    That seems very advanced for the 70's.. I remember seeing that in the 90's and thinking it was so high-tech.. I'm sure not all supermarkets had this technology in the 70's

    It's just amazing, the people who work at the checkout counters can't even give you the correct change anymore or know the multiplication tables anymore without the aid of a pocket calculator.

      Would be a good indication that the US should invest a little more into their education instead of war and rich tax cuts, no?

    What's the name of that music that comes in between the 1:00 and 1:20 mark?
    Even NFL films used it.

    Now there's just time consuming entering in of all the data, going back and fixing all the mistakes, waiting while the cashier has to find the upc or scan three times to get one item to scan, wait while she removes the extra scanned items because they rang twice, and bags it herself because there are no bagboys.
