In the 90’s Serie A ( Italian League ) was the go to league for international super stars. Recoba was special and if not for injuries he could have achieved much more. He is a legend in Uruguay for the club Nacional. And a goal scored from a corner is called an Olympico. He was a specialist, and a special talent.
I am Uruguayan and I can also tell you that he was not very disciplined, he was not often in training in Uruguay, he could have been one of the best in history, a shame

Chaz wonder no more.. apparently he was quite lazy and often turn up late for trainings. On top of that he was banned for a year (reduced to 4 months) due fake passport (rule for number of non EU players my guess) and plagued with injuries.
