I never knew you can use a police man as a ladder. Tucker Tim teaching us new things every day.👮
Even so the Dutch Police ;-)
dutch police are amazing
nah @@osurelatedvigilante
Well mourad then you better not be scum@@brucemourad7390
The difference in Europe is that truck drivers are seen as an essential service and regarded as professionals rather than a labourer with a driving license as it is here. The attitude of the police was spot on as well. Over here you'd have been tasered, cuffed and in the nick before you could say "Morning Officer"
And in America he'd have been shot lol
Its also a difference between Police and ILT. The ILT wouldn’t have let him go like that.
Yea I don't know about that. In Germany for example, the transportation inspectors are infamous for making it truckers as hard as possible
If u drive in Dutch pull over ur in th cell fast and get cuffed and tazersed first he’s kinda true
Mooie auto En hulde voor onze Nederlandse agenten zo kan het ook hoop dat je een mooi weekend gehad heb bij ons prachtige truckersfestival Waar we zelf ook geweest zijn
Those officers were awesome. They were just doing their job pretty much but they didn't give you a ticket or anything and actually helped you cover up the blue lights 😂
The way you communicated and cooperated with the Police Agent is a absolute plus, very professional.
The Netherlands used to be a very large transport country, and it still is. You see a lot of beautiful trucks driving every day.
It is only the polish drivers ruining it
We need some pov driving like the old times Tim
yes
Yeah! Not ment in a bad way, but it's to much day in a life vlogger style. Miss the drive pov👌
Yeah and the old days of out trucking were fun to watch.
also custom tones
I agree
Blue lights are not allowed in the U.K. either Tim.......you were literally asking for trouble......you got away with that lightly......
I knew the blue lights would be a problem but I didn't think it'll be a problem that quick 😂 You can get RGB beacons with clear lenses, maybe worth a look into lol.
I have a bicycle light that cycles between red and blue flashing, police pulled me over and the person was way less nice than these two agents. He basically yelled at me why i was trying to impersonate police (i wasnt) he took the light from me and fined me 65€, i tried to talk to him but he basically said if you keep talking i will keep adding fines, so i just shut up. Abit crazy if u ask me.. but its the day and age we live in.
@@Kevin97587depends what jobs worth police officer you get
@@Kevin97587 theres a big difference between a kids toy that goes red and blue and a bycicle light that goed red and blue
@@Kevin97587 it all depends how you act to the officer. If you are polite and not making up excuses and just accept you are wrong and accept your ticket and coorporate then Dutch police are very friendly and most likely you won't get ticketed for evertyhing you actually deserve. if you start with arguing, give then a big mouth or act as a spolied kid, well then you are asking for it and you'll get it.
@@Kevin97587 I mean, you are impersonating an officer. That's pretty bad and I doubt any excuse exists to do so.
Putting those blue lights on that truck was a stupid idea. (sorry Tim but it's true) So far they've just been a pain in the Assen 😉
I think your right, its the same in the UK, they should be covered up except when INSIDE a show, its only a matter of time Tim before it happens in UK.
Could you imagine a VOSA inspector letting you stand on his shoulders while you tape pants to your beacons? lol
I was thinking they were pretty good value those guys and then they did that! I mean they were pretty fair and reasonable about it, unlike a lot of people would be in that situation in the UK.
@@almac414they knew where he was going ( they know its a massive thing here and that most trucks have things on them that are technically illegal ). If he hadn’t used them they would’ve not stopped him. Also its smart to have orange tops with you just incase.
And these also wern’t “the truck police” in dutch its called ILT they were just “normal” police meaning they just look out for normal illegal things like speeding, reckless driving and then those lights. These will never want to see your tacho etc. Those are what ILT are for.
Not all OB are like that over here. The camera definitly helped.
Got to be the best cooperative Police I've ever seen what a great pair they were.
I really don’t understand the blue lights. Truck is coming along beautifully but the blue lights are asking for massive trouble. They’re both illegal and I think they actually tone the roof down. Crystal orange LED beacons look better.
@24:01 The Dutch concept of tolerance is one that is as old as time. It dates back to the end of the Eighty Years’ War (1566/1568-1648) Anno 2023 though...Trucker Tim stands on the shoulders of a policeman to cover his blue beacons with dirty knickers...I never said this out loud..ever...but I'm proud to be Dutch!! lmfao!🔴🔴🔴 🔵🔵🔵
In future, change your beacons to clear lenses with blue bulbs! If anyone asks, they're ambers.
Until they ask you to turn them on 😂
@@johndoughnut8617 Then place multi-color LEDS. Amber & Blue ;-)
Here in the Netherlands, the blue flashing light is only for emergency vehicles and is protected by law. Hence, the police in our country do not get very happy when they see a non-emergency vehicle wearing or having blue flashing lights on. However, in some cases you are allowed to use an orange flashing light if you are carrying a non-divisible load or you have a special transport. Orange flashing lights have the meaning that there is a special/dangerous situation.
But other than that, a nice video, Tim!
The Netherlands is a huge transport hub, therefore the truck culture is great.
3:16 the sheer panic in nippers voice was hilarious 😂
3:46 Shortly followed by him getting told off by the Mrs haha
Love it. I was smiling and laughing the whole video.
How I wish I was still trucking in Europe and the UK. It's just not the same in the US.
Those cops were awesome, standing on his shoulders and they didn't even write you a ticket..... lucky guy.
Keep it up Tim, I love it.
Can’t believe you had to cover your lights with pants 😂😂. Can’t wait for part 2. Currently watching your videos from the start again. I’ve just got to where you got your r500. From where you brought it to now is a complete transformation. You should be proud of yourself for the hard work
Thanks so much MGLukey, Its been an amazing journey, cant really believe it my self. The pants were all I had really to use 🤣🤣🤣
Love when crossing boarders into different countries one I go to often is from Dover - Calais. Just love the change in air and road trips!! keep it up mate
such a wholesome video, what an amazing community and guy 🗿❤ this video reminds me of when i were younder and went to truck shows, truckers were so kind and happy to share their passion it just melts my heart
Only Trucker Tim can get pulled over by the police and then he helps you to cover your lights 😂😂 cool cops
You really are living that dream life tim. Congratulations to you and all the people you have around you
My experience with dutch police is that how you treat them, they will treat you. If you stay polite and friendly and light hearted, then 9 out of 10 times, the officers stay that as well. You might get a ticket still but likely not all the tickets you deserve :)
Thanks for the video Tim, nice to see that you and your friends have a lot of fun at Assen ! I was there to with my truck, and say: it where the 2 most wonderful days of the year ! Maybe till next year Tim, I ' ll hope i met you then. Greets from Holland.
I think it would be cool if Tim could do a costume trailer ( box trailer ) for his truck.
would be an awesome build!
@@chriscandramaswana7035 😁😁😁
Definitely would be cool. Would be "safer" to keep the truck clean instead of hauling hay and what not.
as a dutch man i can say 2 things yes the dutch are tall and tim was pretty spot on with vrachtwagen (truck)
Nice Dutch police. If you were stopped at Rotterdam with your blue lights on, you would have been fined 100%. Too bad you're not at Truckshow Back To The Oldskool. Also a very cool show. Maybe next year?
Looks so fun. Congrats to owner operators, who lets not forget work extremely hard, work so well with customers to keep us fed, clothed & the whole of our life’s filled with goodies.
One has to admire the honour & pleasure these guys & gals get out of hauling stuff about.
You, Andy and nipper are just the perfect trio when together and the perfect quad with Shaun ❤❤😂
Good to see how cool the Dutch police is, in Germany you would’ve gone to jail for the blue lights 😂
Amazing Videos Tim, cause of you I'm applying for my licence... wanted to for years but decided it needs to be done.. Medical booked for Wednesday 8th August!!
When I first heard about The blue lights i thought impersonating a police officer
Just got back from Paningen Tractor Show the Dutch are just as mad for tractors all respect to the Dutch Police.
Hey Trucker Tim I live in the Netherlands very coincidentally and it is very strange to see someone coming to the Netherlands just like you for truckstar Greetings Glenn from the Netherlands...
I often see videos from the USA where people are very defensive towards the police. Not cooperating, insisting their constitutional rights are respected, being unfriendly towards the police, etc. And in most cases I think: 'Don't be so childish, the police officers ask for your ID, so just show it.'. But I realize that I view it from a Dutch perspective. A world where police officers are like these two. To be honest: I don't know any other behaviour of police officers than this behaviour. For years the Dutch police had the slogan: 'The police is your best friend'.
And I realize that in other countries, especially the USA, the relationship and interaction between civilians and the police is totally different.
I just wish truckers got respect in the UK like they do in Holland.
Hay Tim. Love your vids, watching all day today, cannot get enough of trucks and trucking... Makes me jeolous of what could of been; left school doing YOP schemes but never finished training not did I get a real job as a truck mechanic.. Was treated unfairly when young. Now I struggle on benifits, but evan now dream of driving trucks.. Cheers from a discontented truck mechanic in Somerset UK...
@4:55 "So who's truck is better, mine or your dad's?" Reading Little lads split second facial expression: "(I don't want to walk back home) YOURS!!" lol.
Brilliant as usual, first went to Truckstar 1999 amazing to see all the people out watching the trucks go by.
Classic Tim, I nearly wet myself when you stood on the coppers shoulders, awesome guy. Great video thanks 👍. All the best, Andi.
More great content Tim ,
Serious banter and craic 👍👍
What nice police in the NL....can't wait for part 2...
Tim you should keep a couple of flower pots in the truck save showing your pants
What an amazing display of trucks. We'll have given anything to have been with you lot.😊😊
I am Dutch myself and this absolutely typical 😂
Tim Thank you I subbed 5:27

That's me 1:05 and in the blue ranger 🫳🏻🫳🏻🚨
👋 thanks for sending me the video 👍👍
@@TruckerTim no problem 👍🏻

Common sense says you can’t have blue lights
I was waiting for something like this but amazing the Dutch police got you!

I was trucking with my dad in the area of Assen last week, ashame i haven’t spotted you.
Come around more often😀
The promise of the Dutch police is Waakzaam en Dienstbaar: vigilant and subservient. It's also written on the doors of the cars.
Mate..that was good, best one yet..you were all buzzing from the get go..looking forward to the next instalment
Saw your truck at Assen 👌. Hope to see you next year in Assen.

I bet your haters were lovin the beacon situation 😂
Aren't the Dutch lovely folk
Brilliant Tim you are ambassador for the truck show people you are a joy to watch keep them coming
❤🇬🇧🇬🇧👍
I wouldn't quite go that far. Using his horn endlessly, blowing smoke on public roads and actually USING blue lights to boot is plain disrespectful and not something I'd want to be associated with as a professional trucker. It is forbidden in the UK to have them turned on, and the same goes for the Netherlands, so there's no excuse for not knowing. I know you mean that he is having fun and all that, but if I was sharing those roads with him as a regular joe, I'd be pissed off as hell. Public roads are no party ground, and professional truckers should be more aware than any other party just how stringent and dangerous the road can be even when everyone behaves.
If nothing else, this video makes an excellent example of why having party lights or even blue lights installed 'just for shows and not used on the road' isn't acceptable. Truckers will find a reason to use the buttons once they've got them: it is simple human nature. So IMHO, that cop is right for saying those blue caps aren't even allowed to be installed and enforcing the underwear of shame on the cab.
All in all, I think this video actually puts truck show people to shame. But that's just me.
@@Aviertje lol, you do like a Karin
Hey Tim! I'm new on this channel and I've watched a couple of videos and i was laughing all the time! Your scania is Amazing! I am a Scania Enthusiast myself.... Greetings Italy! Keep up the good work Tim!
Love your videos Tim I wouldn’t watch them if my dad and grandad weren’t class one lorry drivers 👍👍👍 they got me into lorries
When on convo like to show you should have multi cameras in each cab pos a filmer and use it for everyone’s UA-cam also have cb or radios that can be herd on cam so we u can all talk and hear it all
The trucks at Assen were beauties.
Shame about the weather though.
Highly amusing. Thats how policing used to be in the UK. Now its just a cash cow. Fantastic feelgood video all the way through.
Trucks looking amazing. Passed you on the M74 last night. Gutted I'm working and can't make truckfest
Thats brilliant😂 thanks for tonights entertainment Tim. Regards from Finland
fantastic police officers
Excellent entertainment, I use the hull boat at least twice a month and cant believe I wasnt on the ship you was on . I seen a few on the Monday on the return but it was late when I arrived . Funny watching you in holland though and I'm amazed you didnt find the horrendous jumps on the motorway transiting the Rotterdam Ring road but they do tend to be going towards Antwerp and what's with Resto 143 man mounting the kerbs ! 😮 keep up the great content
welcome back to another trucker
Tim video
brill video from start to finish keep em coming
18:55 Heeee, Mikkeltje.
Loving the content Tim & the gang, keep up the hard work lads! 🔥🚛
Thank you Aiden ! Will do!👍👍
The Truckstar Assen event is a fantastic experience for everyone, this video shows a great journey! You were *really* lucky there with the blue lights. The Dutch law is strict about blue lights, even blue lighting in the interior is not allowed. Just like any lighting on the underside of any vehicle (15:49). I think that you would have gotten the fine and you cannot drive any further without actually removing the lights from the vehicle, if there were no big truckers event around the corner :) These police officers were polite and professional, and so were you.
Hi Tim thanks for another smashing video really enjoyed it can't wait for part 2 best wishes to you and your family 👍
I love your videos and have watched since you started driving your new truck on datashredders😁😁
That truck looks so pretty!! Just awesome good videos also keep it up !

I could hardly wait for the truck to be finished so we could get back some POV videos of you actually trucking. The truck is finished and you're just driving it around like its a car.
nipper getting a bit of grief lorry looks so smart with the blue stripes on the wingtops tim
You need clear beacons with orange bulbs will still look cool being clear but legal
Maybe I ought to change them 😬
Great video😊
