Who Pays US Tariffs?

Tariffs are taxes on products US companies import. American businesses pay the increased taxes on imports from China. I know this because I write the checks. The checks are written either to the US Department of Homeland Security or to a customs broker who then pays the US Government. China does not pay the tariffs. Chinese companies do not pay the tariffs. Anyone who says otherwise is wrong.

Honestly, it's American pay the tariffs. China will suffer GDP lost with less export to USA, but they do not pay the tariffs.
