  • Welcome to Tom Maker's brand new series, 'Making It Happen'! In this series, we are sending Tom off to a variety of venues to test his angling ability and to see if he can 'Make It Happen'!
    To kick things off, Tom visits Acton Burnell in Shropshire, which is not only one of the most stunning venues that the UK has to offer, but also contains carp to over 50lb!! The carp certainly don't give themselves up easily, but can Tom pull it out of the bag and 'Make It Happen'? Tune in to find out!

    Nice one Tom! Great episode, stunning location and some beautiful carp. My favourite moment, although you won't agree, was the sentence "oh, it's a tench". We all hate it but that's fishing! Looking forward to episode 2

    I do hate to see lead dumping. It so easy to make a rig that bolts the fish on the take, but then turns into a ruining rig. Then if the line does break, the lead can come off, and only then. Bad for the environment, and a waste of money, unless you're sponsored?? A brilliant film, a great angler showing his thought process, thanks guys.

    Like the bend in the hook link. Never got the dead straight, dead stiff boom that can't be picked up from at least 30°/360°. OK I suppose if you have a big loop and a fair bit of play on a heli system, but otherwise a nice curve seems better.

    Hi Tom. Just a quick question, are you using existing horizons x5 as i can see that they got different real seat color ( grey ) and the ringing isn't black, is this upgraded version which is due out?

      It wasn’t possible to cast from the swim, so rather than wading out to cast each time and then walking the rods back I just put them on the water 👍🏼 wasn’t obvious from the film

    Good video Tom but fishing down south is so easy,why don't you test your skills up in the North East of England,but we all no you and other angler's don't

    • @fox_international
      @fox_international  3 роки тому

      This venue isn’t down south, it’s in the midlands! But don’t worry we’ll have Tom going further north! If you go back through our channel we’ve probably filmed more in the northeast than any other company!

    • @adammorsy885
      @adammorsy885 3 роки тому

      You clueless man... fishing “down south” as you put it is far harder than anything up north, we have the best venues stocked with the best fish, which equates to extreme angling pressure, which equates to extremely hard fishing, I live not far from Hampton court, and I love it ! We have some of the most historic carp waters all within 30-45 min... you would love it!! That’s why we don’t fish up north! Why would we want to!😂

      They where hardly submerged 😂 what about when it rains?

    • @Leec78
      @Leec78 3 роки тому +1

      I was wondering why they were so far away from his bivvy ..id be worried about the distance getting to the rods not by having them in the water. Not to bad during the day but i wouldnt want to run out at night that far.
