I resolved my issue finally !!! After all these methods and attempts that I found on YT, it was as simple as purchasing a 3rd party new adapter off of Amazon to resolve my issue. It charges perfect while the surface is operating.
Could not find the solution anywhere on the web, even from Microsoft support. Thank you, FIXtastic Solution/Yes You Can! The the smartest, friendliest, and best advice/tech on the web!
thank you so much!! all i had to do was install that battery thing and it started charging! every day it wouldn't work I would be so annoyed, thanks to you it finally worked! I liked and I will subscribe to you
@Yes You Can welllll unless I did something wrong, it doesn't work on surface 8. Got a certified refurbished in "excellent" condition and stopped accepting a charge on day 4 🙄
I would suggest plugging in a replacement charger or take it to the computer shop to test for you. It’s hard to say what the problem is without further testing.
I have an issue with my surface pro 4 which detect the charger but not charging and i have bought another charger but still same issue. i have tried this step but still not working.
Enter the bios and turn battery limiter off. That worked for me when nothing else would. I just replaced the battery and that wasn't even the problem. Well at least I have a new battery installed when I didn't really need one.
My computer suddenly stopped charging, I already did the process and it didn't work, it stays at 0% and doesn't charge, as soon as I remove the charger it turns off
@@yesyoucan8821 .. dear brother first time when i did it. Charging start but again same problem. Now when i Uninstall the driver my laptop shutting down in restarting.
@hr_soli Nothing worked for me. I am just keeping a charger with me everytime. I put my device on charge every night, and it charges around 7% per hour. It is hampering my mobility but what else I can do.🙄
@armughan44 This is just sad. I have a Surface Pro 7 + and after the problem, I went to check my battery wear (from the Surface Toolkit app) and it went from 0% to 5% overnight, without any obvious reason. I think the battery has bitten the dust completely.
Hi there, I've a Surface Pro 7 and recently, my battery won't charge. I used to hve my connection on all the time but somehow, this time when the battery is low even with the charger plugged in and the led white light is on brightly , it still would not charge and it just continues to drained till it's dead. I tried the method you showed by going through Device Mangers, then select Batteries but there is no extension like your to choose to delete???. It just came up with Batteries and that's it. Can you pls help? Tks Rosemary frm NZ
Hello Rosemary. I am sorry to hear this. Try plugging in another charger adapter. Perhaps your current charger could be defective. Also I am wondering whether your internal battery may need replacing. Best let is to take it to a computer shop to run software diagnostics on your surface pro to determine the fault of your device.
Had to give this a "thumbs down" because of the "music". A pity. Because the information looks like it is on the right track. Will come back another time and take another look. Music? Not necessary... Especially when the batteries are not charging...
The music has nothing to do with the best solution. I was about to order a new charger. Could believe my eyes when I saw the charging light. Thank you so much.

I accidentally deleted the main one and now my battery won’t show up. Is there anyway to fix this?
I wish this would've worked for me!! Thank you!!!
You have to force restart instead of just shutting off normal.

Done.
Not working for me. Needs to be plugged in at all the times. If I'll disconnect the plug, turns off straight away. A new battery may do the job.
Yes, I think it’s time for a new battery. I would suggest you watch my other video. Search for how to check battery report in my channel.
Try entering the bios. Turn the battery limiter off. That worked for me when nothing else would.
@@peacekeeper4528what's the 'bios' and where's the 'battery limiter' located?
It dint worked for it still says plugged in :Best performance with 0 percent
Will this work on surface 8?
Hello, it should do but I am not certain. Please try and update us all.
@Yes You Can welllll unless I did something wrong, it doesn't work on surface 8. Got a certified refurbished in "excellent" condition and stopped accepting a charge on day 4 🙄
Lol what a coincidence to all surface 😅😂 mine also I think they do some updates to make it not charge
Very helpful!thank you❤

My charger is fine but now the surface battery is completely dead
You can charge the surface with a USB-C, but it does take a while! Had a Windows 11 update to install, I'm hoping it will help!!
I’m having the same issue right now is there a way to fix it?
I seen a way that worked for me. I entered the bios and disabled battery limiter. Rebooted and the battery started charging
@@Meanderivation Try disabling battery limiter in the bios. It worked for me.
Electricity comes through the charger but the surface is not charging, is it port issue or the charger is bad?

thanks for the reply, it was the wall plug @@yesyoucan8821

Sadly didnt work for me
It didnt worked for me. My surface is charging slowly... almost 6-7% per hour. Please suggest some help.
Perhaps try a different charger if charging slowly and problem maybe to do with your battery. How is the health of your battery?
@Yes You Can Battery health is ok, I tried the following things,
Hard reset,
Firmware update
Change charger
Windows update
Nothing is working.
