Hey guys, I just wanted to pin this so I don't have to repeat myself in the replies. I appreciate all your comments whether they are positive or negative. I made this video to inspire people to try something different and the point I was trying to make is that you guys should be using what you think is best and most fun for you. You guys need to find YOUR meta load out and don't look at others. Love you guys ♥️
Super cool to see your interpretation and examples of how you play the class! I wish more people were as articulate as you are explaining your thought process!
Saw your setup a week ago and im obsessed, cus i can see the potential and i love the playstyle but i still have to get used to it. Great loadout and great video ❤🔥
I like how any load out can be good if used right. I have three light classes since that’s my main. I recently started using Grapple/LH1/Thermal/Stun/SmokeNade. I know it’s niche but I’ve been performing really well with this being able to take out invis lights and do massave damage to mediums and heavies.
The problem I have with tracking dart, as an opener at least, is that you are giving up the element of surprise. I can see it being pretty usefull once they start fleeing at the end of a fight. Anyway I play: Bow, because fun Grapple, to get to high ground/escape/trickshots Goo nade, to create high ground if there is none Thermal bore, to open up the objective so I can defend from high ground, or sometimes a long sideline Glitch nade, in case they dome shield when stealing.
You’ve convinced me to try swapping out my sonar for darts for a bit, been running a similar build for a while just with sonar instead as I felt it was more impactful, but my aim might’ve just been bad lol
Sniper and dash is best light combo. It is a surprising close range monster when you include melee hits. Just gotta hit your shots. Hipfire is surprisingly accurate also. Just barrel stuff. Gives you long range viability, and can compete in close range When hipfiring strafe speed is so high
Looking at your loadout feels like you want to play a sniper but can't let go of the XP. Jokes aside, this is a pretty creative and surprisingly versatile loadout
Very interesting video. I really like how this makes the light class more scout and initiation focused. Thank you! If you are available, do you mind if I ask for videos like how to position yourself to optimize the use of these gadgets? It seems like to me the tracking dart is sometimes no use for situations where enemies comes out of ‘no where’ so I kinda wanna minimize that situation by good positioning
I'm in the process of making a discord server, I will make a community post on UA-cam about it when it's ready. You can come along and join the server and I'll share some clips with you there if that helps. Also you can check out some of my live streams here on my channel in the meantime, there could be some examples there. Thank you for the lovely comment ♥️.
No portal nades is really surprising, considering its objectively hands down light's best gadget with any shred of a coordinated team. Though you don't play like most lights. Even pro scene lights use cloak, TP nade, stun gun pretty much as must picks - these are definitely very good and not "Outdated S1" gadgets. Cool to see another way to play light, and disagreements about what is meta.
You're right, they can be good in a coordinated team but I forgot to add that I always solo queue ranked. I also don't like them too much since I wouldn't use them as a movement option because I just play so well with the dash already and having a whole gadget just to run the vault to cash out quicker is just not worth it for me. I tried the gadget and it just wasn't for me at all xD
Also Yes those meta builds are actually all good picks, I feel anyone can do great with any of the gadgets. I was hoping to inspire some people to try off-meta stuff too because who knows what you might be good with till you try it. I'm also very stubborn I never use meta stuff in games I always try to prove myself like 'No! I will do it on my terms!!' and then cripple myself xD that's just the way I am lol
People need to learn how to play Light with a teamcomp build like this, great example!. Watch the winrate of Light skyrocket if it is played on a teambase build instead of a team deathmatch build.
I came into this video thinking I'd be watching something I already disagreed with, but lo and behold I actually think it's a solid loadout that serves a good singular focus: team play. All 3 of your gadgets are good for initiating in 1 way or another. I do think that with the current plug meta for fastest pacing/plugging that it's probably more important than tracking or thermal, but I also understand that you play solo queue and need to rely on yourself a bit more for everything. I think the LH1 may be a better pick as thermal bore pairs with it really well. Good video
Great video! In my opinion I would prefer the Gravity Vortex instead of the Thermal Bore. Yes you lose the destruction but you keep the ability to stop steals. And if you have a good position your team can just get free kills as they float in the air.
Im always torn on which gadget should I give up on light... I also enjoy normal nades a lot so theres that... Stun gun is pretty bad IMO too xD Dont understand why it gets praised so much
To be honest I don't really like it. I understand that it's used to plug the cash out quicker which can be really good but it's not necessary to win games. For movement I prefer dash and I solo queue so team movement with it doesn't really happen and it doesn't beat a jump pad or zipline which is a very common pick by people. When I tried the gateway, it would stay unused for like 85% of the match and I don't like that.
I love your pfp, did you make it or take it from somewere. Also, nice tracking, i've been aim training but still can't translate the trainer skill to in game lol, am so inconsistent
Thank you! I like your pfp too, Adventure Time is one of my favorite shows. To answer your question, no I did not make this art I'm nowhere near good enough xD. This was made by Zedotagger you can find his beautiful stuff here -> x.com/Zedotagger. I credited him on my Twitch but not yet here, my UA-cam is still in very early stages lol. As for my aim don't get the wrong idea, only my best clips go on UA-cam, I'm pretty inconsistent myself xD
I absolutely hate the detected effect, just completely obscures the enemy's body and makes it impossible to track during fights, if nobody brings it the better
Stun gun literally isnt bad. Imagine bro gets the pick on you because you were a second late on noticing him and his team is following behind and he invis' back out. Honestly think the only bad light gadget is flash
Teammate rushed alone and died, he kept the high ground with his other teammate and kept applying pressure so the enemies wasn't able to 3v2 them. And then when they started to back off he jumped to res. If you don't understand this, then don't start to criticize his decisions.
@@zkharr what you're describing isn't high elo. literally anyone who understands the game at a decent level can hit diamond. Like theres plenty wrong with this build man, well edited and designed and thought out content but you might want to look at what the true high elo teams and players are using
I'm sorry if I made the impression that this load out is the new 'meta' to get into the top 500 or something. I only play for like 3hrs 2-3 days a week I don't have time nor a team to get up that high elo to prove that this could work up there. I also don't look at other UA-camrs or streams or top people to see how they play because it's more fun and interesting to find out yourself what you like. If I had a load out like the one you are saying I'd be stuck in gold and not having fun on top of that because I don't enjoy those gadgets and they don't fit how I position myself and my play style. I'm asking you to please be open-minded and realise that not everyone plays this game to be the best but just for plain old fun.

not gonna lie this video took me from "why tf are you using those gadgets" to "damn i gotta use those now" in like 2 minutes. great stuff

Thank you! ☺️
I love seeing people play non meta loadouts and just doing what works for them
Glad you enjoyed it!
Yeah I feel that solo queue almost requires a different build. So many times I setup a gateway and teammates just don’t trust where I’m putting it
He’s using the op smg rn wdym
@@Jaxxson. ol reliable not really op

That's great to hear. That's what it's all about, just finding stuff that works for you.
What a Video no useless time waste just straight to the point, aswell as showing a good loadout🎉
I started using thermal bore lol it’s really good, nice video ❤
Good vid brother keep it up happy to see some genuine love for the gane

Anyway I play:

Goo nade, to create high ground if there is none
Thermal bore, to open up the objective so I can defend from high ground, or sometimes a long sideline
Glitch nade, in case they dome shield when stealing.
You definitely put me on to thermal bore and tracking dart I will be trying both out idk how you can pass up a gateway though
Love it when people showcase new loadouts ❤️
I would totally use this.
thanks for showing the way of teamplayer light
You’ve convinced me to try swapping out my sonar for darts for a bit, been running a similar build for a while just with sonar instead as I felt it was more impactful, but my aim might’ve just been bad lol
Just don't use them against me 🫣😂
Big fan of the tracking dart. Such a useful gadget.
First game I tried this loadout I got 12 kills and 0 death in quick cash. I like it. Tracking dart is so good, i never used it before.
always so interesting and satisfying to watch you play

1:58 that's Seoul, but damn I didn't know you only need 2 shots
i would say people don't use thermal bore that much because you can supplement its value with barrels
thanks for this vidéo ! I subscribe ^^
+hey man u have to try LH1 with red dot, grapple hook and any other util of your choice
great video this makes me want to try light again in the 'competitive' gamemodes
This was super informative gonna give this a try thanks!!!
update i love it thanks man
This is like full support light. I will try this. Seems fun
Whe need to discuss Flamethrower and gravity lift, + gas grenade+ shield
I've played a lot of hours with cloaking, I can't imagine playing with dashes, it hurts me a lot :(
good stuff lad, imma try it out
I want my tracking dart back on medium! Used to combine it with recon sense that was really op. Wil definitively try this light build in WT!

Interesting. All last season I ran nearly this exact same load out but with the LH1. Thermal bore is very underrated
I Agree!

Good content bro
You make tracking dart seem so intimidating
Edit: is gateway worth it over any of these gadgets?
Yes the gateway is worth using if it works for you. I just never really got it to work with my play style.

Is it worth dropping stun for steal prevention, to use something else?
Depends what you are good with! I use my gun and the thermal bore for steal prevention.
