- First visit to the coast in a few months so I checked out 3 locations for you to go and visit.
Still very sandy but plenty to find nonetheless.

Some lovely finds well done
Hiya bud, great video - really enjoyed watching that. Some lovely finds too!
Thanks Steve, we will get out for the day soon enough 👍
@@theyorkshirecrystalhunter5462 yes absolutely mate 👍👍👍
Really enjoyed this! 👏🏻
Thank you Gemma, much appreciated 😊
Great video as always!
That septarian was absolutely beautiful. Really cool crystal formations, It'll look amazing polished up.
Thanks Jordan,
It will, if I haven't damaged it too much and it survives the grinding
Another brilliant video. Really enjoyed that.
One of my favourite finds is my little septarian nodule from Easington found after your fab tips.
Another that would probably not appeal to most but that I find fascinating and appealing to the eye are some oxidised shale pebbles that have funky orange patterns through them. I first found them as a kid and had forgotten where I stumbled upon them until a trip to runswick bay last year where I found them in abundance again. After some research I found that they are a by product from the dying industry and are therefore associated with the phrase "taking the pi$s"
I love how a little pebble can transport you through history and back to the modern day again. Bloomin brilliant!
I like those, there is quite a bit exposure at runswick, I find a lot of iron stone interesting
I need to learn to drive. I can only get to what I call "commercial" beaches. I found my first sharks tooth last month in Walton on the Naze. My garden has given me some nice quartz surprises. That ammonite though. 😱😍
Whereabouts roughly are you? I can direct you to some spots that are accessible or at least a short train journey away.
Great to find garden quartz though
@@theyorkshirecrystalhunter5462 I'm in Enfield North London.
If you can get to Burnham have a look at the north banks of the river heading west, some lovely selenites and Pyrites can be found there
@@theyorkshirecrystalhunter5462 Thank you so much for that. I'll get over there in the next couple of weeks. I'll let you know if I find anything.😊
Thanks for taking us on your beach trip 👍
Always a pleasure to take you 😊
Loving your channel mate. I hope to get to Yorkshire sometime and do some looking on the beach for calcite.. can I ask why you called that large stone a septarian? Forgive my ignorance
Thanks John, appreciate that.
It's a septarian nodule, there are several different types and quite a few are found up in the clays along the coastlines, not just in Yorkshire
@@theyorkshirecrystalhunter5462 cheers for that. I live in America, but I love British minerals specimens. I recently purchased a large calcite crystals from a batch of large crystals that came out of the Dirtlow Rake area. I am going back to pick up the largest one in a weeks time.
Its a great area for Calcites and fluorite specimens. About an hour from me so I love to explore there.
@@theyorkshirecrystalhunter5462 right on mate. I try to get to Manchester to visit relatives there about every five years. I might take track there next time. .
What is pyrite and septarian? Thanks
Hi Kelly,
I have videos on both, if you scroll back a few videos these may be helpful to you
