If Fionna's wish started mushroom war that destroyed almost all humanity, can it mean that Fionna and Cake were reincarnation of Finn and Jake before Shoko and tiger?
I believe this to be very plausible. There are just too many little odd things in that "normal" world. But the idea that Fionna, Finn, Simon etc. all belong in the same universe, just in different points in time, is also cool.

I would think logically Shoko had a human incarnation in her universe and the tiger might have just been a tiger.
I honestly think the bus looks like bounce house princess. I feel like it would be especially hard to translate her to a human, and it feels like a neat cameo for a character that appears twice.
I also feel like Simon’s having some sort of ice king flashback with the shaving cream, and as a side note his shower curtain looks a bit like jake’s ex from card wars.

Ok but the backgrounds are beautiful , they’re staying extremely close to the original art style and I’m so happy
I think that the world they're in is a recreation of the world, probably bc of some wish simon made. The weird things you pointed out and some others like the signs just reading "sign" and clothe store just reading "cloths" is an evidence that this is a made up world that is not perfect. Gumball still is pinkish but lsp isnt purple, that could be evidence of some malfuction within the wish that was made. And simon is loosing it bc he realises that.

I think the only two things you probably MedSTAR the image of Gunter and magic man’s hat in the first earlier scenes. Maybe I’m not sure if you mention those before, yet you did the rise there might be possibilities that Fiona, my calls the multi-verse to exist because of her magic wish
or this is like a farm world typa thing with fionna, cause there real world typa thing is all weird and little things stick out everywhere, not to mention no magic

I can't wait for this spin off series with Fionna and Cake. Fionna and Cake were underdeveloped in the original show. Very glad that they are getting more depth and character development. Good thing Finn is there. Sadly Jake can't meet them, only Finn can. Can't wait for Jeremy Shada to reprise his role as Finn

Thinking about Simon's past makes me rather sad.
Because for all we know, he was watching the world from someone else's eyes. Unable to be seen or heard for who he really was.. But it makes senses on why Ice King would write about Fionna and Cake. Because even though the crown is in control, and the Ice King is a different entity... Bits of Simon's memories seeps into him.
Yes, this may also be a reason for Simon's distress in the trailer. He may be not adapting very well to this new world. Also, in the AT finale we saw him seeking out prismo, he may as well be fixated on the Idea of bringing Betty back.
And to add to the theory that Simon and Fionna live in the same universe there is the fact Ice King was receiving the red beam signal through his crown and crown was made to... Grant wishes.
I think one of the best lines of the show is in the simon tapes
"If I do anythings, if I do any that hurts anyone, please, please forgive me"

Also the glitch is GREEN and who is acociated with the color green? The LICH. Remember, he can exist in every dimension thanks to Finn's Grass sword. So the Lich could actually be more threatening than before if he has access to all dimensions except Adventure Prime, Farmworld, and even the dead worlds
I mean… the main villain is somebody who can erase anybody’s existence. This goes along with this dude’s past theories about GOLB being an enforcer and Fionna plus Simon getting hunted down by them. But… I think the Lich shall make a return because it went to an infinite amount of dimensions being duplicated so.. The Lich will know straight away that Fionna is like an incarnation of Finn as he even stated “you have bested me in many worlds, child.” I want the Lich back for some small appearances or it could even be a supreme version of The Lich. I just want some more GOLB scenes

@@gametram6139 Remember, if Fionna is an alternative Finn, then that also means that she is a reincarnation of the Blue Catalyst Comet as well. And the Blue Catalyst Comet was theorized to have been made to fight against the Green Catalyst Comet, AKA The Lich
Theory :
Fionnaverse is directly linked to Simon's psyche. Since Simon got chewed by Golb and got his magic pullet out, the Fionnaverse has become more grounded and unmagical.
Yet Fionna still lives insides and whish for another life (no shots of normal Cake in the Time room so don't know the way she got there).
Simon's is basically tracking a way to bring Betty back, so him exploring dimensions and/or timelines on his own makes sense. Could very well find Fionna by pure chance and realise who they are since he's been the Ice King
The prophet
Here’s my theory:
I think that the verse that Fiona is in is still her universe and that time is moving forward normally. That shot we see of Finn has him aged as an adult which is parallel to Fiona’s which sets the timeline.
I think her universe was altered by a wish, but i can’t tell you why Fiona has a hint for adventure. Cake seems like she is bored either because she remembers something before the wish, or she and Fiona being tied by fate is giving them both this feeling.
My guess is Simon made the wish. He might have wished for a way to save Betty or some way to get her back. This makes sense because at the end of Adventure Time, we see him try to make a wish with Prismo. I think when we see Finn, he is helping Simon get to him, which is the Chronological beginning.
Simons flashbacks are him remembering his universe from Fiona’s.
I think the first flashback might be Fiona’s fantasy, and she may be talking to the girl. When they are flying in normal AT designs, they seem to actually be there. The girl is definetly from her universe because she’s wearing bunny ears, not bear ears. Simon is probably the author.
Real long shot, but I think Simon is either a villain, or he is someone they have to get to to begin to undo the wish. Either he might want to undo the wish, or he might not.
I think when we see Simon with the crown, it might be his memories from fighting with the crown.
The last scene with Fiona as Fiona, might be after the reversing of the wish.

1st anything that's in the shiny art style (magic girl Fionna and Piano ice Simon) is dreams, Fionna at the beginning of the series dreaming of a magical world and Simon having a nightmare about becoming ice King again. Also yes I think it's Simon wish, either he wishes the mushroom bomb never went off but my theory is after 1000 years Simon doesn't know this world he's lost and everywhere he goes has danger and pain this will drive Simon to "Make everything how it used to be" but with such a broad wish there's bound to be unseen outcomes

The weird thing about Gumball is how he looks pink-ish?? Maybe in this world elementals exist but hidden like in the past.

7:53 I dont think its an alternate reality but a Musical sequence about Simon losing his mind. The design looks alot like Simon (short hair, formal wear, thin but not extremely thin etc) but in Ice King's palette
Personally I think the main theme is going to be about change.
Fionna lives in a boring, non-magical and hates it. She wants to be magical and go on adventures. And she suddenly was able to do that. So many new magical worlds for her to explore
Meanwhile, Simon lived a happy life in a non-magical world. He had a job he loved. He had hobbies. He had his fiancé. Everythig was taken away from him because ou magic. And the last time we've seen Simon before becoming Ice King the world was still not really magical. Just some oozers and monsters. It must be such a shock to go from a normal world to a post-apocalyptic world and then wake up 1000 years later at a completely magical world.
I also think its going to be about Simon's relationship with Ice King. He lost so many things because of Ice King. His life, his job, his fiancé, his sanity. But at the same time, he also gained alot: friends, Marcy, "immortality" etc. And he stayed as Ice king for SO LONG. That even in Obsidian, after YEARS of him not touching the crown, he is still used to being Ice king and copes by dressing up as him and getting inside a Freezer.

I can't imagine the writers would retcon the entire AT show to be the result of Fionna's wish and Prismo's whole monkey-paw double-sided wish thing... That said, I love the idea that Fionna (and her pet cat Cake) were friends with Simon in the 90s, before the Mushroom War. That could certainly be an avenue the writers explore. A vibe I'm getting from this trailer is that alternate reality Simons are having weird, shared memories and traumas with AT's Simon/IK (which would confuse and stress the heck out of them, right!). Simon looking stressed and anguished could be because he's having flashbacks and vivid memories of the AT Simon (which he doesn't understand). But also, I think we need to consider the likelihood that Betty-Golb is behind the scenes pulling the strings in a lot of this. In order to save herself and Simon, perhaps she's manipulating Simons from across the Multiverse to do something or other, and Fionna and Cake are some how pivotal to her plan's success. Who knows... Whatever the case, I'm seriously hyped!
We have to remember that GOLB was breaking down Betty, Simon, and Finn into their simplest forms. It could have had repercussions with affecting him and this seems like the AT Simon so he could be stressed from not being able to get Betty back as you can look at what happened to Magic Man… GOLB is still in control really, he just took the avatar of Betty. He might be an enforcer of chaos, anything stepping out gets checked out or Betty’s last part of existence had stopped him from destroying Ooo temporarily…
Here's my theory:
Fionna and Cake encounter Magic Man's hat and Fionna says " it should be more magical" they suddenly get teleported to Prismo who then grans them their wish
Meanwhile, Simon gets a glimpse of this and realizes if they keep going on with this journey they will encounter something that will make the mushroom war even worse, maybe even killing marceline. So he decides to travel to each realm to stop Fionna and Cake. He meets Finn and Finn decides to help him get through this realm of monsters
Near the end of this series, Cake and Fiona are tasked with retrieving "Ice king's" crown but are stopped by Simon who unfortunately has to wear this crown to overpower and send them back home and that explains the scene where ice king showed up.

Actually, now that you mention it, the begining is really wierd. The lamp post is all crooked, the pieces of the sidewalk and buildings are missing and there is a window that just looks really messed up...
I think that Fiona and Cake are in Simon's mind, as in Simon created a universe(s) but then was altered when he wasn't Ice King anymore. Then in the "normal" universe we see Fiona and Cake in, broke off into the multiverse, which then in turn broke Simon's mind.

I think that the world that Fionna is in the beginning is the alternate world that she wished for. Remember the synopsis states that Fionna and Cake awake in a non-magic world with NO MEMORIES OF THEIR PAST ADVENTURES. This means that the non-magic world is NOT their homeworld but they were pulled into another dimension or they made a wish that caused them to be in the non magic world.
Or maybe this is the same dimension as the og adventure time and they were dragged into the future

2:00 thanks for pointing out that weird stuff w/ the grate and sidewalk bc now looking at the initial wide shot of the city (the very first shot of the trailer/this vid), there are actually a lot of "off" things. like look at a couple of the windows on the buildings, several misplaced bricks or sidewalk tiles, the bench, the road lines, the street light, every other thing seems to have some kind of imperfection or bend in it. combined w/ the stuff resembling the virtual world from "imaginary resources" and some other things, I think this seemingly normal human world fionna is living in is indeed some kind of virtual reality. and the reason cake is acting weird and fionna feels a lack of magic in her life is bc they're realizing it's virtual and/or being pulled out of it, but their memories have likely been messed with. SO much more to speculate on, but this was my biggest takeaway @_@
This is a wish reality made by Prismo. That's the only explanation I can come up with.

I think it makes sense that Fiona made a wish that created the alternate time line from the original AT just like Finn's wish that the Lich never even ever existed created farm world where the bomb never went off
Is anyone else wondering if Fionna will have the Mertens surname canonized or will they give her a separate full name to make her more distinct?
It would be interesting if she is actually a distant relative of Finn

She does have a different name, it's Campbell. Makes sense since in this universe that would've been her dad's surname.
I think that Simon probably knew Fionna and Cake before and after the events of the mushroom war and him starting to develop white hair and becoming stressed could be an indicator that we will get to see his struggles with the crown and how it affected his pre Ice king life more in depth. As for Fionna and Cake, I feel they will probably end up meeting Prismo at some point and wish to go on a magical adventure that sees them exploring the multiverse and avoiding the mushroom bomb.
Simon is the saddest character, he started as just a guy who liked to learn about artifacts then gets basically magic alseimers for 1000 years, 1000 years is a long time and litteraly everything he knew would be gone. While he's crazy he still clings onto the most important thing to him his girlfriend betty that he called his Princess, sadly this was twisted and makes the ice king go after every princess not knowing hes searching for his loved one. Then when his mind finally came back it was because of the efforts of Betty whos been trying so hard to get simon, then when they're finally together again, she becomes an entity that he cant reach that exists in no universe. All this might lead simon to go to prismo (we know he knows how to get there from when he tried to wish for betty and wished something else, mabe that the mushroom bomb never hit, or maybe he wishes he lived a world thats more familiar
I'm not sure if you noticed or not but at the part with the coffee shop beside the Coffee Queen machine is the fridge and at the top it says ice. Combine the words ice and queen and you get Ice Queen.
I think what we're being shown is an alternate world, rather than the world of Simon's past, for one specific reason: While I can see other characters being pre-reincarnation versions of their Adventure Time selves; Marshal Lee and Marceline wouldn't exist at the same time using that logic, as Marceline was born pre Mushroom War.
In the comic series fionna and cake the ice queen does not have the same backstory as Simon, she was actually a water nymph and never ended up taking in Marshall lee, so he would have a whole different backstory than marceline

2:41 It's either a rose or a tulip, but either way, it's drooping, potentially wilting. This is symbolic of sadness and loneliness, among other depressing emotions. This could be a reflection of how Fionna feels about the world she's living in.
Either that or I'm reading into it wayy too much
6:15 If you look closely you'll notice that this most likely ISN'T the Fionna and Cake we'll be following throughout the show but instead the fictional versions from Ice King's stories. Notice how this Fionna is wearing a skirt and not the gym shorts that Real World Fionna wears with her "Adventuring" outfit.
I feel like the Fionna and Cake reality is another universe, and Ice king can sense somehow with the Crown said universe.
Remember Ice king said he can see stuff with his "Wizard eyes" which could mean he had some other powers he wasn't aware of.
Also, the way Fionna could reach Prismo's room is with a powerful object that connects realities, that's what the Enchiridion showed to Finn and Jake and that's how other people has crossed realities by mistake or on purpose.
PS: Is that Huntress Wizard shapeshifting/flying next to Simon and Finn?
I think that even without his wizard eyes and stuff like that simon still has a mental connection to fionna and cake, but because he is no longer ice king, aka no longer insane and with other abilities that help him process this information being beamed into his mind, simon literally can’t handle it as a normal person and it’s breaking him, which is why we see him so stressed, he’s getting these visions that he can no longer process as a sane man.
Honestly maybe Simon's storyline and Fionna and Cake's storylines don't have to connect and that's okay. Or I just dont want to believe that Fionna set off the Mushroom War 😢

I am thinking initially that Fionna and Cake came from another parallel universe, where I feel the Mushroom War never did happen compared to the universe of Finn and Jake, or a universe with no magic at all in its history. Explains to why we have older Finn and aged Simon, anyway those are my thoughts so far
Can’t wait to see the series and get hyped XD
The mistakes in the boring world are ALL OVER THE PLACE. I counted 11 of them just in the first frame of the trailer. Cuts in the sidewalk, a cut in a park bench, windows with top halves misaligned with the bottom, a misshapen streetlight, holes in the external parts of buildings, and a piece of wall on the roof of a building that's farther forward than it should be. In the next shot, there's a rainwater cistern that's missing huge parts of it yet it still holds water as if nothing is wrong. Plus a distant telephone pole is missing a segment near the top, but it still stands, like a Minecraft tree with one of its trunk blocks removed. In the shot with genderbent Ash and Wildberry, there's the upside down cone as mentioned by Paxw, but there are also 2 segments of crosswalk stripes that look like they were slid out of place.
I think this is foreshadowing that this world is an illusion. One created to imprison the Fionna & Cake we know in mundane lives in a mundane world. We know that the main antagonist of this series is a powerful entity looking to erase Fiona and Cake from existence (Source: press.wbd.com/us/media-release/adventure-continues-hbo-max-orders-adventure-time-fionna-cake-wt-series. follow the source link on the series's page on the AT wiki if you don't trust that one). I believe that this faux reality was its first attempt to get rid of them: trapping them in an illusory, non-magical world. Fionna and Cake's longing for a more magical world is what little is left of their original selves telling them that this is wrong, this isn't how things are supposed to be. And when Fionna says "I knew my life was supposed to be magic!", I think that's immediately after being told the truth by Prismo. She was in the Time Room in that shot, after all. I think Prismo brought Fionna and Cake to the Time Room to help them restore reality.
Anyway, that's my theory. What do you guys think? Thoughts and comments are welcome.
*P.S.* I do also have a mini-theory about why Fionna changes jobs while running (Paxw probably said this already but I'm typing this halfway through the analysis because I couldn't stop myself). I think she somehow acquired some sort of multiverse power that changes her job based on what she's doing/thinking/planning. The fact that she's _sprinting_ and turned into a lifeguard makes me think she's rushing to save somebody. But that's just speculation, there's not much to go on.
The scene where she's running and changing jobs is going to be a dream, representing the potential Fionna has and how she feels she can do anything but just doesn't

Fiona's world is the first and real world. But Fiona's wish create our world of adventure time

Its possible that sioman is aging really slowly almost immortale and giving the world enough time to go back to how it was before ooo but now something(maybe fionna's wish) is causing the world to change back where ooo is leaking back through and, Simon's body is getting affected by it maybe turn back to ice king?
At the sart of the trailer the building's windows are deformed and the line on the road is bot staight and even on the right hand side a building seems to be missing a block. Maybr this world human Fionna is in is slowly being deformed or destroyed.
Fiona and cake existed during before the war and probably was friends with or known by simon… then war started and simon went ice king he then proceeds to create tales of fiona and cake.
I'm just gonna take a wild guess that Fionna and cake takes place after adventure time

The shiny stylised scenes I think is Fionna dream, dreaming of a magical world, or remembering her past in fragments through dreams
Can you imagine them going into the Bravest Warriors universe? THAT WOULD BE SO COOL! And will allow us to take a glimpse as to what happened to the Bravest Warriors after the events of the 4th Season finale.

what if the mushroom bomb never exist maybe if magic exist the ancient past instead the return of magic in reverse magic fade maybe were the meteor end the dinosaur in finns universe the impact never happen never brought the change but in Fionna universe it did happen?
what if cake actually got her powers from playing in a magic puddle like jake said jokingly in a s1 episode?? or the catlike equivalent. scratching a magic couch idk

Im so hyped! I hadnt noticed it had so many details and easter eggs, really makes you appreciate the work they did!
We know canonically that Ice King is getting dreams of Fionna from Primo casting these images into his head. So it's possible that the storyline is taking place in the present, and Simon's arc in the present is him coming to terms that they aren't fictional. As they go throughout the multiverse proving their existence as they near his universe.
I was so happy ❤ Adventure Time is my favourite cartoon, I think the city is Humantown, from maybe the comics?
Finn could be helping Simon as he remembers his past more and learn about Fionna and Cake.
No no! Considering that we see human takes on the original characters, & Fiona being an adult at the same time as Finn, it tells us that is an alternate timeline
Fiona is experiencing Everything Everywhere All At Once. This is Fiona from another dimension. Which means the Lich failed to ignite the Mushroom War in this world.
We then ask the question, will the Lich's hand show up?

For some reason it seems to me that the world shown in the trailer is presented before the events of some kind of global catastrophe, as soon as Fionna somehow gets to the Prism and makes a wish so that her life is filled with magic and adventure, this leads to a change in her world like Ooo, that is, a repetition of the Mushroom War.
But wouldn't it be the Ice queen Simon equivalent that would have lived in Fionas world pre mushroom war?

I think everyone could be wrong about Simon's "aging". I know it sounds wild, but what if this white bunch of hair is actually a sign of Ice King coming back?
Think about it. In the first and second scene where we see Simon, he appears to be looking into mirror and gets real depressed, most probably because he noticed the white hair. Maybe he's breaking down, because he already knows what it means.
The other thing that kinda puts more weight into my argument is the abondance of Ice king in the promotional material. He appears in the trailer near the end and on the poster. Maybe it's because of some past time event like Simon's and Marcy's story but idk
Okay okay, I found something big, the whole universe has been eaten by Golb. In come along with me when Betty and Ice King get eaten by Golb she's wearing magic man's hat and it's the first thing that disappears from reality when things start to revert or "demagicfy" like we see this whole world. Magic man's hat is the first thing we see from ooo in the first few seconds of the trailer.

The trailer made me sad. If I'm not mistaken Fiona and Cake were Ice king's story. So in the sneak peak they meet with each other when Ice king was loosing his sanity. So does it mean that Fiona and Cake story that was written by Ice king is his memories, that he almost forget?

1:20 that thing on the cover of the Manga reminds me of the creepy deer we've seen in AT (or the one that Magic Man turned into a telescope). I'm also picking up some Midnight Gospel vibes from the trailer, especially in the weird futuristic scenes (they also remind me of BMOs episode of Distant Lands)
