I worked in Ketchikan Silver Lining Seafoods for a few summers, I've touched more salmon than you and your 100 (million) closest neighbors will see in your combined lifetimes. (Because i was the 'ace in the hole'... we pitched the fish (100,000 pounds per day) by hand into 250# buckets hoisted down andup, standing hip deep in freezing salmon slime in the frozen hold, one fish at a time, every morning, every boat, every tender... my hands...) By the way, I can tell the species by the texture and taste as well, blindfolded in a pitchblack hole. So there. Love your channel!
Great trip, such beauty and bountiful waters. No shortage of meat for the campfire.
Fish ain't meat... they agreed to be eaten. Says Jesus Christ... Read the Essene Gospel of Peace translated by Edmund Szekely
The guys that names don't start with J have to sit out back 😂😂 love the vids
fishing while adventuring, very happy
Imagination is greater than... Dammit!
ROFL! It's a pink. No, it's a silver. Dude, that's a pink. Something keeps breaking my line.....it's a halibut...... Classic stuff. Great video.
Great video bud! I'm glad your friend got a shot at Halibut redemption.
I am SO freaking JEALOUS!!!
That was my first thought... Dammit!
That halibut....What a crappie gaffer....
I usually don't have anyone gaff my crappie, but when I do it's Jeff
I need to come up there and go fishing and catch fish like those.
Good stuff boys! Can’t wait to get the charter season underway!! April 14th is our first one!
Think you may have Cheval Narrows and Pony mixed up....OBTW, you still aren't out of the bay. You need to go to Ailik
Yeah I got it sorted out…pony is all still in the bay. All lingcod caught in the bay were released
Resurrection bay is Full of surprises 😎
Nice silver.
Ugly rockfish.
It was a pink, small scales😆 A good time was had by all. @joe McKinney
Easiest way to tell is that silvers have very hard teeth, pink salmon have soft teeth.
Beautifully shot at 17:12👍🏼
We are going for our first time in june
Tell me all about it.
That's incredible. I am hoping to get out to Seward next year. I am not sure where to fish, but I hear it's all good haha. Grats on the trip!
I'm sure you'll know it when you see it.
Millers landing
What time of year was this?
Nice video! What size north river boat?
The guy saying, thats a pink, everybody else is like, bro that’s a silver. I am in washington and i could tell it was a coho from here!
Lol he was out of practice
What size r the boats?
That's Cape Aialik, hit the wrong key. Draw a straight line to Barwell. South of the line you are out of the bay.
Where's the Kings??
great video, what was the name of the cabin you guys stayed at ?
I cant remember, but it was on Humpy cove, My brother booked it.
How does one go about planning a fishing trip to Alaska?
Hit up millers landing in Seward AK
Were you really out there in December? Some of the catches make no sense. Great trip though!
Who said I was out there in December? December is a slower time for me to catch up on editing
Where did you get your boats from?
My dad had one of them up for sale after he bought the new one. Now he just owns the North River
Where did you rent the boat
No rental, my dad owns them.
Coho salmon have silver streaks in the tail... screw the spots.
There are definitely more than one way to tell them apart for sure

Im from outdoor boys 😍😍
Beating it with a bat? Ridiculous and cruel.
Actually quick and humane
@@HowtoAlaska A well aimed harpoon is instant dispatch.
Quieter than a Glock, but still works.
Yeah you should tickle the fish to death but first play it some classical music to calm it down after you’ve traumatized it by catching it…lol
Your’e breaking the law dude…those yellow eye rockfish have to be released..its a very slow growing fish and for that reason have to be put back!
Fake news
😂😂😂 you have no clue bud you’re allowed 1 non palegic rockfish a day
