Beck is a beast. I was at famu band camp and he was playing flight of the bumble bee with no hands. Just straight embrachore, and it was in tune. He could be playin on the chicago brass orchestra next to arnold jabobs if he wanted to right. He's just that good.
In 1975 the tuba section played a song called White whales to this day they still play it. Boy back then the tubas were fearless and they still ar e. The💯💯💯💯🐍🐍🐍🐍inthe70,s they had 24 tubas.
That has to be the first time since I ever seen this band that the tuba section actually took time to crank up...wonder why they don't do that more often, could be a good battling section.
For the record. Da Whales do have more fanfares. FAMU marching 100 is very traditional. The fanfare is called White Whales. That fanfare has been around for years. It's history. It's means something to all Whales Worldwide. But no tuba section will step to the Whales cause they no better.

Horsepower only had 20 tubas at the Warren County exhibition i was there.....they have never marched a season with over 10-12 because that would throw the whole balance of their band off

LOL I should never question you because after all you are the 100's number one fan/ groupie!! and as stated earlier in fact just to set the record straight there are NO FAMU students in the 100...we recruit from all of the middle schools and elderly home in surrounding areas hell they recruited me right off the street I and I dropped out of school after elementary!!!! Eh, vsu is overrated. They are loud, super steriod loud, but theres no bass in their sound, and that really turns me off. I look for sexiness when a section plays. And and famu is straight bass.
