I've been to the now filled in Lovelock Caves, look up the story of Sara winnemucca and her grandmother. The giants had actual natural red hair and wore woven sandals that were very reminiscent of ancient Egypt. But the sizes of the sandles would be an equivalent of an US size 18 shoe.
