Awesome video thanks Graeme. Beautiful place, lovely boat, and great people. I love the accent from Southern Ireland but have never been. That fried Ling looked delicious - I've heard it is better eating than Cod. I was going to cook Gammon for tea tonight but might now have to search out some fresh fish! Stay safe & well!
Different accents for each county, 32 county’s all together so 32 different accents!! The one your hearing in this video is the cork accent. Best shore fishing in Ireland imo is on the beara peninsula also in cork
Nice short video on catching and cooking up fresh fish- my buddies wife use to do the same thing but we had a bit of lemon juice- excellent video- keep them videos coming -from your friends in frozen Canada 🇨🇦 !!
Another excellent Video Graeme, the fish expertly filleted and cooked, totally agree just cooked in smoking oil with flour no need for sauces and cooked as fresh as you can get it. Fortunately pollock and ling are not over fished in the u.k. currently, lets hope people don't catch on to what a tasty fish they are, it would be such a shame if the commercial boats did what they have done to the cod and almost fished them to extinction. Nice post with excellent background music, thanks for that.
As a London boy MOST of my fishing back home was freshwater. Specimen hunting. I moved here to South Texas 4 years back and now all my fishings saltwater. Most inshore but my boat gets out 30/40 miles. We are soooo lucky to be able to catch some amazing tasting fish. You would go mad at the flounder we get! Baked whole/boned/stuffed with crab and shrimp!! But we got Sheepshead/Speckled trout,redfish/cobia/Spanish mackerel/kingfish,snapper/grouper etc etc! All taste great.
Delicious looking fish. I like the way she KISSes (keeps it seriously simple) it when cooking it. And I agree, sauses and batters have a bad habit of hiding or actually ruining the true flavors of both fish and meat. Before my wife switched over to the medical field (a nurse now), she was a professionally trained chef and she taught me that along time ago and got me to appreciate the true unseasoned flavors and I think they are 100% better. Too many people over season foods, even with a simple season such as salt or pepper. Ya can always add them after cooking to your taste I say. Thank you for another great video. See ya in the next one.
Great stuff guvnor. Great Yarmouth is glorious today, might go fling a few lines down the harbour tomorrow. Having done a side by side taste test I'd rate Ling top, then pollack. I also really like whiting, they're a pain but very tasty.
Love your videos T.A Have you fished that chalk Quarry small pond with steep high banks near the railway gates on a road near a chippy? at Arlesey in Herts/Beds? May be the Green lagoon
Question: When I watch UK fishing videos, inevitably sea fishermen are using worms for bait. In New Zealand, most fishermen use primarily bait fish such as pilchard, squid, anchovies etc...You might occasionally see someone fishing to a theory using chicken, pork etc off a wharf, but never worms. Why worms in the UK?
Do you mean live worms? Certain baits for certain species, rag worm is great for dog fish, small pollack, wrasse, plaice, dabs, flounder and bass but bigger species such as bull Huss, smooth hound, conger, ray, angel fish, cod, shark ect love fish based baits. A lot of species in Irish and British waters are scavengers so worms are a great bait for those fish
Thanks! I've only just discovered these super thanks things (Mike just told me how to find them and reply) I appreciate your kind donation. All the best - Graeme
@@TAFishing I wondered who she was. I'm normally not keen on music on UA-cam videos, but she has a great voice and as you said, it was ideal for the video.
I'm not fishing with anyone the way the workload has been the last two months...hope it eases off next week. (Probably will, just as the weather changes )
Totally agree...all these fancy chef's..with their sauces ..where would they be without their creams n cheese ...all those ridiculous sauces..sauces upon sauces...eat with hands who needs that aluminium metal in between...
A woman not to be messed with !!!....You would be filleted and in the frying pan before you could say.. "A pint of Guinness please !! ".....Mark and Trish are great hosts for any visiting anglers ....They have been doing it a long time...
I agree with what Patricia was saying, something as beautiful and fresh as that fish, keep it as simple as possible and allow the fish to be the star.
Lovely video. They really have fabulous fishing in Ireland and I love Patricia's culinary skills.
Tu pesca es increíble, este lugar me recuerda donde pescar aquí en Brasil, ¡Felicidades eres un excelente pescador profesional! 👍🎣🐟🐠

You're welcome. 🙂👍
Just wondering what the music was?
Blimey, no messing with her fish is there.
much better than cutting trees
It’s always been you Jesus
Best eating fish for be would be black bream. Whole cooked on the bbq.
Who is the singer on the backing track?
I would have to look it up on the library file...I must confess I just felt the voice tone ideal for the content. If I can't find it maybe Mike knows.

Strange music. Guessing its free and uncopyrighted. Just like the Bible.
No,its not free,we pay for it...
Tricia is hot 🔥
Get that stupid Music off it and this would be a good video !
I thought you were a Zepplin man? That music was dredfull.
Yeah, but "Dazed and Confused" wouldn't really have gone with the tranquil scenes though.
