Fairware | Vancouver Street Soccer League

The Vancouver Street Soccer League is a volunteer-run, non-profit organization which reaches out to individuals who have been homeless, are currently homeless, or are at risk of homelessness, as well as individuals who feel marginalized within their communities, or are recovering from drug and alcohol addictions.
Over the years, we’ve been greatly moved by the stories that have come from this organization, such as the one showcased here from Alex. Having spent two years on the street before finding VSSL on a walk past Andy Livingston, he now describes his morning practices as his Sunday church.
What started with a simple printing of a few leftover sample t-shirts has grown into an incredible initiative that we’ve proudly seen grow since it took its roots. At Fairware, we endeavour to continuously find ways of supporting our local community and fostering positive change. As spring approaches, VSSL is gearing up for June Sports, an indigenous soccer tournament which celebrates a culmination of all the players’ hard work and determination - and we’re excited to help send 25 players and volunteers to participate!
