- With a lot of newer players coming into the game thanks to the console release, I think it would be a good idea to show how to submit your maps for Track of the Day and Cup of the Day! It can be a challenging process, but it's definitely worth it in the end!

Dude ive been looking for these such tutorials they are nice and clear they have healped me alot and i feel like im actually ready to make a TotD map.
That's great to hear, thank you!
One tip I will add to the mix is to look for livestreams on twitch for feedback. There are often mappers who are doing map reviews while doing their own mapping, and it is a good setting for constructive criticism.
Thank you, this was incredibly informative!
Good information, subbed
On console you can’t make linked checkpoints so do you know an easy way to make double respawned checkpoints work better?
What I've seen is some people will add a secondary path with boosters that you're normally too fast to take, but can take if you're starting from a double respawn
@@nolafus ok tysm and keep up the good vids!
thankyou very much for the content!
I started to build maps on tm few weeks ago and those tips are so useful, I hope you are going to make the video about scenary!
In map review i try my best not to give 1 star votes unless the mapper has mentioned that they are just showcasing it and don't want it to be cotd
A lot of new players hate ice maps or magnet maps and most of them rate the maps 1 star even if its not hard still they rate it low how can i fix this.
Unfortunately, the technique is to avoid queuing your map when these players are online since some newer players almost take pride with the fact they won't learn ice. To do this, I would scout out the lobby beforehand and make sure the players are in a good mood, and to ensure there aren't any trolls. Your best bet is to try to queue around CotD, as that's when the most amount of skilled players are on. When your map pops up, just say something along the lines of "Hopefully you guys don't mind a bit of ice!"
For the map itself, if the scenery is really good that can help struggling players realize that the map had a lot of care put into it, so maybe they'll think twice about voting 1 star.
It's definitely not easy getting an ice map through, good luck! Sometimes it seems like you have to win the voting lottery
Building an unconventional map is a good idea to get picked by Nadeo, but good luck getting a high enough vote. There is a reason all totd maps are so similar. They are all void of anything unique that the occasional player doesn't like and votes a 1 star on
That's what the scenery is for
Or when map review is just too bad to play it. When you put up maps and the great players give nothing but 10/10 feedback but the shit players all tell you it's awful.
