logan
Can you help me degree my Suzuki fx 125cc it has same head the only problem is that I have racing camshaft’s 330 duration and 8mm lift I ordered a degree kit for timing but I don’t know how to do it one mechanic friend told me we can time the camshaft with overlap when both valves are open and piston is on tdc is this true?
If you follow this video you should get them timed up correctly. No I would not try set timing that way as it I just guessing. Getting timing wrong with destroy your engine.
Yeah, sorry it is no as easy to explain as I would like. So put simply, you need the cam shaft set up data/ center lines. Fit them to bike and find where they open & close. Half way is the ceter line, adjust till timing meets set up data. Double check valve to piston clearance, make sure there is enough clearance.

Nice. How is that engine doing now?
@chadkarl8904 This engine is in my girlfriends racebike and still going strong.
Where did you begin your study ? I am genuinely interested in you..

@@TheMotorcycleForge that definitely fills in a lot of “grey area” ! Love it and can’t wait to see what else you come to find on your journey
How do you adjust the camshaft timing?. Did you drill on the cam gear?
I slotted the original holes with a die grinder/dremel
Hi, i was wondering if you can share the degrees on intake and exhaust?. Looking forward to it.

Depends on the cam grind, this was the specs on this cam, this cam had the lobes re ground for more lift and duration.
@@TheMotorcycleForge thank you friend... I love your video... I hope you can make more video about degree camshaft of twin cam engine in future...

And reverse, if use fxr150 cdi on fx125 (standard engine), does gain another results bro ?
Thank you
Yes so a fxr cdi on a fx125 should gain a little power higher in the rpm's.
nice info vid...greeting..im a fan & owner of Belang/raider Fu from malaysia...
Awesome, glad to hear it.
Would you know of someone who can send Fxr 150 parts from Malaysia to new Zealand?
Can pay $$ for your time ect
